Janine de la vega was the first reporter of the scene, what can you tell us about the investigation at this point. Reporter the fire is out and it was relatively small but firefighters think this could have been intentionally set. Now, an employee told me that the Security Company that monitors this cannibu called and said the motion detectors in the building had gone off and a fire had broken out. Firefighters were called to the phc club on sanker road this morning at 4 20 and saw flames in the building. A side window was broken when they arrived. Firefighters had to force entry to the building to get inside and fight the fire. The Sprinkler System was triggered which helped keep it small and it was knocked down in about 20 minutes. There was potentially a broken window. We have an odor of gasoline, and then the concerns that its a commercial building here at 4 00 in the morning to have a fire in the commercial building unoccupied is a concern. Reporter again, there is no cause yet on how this fire started and thats why they want arson investigators to come by and look into this because it was unoccupied because they smelled gasoline, and again, that window was broken. Now, if it is determined that it is definitely suspicious and an arsonist is responsible, they are going to look in to see if this medical Marijuana Dispensary was actually targeted or not. Shes live on townsend street. I know pg e is working to get the power back. Reporter yes, they are. I just talked to pg e and we can update you with a lot of new details. I want to show you whats happening bind me. Crews are hard at work. We have a crew up high trying to stabilize the lines and theyre trying to get the pole out of the way. It was attached to those wires. It is now being held up by this big truck and its hanging up over the street. The problem has been they wanted to get this power pole out of the way. It feeds one of the buildings out here and once it gets this out of the way, they say they can turn on the power to much of the people that are affect bid the power outage and that will do a lot to make the situation better. They still have hours of work to do out here. That is the latest from pg e. And how we ended up in this spot to begin with. This started about 1 50 this morning. I got off the phone with San Francisco<\/a> police. They tell me this started as a chp chase that ended essentially when chp lost sight of the car that car ended up down here on 5 5th and townsend crashing into the power pole and then into a fence and into a truck that was parked in the caltrain employee parking lot. At that point it became an accident investigation or an accident report for San Francisco<\/a> police. The driver of the car took off and is still at large at this time. So that part of the investigation is continuing and in the meantime there are a lot of people left in the dark. I was doing work remotely, and everything was off and i had to make sure the servers were down. And the Security Guard<\/a> told me what happened. This isnt going to be back on anytime soon so i went back to the office, shut down the servers and now im just going to stand here and wait until this is back. Reporter and he is still waiting. We saw the after math of one of them there at 21st and folsom. The Fire Department<\/a> tells us they responded to ten different calls of Christmas Tree<\/a>s on fire in the street. Out on ocean beach, federal police and park rangers are steming up their patrols because of the annual illegal tradition of burning Christmas Tree<\/a>s on the beach. In San Francisco<\/a>, you can legally dispose of your tree, just by putting it outside on your usual trash collection day. Crews are looking into the cause of a water main break in berkeley. The 6inch water main broke on dwight way at 6 00 last night. Workers had to shut down the main, cutting off water to 16 homes overnight. Lets go back to san jose, the fire at a Cannabis Club<\/a>, janine de la vega first there and this fire is being called suspicious. Reporter fire investigators are here on the scene. Theyre actually inside this medical Marijuana Dispensary<\/a> looking around for evidence. Now, a window was broken in the building. They also smelled gasoline and this happened at 4 20 the in the morning, so all those things when you add them up, it raised a red flag. When firefighters arrived to the health care Cannabis Club<\/a> they spotted the flames through the window and broke through the front door to get inside. The fire was in a room in the corner where the sprinklers went off to help keep the fire small. Firefighters noticed the broken window and the smell of gasoline and started having suspicious. Gasoline is an accelerant and our concerns are why is there an odor of gasoline in a commercial building be. Well have to figure out why there was that odor associated with this fire. Reporter a manager of the dispensary says they were alerted by the Security Company<\/a> that monitors the club. They reported the motion sensors had been set off and smoke was seen in the security cameras. He told me this is very upsetting that this has happened and he wants to know how this fire was started. Some of the questions he has is was it accidental or was the club targeted. And again, thats what fire investigators are going to try to figure out.
