Now to the investigation into the paris attacks, a landlord is appearing before an antiterrorism judge. The suspect who was once convicted of killing is accused of providing a hideout for militants who pulled off the attacks. The landlord is expected to become the first person in france to potentially faced faces terrorism charges linked to that attack. Investigators are working to confirm whether an object found in a garbage can in a paris suburb is in fact a suicide vest like the ones worn by the jihadists in the attack. Several agencies report the object contained explosives and bolts but no detonator. If it is a suicide vest, investigators will try to determine if it belonged to a to a terror suspect who remains on the run. A cyclist is recovering this morning after being hit by a driver who was running from police. Police say they tried to pull a car over last night but the driver sped off and hit the cyclist at prince street and Martin Luther king way. The driver kept going after hitting the cyclist before stopping a few blocks away. Two women were arrested. The cyclist was taken to the hospital with leg and stomach injuries. A setback to a new state law that requires utilities to come up with plans to protect power plants from terror attacks. Back in april of 2013, someone attacked a pg e substation near san jose shooting out 17 transformers. That prompted new legislation ordering utilities to come up with improved security plans for power plants.
