San jose police are investigating the discovery of a marijuana growhouse. They found it while responding to a burglary call. Janine de la vega has more. Reporter reporter these people had moved in make a couple of months ago. Police have confirmed that no one lived here and they let us come this house and what we saw was walltowall Marijuana Plants. Heres a look at what police found shortly after 3 00 a. M. 300 harvested Marijuana Plants in every room of the house. Police initially responded because a neighbor called 911 saying it appeared the home was being burglar id burglarized. The people saw people loading property out of the house. People living nearby had no idea. It scares me. Reporter nobody suspected anything . Nobody. Reporter Reporter Police say the people responsible had even tampered with the wires of pg e so the Power Company would not grow suspicious as to why so much power was going through the house. The Fire Department was called in for a short time because jugs of chemicals were found in the bathrooms and the fumes were overpowering for the officers. It determined those chemicals were fertilizers and firefighters keeped deemed it safe. Police say the marijuana was worth about 100,000 on the streets. There were only stalks left and about 7,000 worth of equipment was found. And you can get the you can bet the narcotics unit will track down who is responsible for this growhouse. Reporter well, right here on market street, i did an interview with the mta spokesperson, he came out here and updated the situation. He says computers who use subway systems can expect a smooth right. All of the issues has been resolved. He tells me all of their trains are running on their regular schedules. Let me show you the scene inside the van ness station. All of the trains again moving this morning. There was a shutdown, though, last night. It was about 6 00 when the entire subway system stopped because of a blown transformer at the van ness station. Crews had to work throughout the night to fix the problem. And then finally at 1 30 this morning, they had everybody up and running again. With all of the subways out of service. You can imagine it was a major hassle for tens of thousands of commuters. Many had to take the bus. The mta spokesperson said the hard work helped with service this morning. We thought we would have to provide modified office on the j and n line but crews were able to get it fixed this morning. Were proud of that work. We certainly appreciate the patience of our customers while we got this resolved. Reporter mta spokesman paul rose says muni is looking at the possibility that rain damage from sundays storm in the bay area is what caused this outage. They had several stations flooded. The blown transformer is part of munis infrastructure. It cant belong to pg e. The spokesman also telling me that the fix put in place early on this morning by the crews is a permanent one, not a temporary solution. All of the subway trains up and running. The unidentified woman was rushed to the hospital with lifethreatening injuries. It is 7 05. Well had some time to dry out and clean up. Another round of rain is moving in. Today, county supervisors will meet about possibly closing four fire stations. The stations scheduled for closure are in walnut creek, clayton, martinez and la fayette. The closure list comes about a month after voters in the contra costa Fire District rejected measure q, that temporary sevenyear complex would have paid for those four fire stations. The berkeley fire station sent out warning letters to more than 900 ambulance patients saying a tax fraud ring may have had access to some of their personal information. A former employee that handles berkeleys billing accessed client informs reportedly to give it to a tax fraud ring. The information may include names, Social Security numbers and birth dates. 13 people have been arrested so far for their involvement in that ring. 7 07. The good news, muni is back in service. California governor jerry brown is not among the group. 7 15. The owner of the Drakes Bay Oyster Company is plotting a legal response to the federal decision to shut down his operation. He said he will not give up. The operating permit expired last month at the national seashore. The company was told it will have to leave within 90 days and that area will return to wilderness. Oaklands largest pot club gets a key victory in court. A judge ruled that Harborside Medical Center cannot be ejected and they cannot kick them out because it is not breaking state law.
