I do want to mention the traffic is doing very nicely on most of these bay area freeways. Starting off with interstate 80 and you can see it is a very nice drive with no major problems from the carquinez bridge to the mccarthur maze. And if you are driving to the bay bridge toll plaza westbound that traffic looks good. There is almost no delay at the toll plaza. If you are drive into san show say all the freeway theres are doing well. Lets go back to the desk. Back to the breaking news we first told you about at 4 30. At Oakland Airport an investigation under way right now after a fire outside of terminal one. Alex savidge is right there telling us what probably caused that fire. What do you know alex . Reporter some anxious moments here after this small fire started inside terminal one. Let me show you what was burning. It was this pile of wood and cardboard. You can see part of that is singed in that area. All of these Construction Materials were inside of terminal one. Just inside the door here in the baggage claim area. They were all parked here in the corper where you see the wall is burned. No one hurt in this fire and fire crews came in and contained it very quickly. One person was detained in connection with this fire. We saw the person in the back of a sheriffs patrol car and a sergeant here at the scene told me that man will be questioned about this fire. A witness here at the scene told me the man in custody appears to be homeless and he says that man tried to board a bus to get away but the deputies stopped him. That same witness tells me the fire alarms did go off inside terminal one and people did evacuate the building. He told me that was quite an orderly scene. We will get more information from the Sheriffs Office on the man that was taken into custody. I should point out, we checked in with airport officials here and they tell me this fire is not impacting flights. Live this morning in oakland. Alex savidge ktvu channel 2 news. A woman suspected of killing a google executive in santa cruz may face carjacks in a separate Death Investigation in georgia. Why do you think its an overdose . Because there is nothing else it could be. Was it accidental or intentional . I think accidental. Alex tickleman called 911 last september in georgia to report her boyfriend had overdosed on heroin. 53yearold dean died from a mixture of heroin, ox city koa done, and alcohol. We are going to go back and look at it and make sure everything we determined to be correct almost a year ago is still factual and accurate. California investigators say tickleman searched online for information about how to legally defend herself after giving a lethal dose of heroin. Tickleman is currently charged with manslaughter in santa cruz. But prosecutors are considering elevating that charge to Second Degree murder. Tickleman and the google executive met through Online Dating websites seekingarrangements. Com. She told investigator she is a prostitute. The site released a statement saying the site does not allow prostitution and quote we are shocked to learn of this tragedy. Investigators say ticklemans case is the latest example of the growing sex industry in Silicon Valley. One student allegedly used an incriminating photo of a girl to force her into sexual acts. We dont know yet if the boy wanted by police is that same student. One suspect is still on the loose, another in the hospital with life threatening injury office a shootout in santa rosa. It happened just after 1 30 yesterday afternoon at Bennett Valley jewelers. Witnesses say two men burst in and shot the store manager in the arm. Th shop owner then chased after and shot the suspects. One was caught and held down by an off duty police officer. The other suspect got away. I feel bad for everybody in the store that had to experience this. Its horrible. The store owner shot at other Armed Robbers last summer. He believes his shop is targeted because its the only certified rolex dealer. The wounded employee will be okay. Investigators believe the suspect who escaped may have left the area. Time is 5 06. On Treasure Island higher than for usual radiation level has been found. The apartment with the elevated reading has been vacant since 2009. That location will be released in the full report due to come out next week. The navy adds this was the only place where it found higher than normal radiation levels. A Record Number of west nile cases in Santa Clara County have people there worried about increased fogging. 286 infected birds were confirmed. That is three times the amount found last year. Police looked extensively for daphne. The family is still searching for answers. John web was the only person of interest named by police and was arrested a day after reporting his daughter missing and then released after prosecutors denied to file charges.
