A sun cloud mix will gradually strip away the clouds and temperatures today will be warmer than yesterday. Coming up take a closer look at the forecast highs for this afternoon and ill let you know when 70s return to our local forecast. We begin this morning with developing news in the south bay. Firefighters say an arsonist may have struck again this morning. Ktvus allie rasmus live for us this morning in san jose where two more suspicious fires are now under investigation. Allie. Reporter one of these suspicious fires is at the greater st. John Baptist Church in san jose on san antonio street and this is the building that burned. Firefighters got the call about this around 4 00 this morning and you can see its an exterior building, a portable trailer, looks like, and when we got some video earlier of firefighters clearing things out, it appears there were some books and other items store in this exterior building behind the church. This is the second time this serial arsonist started a fire at this location. The first time he struck here was on wednesday. In fact, the same building burned. Fire investigators are also investigating at 2 00 this morning someone tried to start a fire next to a home on 24th and san antonio but that fire went out and didnt burn anything. So theres two suspicious fires investigators are checking out this morning. Investigators say these two fires are definitely suspicious. They believe they are the work of this serial arsonist that has struck several times in the downtown san jose area since wednesday. Yesterday investigators released this sketch of a person of interest in the case and its based on witness statements and Surveillance Video that show a man walking near the scene of several fires minutes before those fires started. And some of the video obtained by ktvu, you can see a man wearing dark rimmed glasses and baggy clothes. Again, thats the person of interest that fire investigators and San Jose Police want to talk to in connection with all of these fires that have been happening since wednesday. 10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of this serial arsonist. You can see whats left of the interior of this external portable building that was set on fire again at 4 00 this morning. Businesses are offering food and drink deals and are hoping their big screen tvs bring in those fans. Hundreds of 49 fans expected to watch the game at the soma food park in San Francisco. Food trucks have a lot of options including a bacon breakfast and mimosas to wash it all day. Several large screen tvs so everyone can watch the game. Kickoff set for 10 00 and immediately after the game, sports director mark ibanez will have analyst on the highlights after. Investigating a shooting involving an offduty female police officer. The person shot and grazed a person after a fight following a minor car accident around midnight. The two vehicles involved pulled over near gerald avenue and bayshore boulevard. Police say the person who was shot suffered minor injuries. The officer put on paid administrative leave during the investigation. Today fire investigators in palo alto will start to look into the cause of a deadly house fire. Two People Killed friday night in a home on embark d. A. R. E. Road embarcadero road. A man in his 50s lived in the home with a caregiver. They say he was a vietnam veteran who had lived there for many years. He took care of it. He was very quiet, but we just didnt really see him but he also didnt cause any problems either. Neighbors took a picture of the fire blowing through a kitchen window you see there on your screen. Investigators say they believe that the fire may have started there in the kitchen. Well, demand for the flu shot is growing. Yesterday Marin Community clinic in san rafael overcrowded with people wanting to get the shot for the h1n1. In the past parents would usually opt out of the vaccination but this flu season things have changed. So the clinic now opened its doors to adults. They were first, you know, more concerned about their children so they were making sure they were but werent doing it themselves. Now they are seeing it is affecting that age, they are getting it themselves. More than 100 people vaccinated yesterday at the clinic which is a huge increase over last weeks total of 16. Doctors continue to encourage anyone who has not gotten the shot to go ahead and get vaccinated. So far in the bay area 11 people have died from the flu. Tomorrow will be warmer and then the extended a dry weather pattern and temperatures could be right around the 70degree mark, even a few low 70s out there. Waves have been picking up basically over the past 12 hours or so. Waves around 10 to 15 feet and strong rip currents out there. Be extra careful right near the immediate shoreline. This is the setup on the satellite, high clouds over us right now but not for long as we head into the afternoon hours, those clouds begin to move to the south, High Pressure rebuilds, no rain threat in our forecast. In fact, temperatures by tuesday will be approaching the lower 70s so we begin a warming trend today but it really kicks in for monday, tuesday, wednesday, we could have record breaking highs, not too hard to beat this time of year and the dry weather pattern is here to stay. Also we have this, an increase in the winds picking up later on today out of the north, so could be locally gusty winds for the higher terrain of the north bay and also out towards the east bay winds gusting around 30 to 35 miles an hour. San francisco voters may get to decide whether a new arena for the warriors can be built on the citys waterfront. According to the San Francisco chronicle, people against the plan have been Gathering Signatures for about for a ballot measure that could block development. It would require voters to approve any Waterfront Development that exceeds height limits. Two dry years depleted many reservoirs and streams and rivers are running low. Letters to the governor asking for action. Governor brown appointed a committee to review conditions. His Administration Says he is considering that formal declaration. Now been four days without tap water for about 300,000 people in West Virginia. A chemical leak at a coal plant north of charleston made that water toxic. Health Officials Say even boiling it is not enough to make it safe to drink. So people are using bottled water to do everything from brushing their teeth to washing dishes. This is actually the third place ive been to trying to get water so ive resorted to ice. Over the weekend fema distributed millions of liters of water. The problem discovered on thursday after people reported their water smelled like black licorice. The state says it is working to fix the problem but does not know how long it will take. Neimanmarcus is sending in letters to customers they say they believe were affected by a security breach. The Dallas Based Company confirmed the breach saying thieves stole credit and debit card data over the weekend. It appears to have affected customers who shopped in stores and not online. A Southern California lawmaker wants to provide Affordable HealthCare Insurance to undocumented immigrants. California is offering a new way to check cosmetics for harmful chemicals. State Health Officials launched a website that has information on 30,000 products. Residents of haze valley say more homeless have been setting up tents in parks and near businesses. A number of homeless were recently moved out of the mid market corridor as part of mayor ed lees plan to revitalize that area. Access to a newly renovated boarding area and the renovation debut on january 28th in terminal three. The nearly 69,000 square foot location will offer 10 gates to accommodate 50 daily departures. The boarding area will feature an entertainment area, multiple Dining Options, 375 power outlets, a playroom for children, even a yoga room. The airline is also making other changes in the terminal that will debut in the summer of 2015.
