There will be others im sure. But the lows are cold. But yesterday was about 1 to 2 degrees colder. There seems to be a little more moisture in the air which could lead to fog. A lot of 30s. Black hawk in the east bay, danville, alamo, and lafayette, there are fox Sports Southwest advisories out for the north bay. But im sure there will be many areas with rooftop frost from north to south. We had plenty of those yesterday. The system to the north is falling apart. Theres enough of a breeze as well along with the moisture. Its not much. But thats enough to keep temps up a tiny bit. Thats producing a lot. The fog will be on the move here pretty soon. Our system for saturday, taking shape up in the pacific northwest. The gulf of alaska. It looks good for late saturday into sunday. A little breeze in the hills but 60s. A few upper 60s possible today. How are you . Im okay. People who use vas co road, its a bear of a commute. You know it, steve. So right now the traffic lights arent working at the corner of Camino Diablo and vas co. It might mean a slower commute. If you take that road, give yourself extra time or go another way. Because the traffic lights arent working properly. Lets look at pictures here. The traffic is okay as you drive into the toll plaza area. No major problems. If youre driving on interstate 880. That traffic is looking good. And across the bay, the bay shore freeway looks good between South San Francisco and the city. Everythings off to a good start there. 580 through the Livermore Valley is okay. We mentioned the problem on Camino Diablo at vas co road. The Traffic Signals arent working and it could make for a tougher commute. 5 03. Back to the desk. San Francisco Police want to know why a gunman aimed and fired at a crowded hospital. The gunman went to a construction site next to Saint Lukes Hospital yesterday afternoon and climbed on top of a freight elevator. Now, this is a new photo we now have of the suspect. As you look closely, you can see him dressed in the white over alls there. He had two weapons. Including a rifle he had stolen from a big 5 Sporting Good store in san bruno earlier in the day. When San FranciscoPolice Arrived at the scene, they heard every several shots causing bystanders to run for their lives. All i heard was gunshots and we started running. What did you see . We were looking at a sniper on the top. When the explosions when off there was like a flash. Police say the gunman first aimed the rifle at the hospital but then pointed the rifle at them. Thats when three officers opened fire and killed the man. Investigators are still trying to determine a motive. And if he had any ties to the hospital. Police have not released his name. No one else was hurt. But reporter allie will have a live report coming up. A man is in the hospital this morning after leading police on a chase in the east bay and ramming his car into nine other cars. This happened yesterday morning in richmond. Investigators say 28yearold Saul Espinosa sped away from a Police Traffic stop and crash into a row of cars at 29th street and humphrey avenue. San pablo police say they tried to pull over espinosa for a simple Traffic Violation when he took off. They say he was probably doing 80 Miles Per Hour or more on 29th when he first hit a bmw. The driver of that car was not seriously hurt but later police say espinosa smashed into eight more cars causing major damage to many of them. Rudy was nearby when that crash happened. He went over to the car and talked to that driver. I asked him. Everythings going to be okay. The cops are coming. As soon as i mentioned the cops he started just freaking out. You know, he was like oh no. The cops. And he tried to get out. But i kept telling him, dont move. Rescue crews had to use the jaws of life to get espinosa out of the wreckage. Police found a loaded gun and two ounces of meth in his car. And they say he was out on parole for fleeing from police back in 2012 while in possession of a gun and drugs. Easing the housing crunch in Silicon Valley is a huge concern for many people in the area. Ktvus janine joins us from Mountain View where more housing could be on the way. Reporter thats right pam. A lot of housing is going up in Mountain View and sunnyvale near Companies Like google. Right now rents are so sky high. Its the type of rent that only tech workers can afford. Mountain view city coupe sill decided 12 store buildings and thousands of homes in the North Bay Shore area. Right now that area is business parks and fields. Theres been explosive growth at nearby companies such as intuit and linked in. The demand for housing brought prices up. Google owns 55 of the land proposed for rezoning. But theres concern for those on a fixed income not making tech salaries. Theyll hold a rally. Theyre concerned theres not enough Affordable Housing in Santa Clara County. They say rents are increasing so fast people are getting forced from their homes. Theyre going to protest outside a meeting at the county meeting held by a state senator specifically about the lack of Affordable Housing and how theres been deep cuts in funding that meeting starts at 8 30. Some of the signal lights are not working properly at that interchange. And thats huge. People who use vas co road dont need extra slow traffic its slow enough getting down to the 580 interchange. If thats your commute, give yourself plenty of time. 580, we have slow traffic coming in on the Altamont Pass. But livermore and dublin looks okay. Taking a look at live pictures. The san mateo bridge looks good. Heading off to the highrise. For the most part its clear. For the most part i do say. And traffic at the bay bridge toll plaza is moderately heavy.
