Were getting a break, were mostly cloudy and breezy out there. Antioch picking up light rain here. And across the American Canyon, getting into napa and san raphael we have light rain over your area and the wrap around moisture continues at this hour. This system continues to move south and east, it will take the rain with it. Ill have a timeline for your saturday tell had you how much rainy expect well get and when it will finally come to an end coming up. Multiple fire crews on to the scene of a building fire in oakland. A report came into our newsroom about a hour ago. Theyve been gathering the information and joins, now, with what youve learned. The fire is out, firefighters arson investigators and Oakland Police are still at the scene. Lets show you whats in the newsroom. This is a fire that happened near 34th avenue in the fruitville district of oakland. Its not clear whether the fire happened at a home or business. The fire broke out at 5 00 this morning. Weve confirmed that Oakland Police have a crime scene Investigative Unit on the scene. Someone may have died in this fire. Theyre investigating reports of a possible victim they tell us. There are reports from firefighters that a body was found in this burned building. Theyve been called in to check this out. This story is developing and were Work Together to have more information few. A fire in the district and firefighters on the scene. This fire may have been fatal. Well have an update in 30 minutes. Also new this morning an oakland family had a wakeup call when a driver lost control and plowed into their home. The driver hit several parked cars before slamming into the garage on coolidge avenue. Everyone was asleep and they thought there had been an earthquake. I was asleep at the time. I heard the bang and felt the bang thats what woke me up. I kind of remember hearing something waking me up before that and then i woke up and i thought it was an earthquake at first, but, obviously, not. No one was hurt. The driver did sever a gas line in the crash causing a gas leak at the time. Fg and e turned off the gas. A man was injured inside of a restaurant from a shooting. It is mexican and filipino quicken seen cuisine in the restaurant. The victims name and condition has not been released. There were no customers at the time of that shooting. Drugs and alcohol may have played the role in a deadly crash. That happened at 8 00 last night on commerce boulevard. 23yearold Raphael Gonzalez was driving when he lost control and he hit a tree killing the passenger. He ran and hid after the crash but was later arrested on suspicion of du i and arrested for knell any hit and run. Weve had one two inches in the bay cities and up to five inches in the hills. You can expect flooding, small stream flooding in all these areas. Boulder creek, weve got all this included in there. We head to the north and west a little bit. It stretches along highway 226 and all these areas again to consider for the next 20 minutes or so. Rainfall rates in excess of a halfinch per hour. They issued a watch this morning for santa clara and santa rosa counties. Some of this was caused by the theft of copper water. Caltran said thieves broke into a pump house and ripped out the copper wire and that disabled the pumping equipment that directs floodwater. They had to bring in a mobile pump. These are pictures of the funnel cloud that was spotted before 6 30 last night. A trained weather spotter said it crossed interstate 5, it was a few hundred feet off the ground. The natural reaction is you want to save what you have, you want to stop the mud coming in. We have folks getting outside and theyre working in dangerous conditions and in very precarious areas to try to stop this flow of mud. Developing news right now out of oakland where weve confirmed a scene of a fire, its the site of a Homicide Investigation. Reporter i spoke with the batallion chief who responded to this fire, he confirms that a body was found at the scene. Arson investigators and police are at that location and theyre investigating this as a homicide. They got the call about this fire at 5 00 this morning. It happened near 34th avenue and foot hill boulevard. Initial reports were uncheer as to will this fire broke out and an of at a home or business. We learned that this fire happened at an alley way between two residential apartment buildings. The buildings were not damaged and no one was displaced firefighters discovered a burned body and it became clear to them that this fire was suspicious. Oakland crime scene investigators are at the scene. Were told the Alameda County coroner is on its way to the scene. Were expecting to get an update from police. Live in the newsroom, ktvu news. Dozens of juveniles are unpray basion. A team of officers check on those teens at the school and their homes. We went with them to see what it means to keep those kids in compliance. 1049 high school for compliance. More than a dozen officers went out on this rainy day with one person, to check in on teens who are in trouble with the laws. Were here to snake sure the students dont reoffend. The juveniles on the list are on probation. These compliance checks happen at random every month. This he go to high schools to make sure the kids are in class. Just letting you know were doing compliance checks for a couple of probationers. If the number of officers surprises you some of these kids are in trouble for serious crimes, include violent crime. Gun possession, pet i think think theft. So, after theyre taken out of class, they are searched first before juvenile officers check their attendance records and lockers. They dont just check them from school, they are cuffed and officers put them in the back of police cars and bring them home to make sure theyre in compliance checks. This is compliance checks. Police say they want to check the homes and they are thorough, probation officers check the bathroom and bags even under mattresses. If they have gang paraphernalia, drugs or weapons at a home that would be a violation of probation. They touch base with parents. Police say theyve found drugs and weapons, everyone they found was in compliance, but they didnt find everyone. Hes not at home and he hasnt been returning our phone calls. It means its likely aish warrant will be you issued for them. Hell be back on their list. Time now is 7 39, were hearing the 911 call after a 12 yearold boy in danville accidentally shot himself. Both of the boys parents were Oakland Police officers that were off duty during the shooting, the boy has been released from the hospital. Theyve not confirmed where or how he got that gun. Its been forwarded to the District Attorneys office for review. There is a man wanted for crimes, these signs are going up in california and seven other states. Investigators learned that two men went to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Four men have been arrested with thursdays shooting in Castro Valley. Yesterday Alameda County sheriffs deputies found a suspicious car and they called the chp that made the arrest. The shooting left bullet holes through the door and one went through a sliding glass door of a home. No one was hurt in the shooting and police have not released a motive. All these communities in between, we have soggy roadways across the central bay but mainly dry, San Francisco oakland along the peninsula, you can see areas like Half Moon Bay and slipping into wood side mainly dry over the east bay, if we get into areas around concord where we were dry in the last hour or so, were beginning to see a few light showers, off parts of the north bay, the far inland east bay. Oakley reporting light rain as well. We have picked up two feet of fresh snow and the continues to fall. All of that is information that the Alameda County coroner will have to determine. The coroner is on the way to the scene right now. They got the call for the fire at 5 this morning. A woman nearby called to report it. None of the buildings nearby were damaged. This was between two apartment buildings in an alley way. A body was found at the scene of this fire and the fire is determined to be suspicious. Arson investigators and the homicide unit of the Oakland Police are investigating. Some of the things that investigators for going to be looking for are signs of accelerant was used, anything to indicate that the fire was not accidental. Well continue to have more information and have another update in another half an hour. San Francisco Police are investigating a stabbing that happened at 1 30 a. M. , near post and polk, the victim is in the hospital. We are not clear what led up to the stabbing. A person was shot and injured inside a victim. It happened at 1 00 this morning. It happened in a mexican cuisine on beach street. The person walked into a restaurant and shot the victim and ran out. There were no other customers inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting. There was quite a wake up call for this family when a driver mud into their home having lost control of his car. Everyone was asleep and initially they thought there had been an earthquake. I heard the bang and felt the bang and i remember i heard something that was waking me up before that. I thought it was an earthquake at first, but, obviously, not. We are hearing the 911 call made after a 12yearold boy in danville accidentally shot himself. That was the dispatch call, beau of the parents were off duty at the time of the shooting, it appears the boy was playing with a gun when he shot himself in the arm. He has since been released from the hospital. Police have not confirmed where or how he got that gun. But, the case has been forwarded to the contra cost at thats Attorneys Office for review. We have folks getting outside and working in dangerous conditions and in very precarious areas to try to stop this flow of mud. Mandatory evacuations have been ordered in these areas because of the mudslides. The red carpet has been wrapped in plastic. That forced the closure of westbound 580 for an hour during the evening commute. The Alameda County sheriff spotted a suspicious car parked in front of the home. We are watching just the wrap around bands. This is why if you think about it, the storm moving south, this is why southern portions of the bay area still seeing that light to moderate rain this morning, while most of us are just with hit or miss showers and the central bay has been mainly dry for most of it. Weve got santa cruz still with light showers reported, so you can expect this for scott valley, light rain falling over your area. Its going to be a wet one, getting over 17 this morning. Santa clara, san jose, fremont, milpitas, perhaps a few scattered showers in and out of your neighborhood. If we slide a little bit north and east, weve got light rain falling. Looks like American Canyon, along i80 from vallejo, fairfield, martinez, and this stretch here along and into the east into the central valley, i should say, light scattered showers. Maybe more before its said and done. Ill time it out for you, coming up. New this morning, investigation into a suspicious fire in oakland. We have now confirmed a burned body was found. Ktvus allie rasmus has been working the story all morning long. She joins us now with more. Reporter shortly after responding to the fire, firefighters discovered a burned body between an alleyway and two buildings. Homicide detectives have been at the scene since the fatal fire started at 5 00 this morning. This fire happened near 34th avenue and foot hill boulevard in oaklands fruitvale district. Police say its too early to tell whether the victim was a man or woman. They dont have any information on the possible age. All of that is information the Alameda County coroner will have to determine. Firefighters got the call about the fire this morning, after a resident nearby noticed the flames and called to report it. None of the buildings near where the fire happened were damaged. This happened in an alleyway between two buildings, so no one is displaced. None of the residents are affected. Again, a body was found at the scene of the fire. The fire is determined to be suspicious. Arson investigators and Oakland Police are at the scene investigating it as a homicide. Now, some of the things investigators will be looking for are signs of any accelerant used in the fire or any clue basically that confirms their suspicion the fire was not accidental. An oakland family had quite a wakeup call when a driver lost control and plowed right into their home. Police say the driver hit several parked cars before slamming into the garage of a house on coolidge avenue. Everyone in the house was asleep and initially thought there had been an earthquake. I was asleep at the time. I heard, i heard the bang and felt the bang. Thats what woke me up. I kind of remember hearing something that was waking me up before that. Then i woke up and thought it was an earthquake at first, but obviously not. No one was hurt in the incident, although a driver did sever a gas line in the crash, causing a gas leak for a short time. Pg e has since turned off the gas there. San rafael police are searching for the person who shot and injured a man inside a restaurant. It happened just after 1 00 this morning at paws mexican cuisine. Police say a man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt walked into the restaurant, shot the victim, then ran out. The victims anymore and condition have not been released. Police say there were no other restaurants inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting. Police say drugs and alcohol may have played a role in a deadly crash that happened about 8 00 last night on commerce boulevard. Police say 23yearold Raphael Gonzalez was driving when he lost control, hit a tree, killing his passenger. Police say gonzalez ran and hid after the crash, but was later arrested on suspicion of dui, vehicular manslaughter, and felony hit and run. As rosemary mentioned, there are a few scattered showers this morning, but we are now drying out for the most part. The last few days have brought about one to two inches to cities and around the bay area, and up to five inches for folks in the hills. There were reports of flooding on freeways and trees down, thunder and lightning reported. Rosemary says the rain will last for the next couple of hours and should start tapering off by midafternoon. 146 pg e customers are waking up without power this morning, due to the storm. 34 homes and businesses are without power in San Francisco. 33 customers lost power in the south bay 5,4 in the east bay, 24 in the north bay and one customer in the peninsula. If youre flying out of sfo today, probably a good idea to check the status of your flight before heading off to the airport. 45 flights have already been canceled. Many of the cancellations are for flights headed down to Southern California. 167 flights were canceled yesterday. The National Weather service is warning beachgoers they need to keep a safe distance from the waves today. A High Surf Advisory is in effect until 3 00 p. M. That means there are dangerous conditions out there, with sneaker waves and rip tides. The High Surf Advisory extends from San Francisco all the way to big sur. We do have a breeze out there this morning, but as mike mentioned, the showers are beginning to wind down and we will continue to watch those move through. The new Development Comes after gunmen took control of key airports in crimea, a key region of the ukraine. The Prime Minister of crimea has also reclaimed control of the military and police. New questions about security at sfo, after a woman attempts to fly to hawaii three times without a ticket. Amber lee has more on how she managed to get past security and in one case made it on the plane. Reporter a trip to hawaii is appealing, and no more so than to Marilyn Hartman of San Francisco. She tried three times to fly to hawaii without a ticket. Shes a woman in her sixties. One doesnt normally think about that as being the terrorist. Reporter the 62yearold retired legal secretary snuck pasta Security Check point and boarded a flight to hawaii. Sat down in a seat, pretty full flight. As the person who really had the ticket for the flight came by and said excuse me, maam, youre in my seat. Reporter flight attendants removed her from the seat and called police. They let her go. She used the message known as piggy backing. While others are having their identification checked at the security gate, she would have, as they started to go through, screened herself behind them. Reporter that happened on february 15th. Three days later on february 18th, hartman tried a second time, but only got to the security gate before she was stopped. Again, Police Released her. On february 20th, hartman was caught with another passengers discarded boarding pass. This time, she was arrested. Its pretty scary. I cant imagine how it can happen. Reporter tsa would only release a statement saying, in part, following a review, tsa made minor modifications to the layout of the document checking area to prevent another incident like this one. Authorities say what happened with hartman is an aberration and that passengers should not be concerned about their safety. She told us that she has cancer and is dying and she just wanted to go to a warm place to finish life. Well, that was amber lee reporting. The District Attorney could not confirm if hartman does in fact have cancer. She has pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor counts of commercial burglary and served eight days in jail before being release order thursday. She has been sentenced to 18 months probation and has been ordered to stay away from sfo unless she has a ticket to fly. Well, the nations Regional Airlines are having trouble hiring enough pilots. The new report from the Government Accountability office suggests that low pay may be part of the problem. The report says there is a pool of qualified candidates available, but they may be working abroad, in the military, or in another occupation. It also says that airlines will need to hire between 1900 and 4500 pilots per year over the next decade because of the retirements. One of the more recognizable candidates in oakland mayors race will officially kickoff her campaign today. Councilwoman libby schaaf will announce her run this morning at the penn rose restaurant. She has made crime prevention, job growth and Government Accountability as some of her top priorities. It is a crowded field for oakland mayor. Theres the incumbent, mayor jean quan, with schaaf, courtney ruby, port commissioner brian parker, College Professor joe tuman, and civil rights attorney dan siegel. After months of speculation, governor jerry brown has made it official he has filed for re election. He submitted the paperwork at the Alameda County Registrars Office in oakland yesterday. Brown currently enjoys a 60 job Approval Rating among voters. After pulling the state out of a financial hole, he says his work is not done. Theres always races around. Ive been able to find a number of them. I certainly enjoyed being mayor of oakland. That was a wonderful opportunity. Brown is running for an unprecedented fourth term as governor. He served his first two terms in the 70s and 80s. Five of the six current andrea former San Francisco Police Officers facing charges have pleaded not guilty. The sixth is waiting for a new attorney before entering a plea. Three are accused of taking money, drugs and property seized during investigations. The others are accused of violating the civil rights of suspects through warrantless searches. The charges stem from raids on singleoccupancy hotels in the tenderloin neighborhood between 2009 and 2011. Several raids were captured on video. Yesterday, the president of the Police Officers association defended the officers. All hardworking officers, dedicated to this department, dedicated to the citizens of this city. We begin with breaking news out of china. As many as 27 people have been killed and more than a hundred others injured in an attack at a train station. A news agency in china is reporting a group of men with knives started attacking people inside the station. According to reports, several of the attackers were shot by police. There is no word on the identity of the attackers or a motive. To news in the bay area, crews are investigating the discovery of a burned body. The victim was found in between two buildings. We are hearing the dispatch recordings made after a 12year old boy in danville accidentally shot himself. Accidentally shot himself in the arm. Offduty officer, has secured the gun. 12 years of age, accidental shooting. He is awake and breathing. Both of the parents are off duty Police Officers. The boy was playing with the gun when he accidentally shot himself in the arm. The boy has since been released from the hospital. Police have not said where or how he got the gun and the case has been forwarded to the contra costa District Attorneys office for review. The fbi is making a new push to capture one of its 10 most wanted terror suspects. Hes a man wanted for crimes here in the bay area. Billboards featuring danielle san diego are going up in california and in seven possibl outside of the country. He is suspected of two bombings in 2003 at the shackly Corporation Offices in pleasanton and the former Chiron Corporation in emeryville. The fbi is offering a 250,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and prosecution. Cal trans says one flooding problem in san jose was actually caused by the theft of copper wire. Part of highway 87 near west Taylor Street flooded yesterday morning. Cal trans says thieves broke into a pump house and ripped out the copper wire. That disabled the pumping equipment that draws off flood water. A backup pump was also knocked out, so crews had to bring in a mobile pump. South bay reservoirs are also feeling the effects of the rain, at least a little bit. Santa clara valley water Officials Say the rain did help, but they are not planning on changing the mandatory 20 water restrictions for customers. Reservoir capacity has gone up 1 since monday. We need to see many, many more storms of this magnitude. The great thing about this storm is that its spread out over time. Were seeing a series of storms. So it allows the ground to capture and absorb the water thats coming and reduces our risk of flooding. The heavy rain did clog storm drains and did cause some flooding on south bay roads. The National Weather Service Briefly issued a Flash Flood Watch yesterday morning for santa clara and san mateo counties. That has since expired. Well, a Tornado Warning was issued last night for parts of sacramento, yolo, and sutter counties. We want to show you a picture of funnel clouds, or one funnel cloud spotted near woodland just before 6 30 last night. According to a trained weather spotter, the cloud was about 800 feet off the ground and actually crossed interstate 5. The Tornado Warning expired just after 7 00 last night. The Los Angeles Area saw hail and severe thunderstorms overnight. The National Weather service even issued a Tornado Warning for the area that was burned by the colby fire in january. That area is now seeing some mudslides. The natural reaction is you want to save what you have, try to stop the mud from coming in. So we have some folks that are getting outside and working in very, very dangerous conditions and in very precarious areas to try to stop these, this flow of mud. Mandatory evacuations have been ordered due to the slide. The red carpet on hollywood boulevard has been wrapped in plastic, a clear plastic tent in preparations for the oscars tomorrow. The rain is expected to stop in time for tomorrows oscar arrivals. Giving you a look at partly sunny skies, we will continue to see those clouds clear out and well be left with partly to mostly cloudy skies as showers continue to wind down. Weve got antioch, brentwood with a few light scattered showers here. Along highway 4, youll find light rain. Fairfield, i80, this has been an area where weve seen light rain continue to fall around the American Canyon, napa reported rain on and off throughout the entire morning. If i step out of the way, crossing over into sonoma, a few light scattered showers still in your neighborhood as well. If we slide into the santa cruz area, this is where we even had an advisory earlier this morning for possible flooding. We are seeing a little bit in some areas. So this to consider. Los gatos, light rain crossing into campbell. You may have a few light scattered showers in your neighborhood. San jose, dry at the moment. Scattered showers still in the forecast through the morning hours. Right off the coast of Half Moon Bay, light showers reported here. Into the sierra, snow still falling, primarily right around 6000 feet. Looks like the rain snow mix above blue canyon, so between 5500, 6000 feet with a few inches of snow expected by tonight. So thats good news there. They have already picked up two feet or so. Weve picked up quite a bit of rain. Ill show you that in a moment. Health Officials Say the two new cases are family members en neither relative was vaccinated against measles. Earlier this month, bart riders were warned of possible exposure after officials learned the student with the disease used the transit system. Officials say the student may have contracted the virus on a trip to the philippines. Meantime, doctors say californias flu season is not over yet, but it appears to be slowing down. There were 24 more flurelated deaths this week. That brings the total number to 302 statewide. Doctors say the number of new cases is tapering off. Sebastopol police made an unusual discovery during a traffic stop. A car filled with cans of so called laughing gas. Take a look. Police say they found dozens of small nitrous oxide canisters covering the seats and floors of a car they recently stopped. Two brothers, ages 23 and 26, were arrested. Those canisters are used to refill whipped cream cans, but Police Say People also use them to get high. Police say those cans are sold at a nearby gas station. The retailer is simply selling what they can defend as being a legitimate product. The problem is that the people who are going in to buy them arent using for a legitimate use. Police say the two brothers are facing misdemeanor possession charges and may have to pay fines. Tomorrows the deadline for students to apply for federal Financial Aid and cal grant. Last year, the California Student Aid Commission granted 265,000 Financial Aid packages to High School Students who qualified for a cal grant. A Commission Leader is encouraging everyone who thinks they may qualify to apply. Theres been great sticker shock among working class families and the price is something that they see at face value and dont really understand how much aid is available to that particular student if they qualify. This year, the state of california has 1. 6 billion to offer in Financial Aid to College Students. Government guidelines for School Lunches could be causing some children to go hungry. A new watch dog report says schools are having trouble implementing new federal standards for healthy food. Some schools report children are still hungry after lunch and they blame smaller portions and students throwing away things like fruit and vegetables, which are mandated by the government. One Health Expert says schools need to involve students in taste tests. They lay out a variety of the healthier choices and have the kids try it out and see which the kids prefer. More than 1 Million Students left the National School Lunch Program last year, but advocacy groups say it takes time to make changes and to get children used to eating healthier food. Homicide investigation is under way at the scene of a fire in oakland. Firefighters say they found a badly burned body in an alleyway on 34th avenue in the fruitvale neighborhood. If youre headed up to the sierra today, bring the chains. Almost two feet of snow has fallen in the mountains. At good news for the states water resources. The snow pack is up, but still low at 33 of normal. The rain is not expected to do much to ease drought restrictions. Mandatory water restrictions will take effect in the city of calistoga today. Homeowners will only be allowed to water yards early in the morning, on designated days. Two men are under arrest, accused of running an elaborate marijuana operation in milpitas. Police found more than 1000 plants with a street value of 2. 2 million. S. W. A. T. Officers also seized grow lights and ventilation equipment in three separate homes. Police also released the photo of the money they found, 15,000 in cash. Officers arrested these two men. They have been booked into the Santa Clara County jail on charges including cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale. The chp is asking people to come forward who witnessed a running gun battle on an east bay highway. It happened yesterday afternoon on westbound highway 4 near willow pass road in the bay point area. Highway patrol says gunmen in two cars shot at each other, with one of the vehicles swerving and then hitting a third car. The two vehicles kept going after that crash. Investigators later learned that two men went to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Four men have been arrested in wex with thursdays shooting on interstate 580 in Castro Valley. The shooting forced the closure of westbound 580 for almost an hour during the evening commute. Yesterday, Alameda County Sheriff Deputies spotted a suspicious car parked in front of a Castro Valley home so they called the chp, who made those arrests. That shooting left bullet holes in one mans car and one bullet actually went through the sliding glass door of a nearby home. Its a little crazy that it was at random, especially all the way from the freeway. Seems like when people pull guns on someone, its usually a pissed off thing, but these guys are laughing like they have done it before. Police found three weapons during the arrest. Two of them were stolen. No one was hurt in that shooting and police havent released a motive. In this mornings weekly address, president obama says investing in technology and infrastructure is going to spur job growth. I launched a new competition to build 21st century infrastructure, roads and bridges, mass transit, more efficient ports, and faster Passenger Rail. The president says these infrastructure jobs attract businesses and cannot be shipped overseas. He plans to launch two new high tech manufacturing hubs, where companies and universities can partner on projects. Well, supporters of raising the minimum wage in oakland will hit the streets today to try to make their case. They will be collecting signatures in hopes of putting that initiative on the november ballot. They want to raise the citys 8 minimum wage to 12. 25 and they need 35,000 signatures to qualify. A car dealership in north dakota is hoping to drum up business with a oneofakind sale. A dealership in fargo says shoppers who buy a new or used truck will also go home with a free shotgun. The owner says he is looking for a way to create demand for its inventory and says a lot of people in that area like to go hunting. We want to buy a pickup and were going to wait until we can get a free gun with it. Goes hand in hand. Most people dont go hunting in a car. The sale starts this weekend and is expected to last two weeks. The dealership hopes to appeal to the rugged side of customers and says people can drive away feeling like a whole new person. More fallout against the boy scouts over its stance on gays. The Disney Corporation says it is cutting off money to scouts from an employee volunteer fund. Last year, the boy scouts voted to allow gay members to join, but still forbid anyone that is gay from serving as scout leaders. Disney says thats against its fairness policy and it will no longer allow funds raised by employees to be ear marked for scouting. Its unclear exactly how much money is involved in the decision. Family members say they are still making funeral arrangements for a man known to so many simply as the buschmann of San Francisco. It will be private, although the bushman led a very public life. We first aired our story this week about his passing. Since then we have had an unbelievable response from people who all remember being scared by gregory jacobs. [ growling ] reporter for 36 years, David Johnson has spent his days doing this. Hiding behind a bunch of bushes and scaring people along fishermans wharf. He will tell you he is known as the one and only bushman. [ growling ] [ laughter ] i heard about him reporter but he will also tell you there was another. Another man who called himself just bushman. That man was gregory jacobs. He set up shop down the road, and for decades, also made a living the same way. The two had it out a while back. After that first fight, we got along. When was that fight . Huh . That was, oh, that was about 10 years ago. Reporter but when you Work Together for decades, 10 years passes quickly. Johnson didnt know jacobs had passed away. He knew he had been sick, but jacobs family says that really stopped him. Every time he would go to the hospital, he would come straight out of the hospital with Hospital Band on his arm and would go sit down there and continue scaring people as if nothing was wrong. Reporter his cousin says sunday night his heart finally gave out. Jacobs was a father and a brother. His family sent us these pictures, showing a side of jacobs most of us never knew. The man behind the bushman persona. But his family also says for jacobs, this was home and the tourist part of his family. Maybe no one understands that better than David Johnson. The people, the atmosphere, you know, its a feeling you get here, just being here, just seeing other people laughing. Do you think thats what he felt, too . Yeah, once you get into it, its a lovely feeling. Jacobs was 60 years old. Just a passion for the city by the bay, but he wasnt from the San Francisco area or even california. No, he was actually from arkansas. That is where his family wants to bring him back for his burial. They are still working on that. Great piece. Sad. Thank you, claudine. A surprise from the sky. The School District says its not unusual for teachers to add supplemental assignments, but now they are being asked to review those materials more carefully.
