The San Francisco chronicle reports two San Francisco Police Officers involved in t controversial shooting death of mario woods have been accused of Excessive Force. Nicholas cuevs and Charles August are one of five Police Officers placed on administrative leave while the wooings shooting is being investigated. According to court records, cuevas was named in a federal civil right bust for shooting two suspects in 2009 who claimed they had their hands up. A civil suit is on hold. They ordered this on amazon. You can clearly see it has been destroyed by fire. Now, this scooter had just finished charging larcenist when one of the girls got on to the scooter and the family says that it started making noises and then it started to spark and before they knew it, this hoverboard was on fire. One of the quickthinking teenagers here at the house, one of the sisters grabbed that hoverboard pulled it off of the carpet area and pulled it over to some tire. They were able to get the fire under control. Another Family Member poured a pot of water on to the fire as well. You can see part of the wall was blackened here at this home. Of course, this has been an ongoing issue with these hover boards. There are reports of at least ten of these scooters catching fire around the country in recent weeks. This family here, of course, is grateful their house didnt burn. Im really glad that my sister was able to drag infrom the carpet all the way towards the front door on the hard tile where nothing would really get on fire really quickly. And basically, she saved our lives. She saved the whole family. If it wasnt for her quick actions, our whole house would probably burn down. And there is enough concern about these hoverboards that yesterday, amazon pulled certain types of them from its website and there are also some major usual airlines that have banned the hightech scooters as well over concerns about fires and really, the question that is causing the fires, and according to most experts in all likelihood, it has to do with the quality of the lithium ion batteries that are being used in some of these products. A deadly shooting involving a Police Officer<\/a>. Ktvu fox 2 janine dewill have a gas joins us from an apartment complex where Police Responded<\/a> to a desperate 911 call from neighbors. Police have been focused on this carport and the apartment behind it. Crime scene investigators are done processing the scene for the nighttime. Right now they are waiting to take some more pictures. Around 7 00 last night, they were called to the complex after getting several 911 calms that a violent struggle was happening there between a man and a woman. Officers say when they approached the complex, they could hear the commotion. As they were walking, they ran into if man in a carport area. Its unclear what he did that was threatening. A confrontation occurred. That is when one officer fired his weapon at the suspect. He fell to the ground and died of his injuries. I dont know what the officer felt or perceived. And for herself that he was in danger. And the woman that had been previously previously assaulted. He felt he was come pet pelled to use his weapon to defend any one of those parties. And were still waiting to hear if the man was armed and if a weapon was recovered or not. We have not told how many times the officer fired his weapon. Now, the woman was not taken to the hospital. Shes being interviewed by police. And the exact relationship between her and his suspect was not known. Police believe they have been romantically involved. And has been with the department for four years. It is going to be on administrative leave. Three teenagers have been arrested after police say they threw a rock through a window of a police s. W. A. T. Team van and a newark Police Officer<\/a> was hurt. This happened friday morning in the area of newark boulevard near brittney after. Police say that rock shattered the passenger window of the s. W. A. T. Team van and hit an officer in the forehead. They say he was bleeding so much his fellow officers, at first, thought he was shot. The injured officer was treated at a local trauma center. He has since been released. The three teenagers were detained. Police say those teenagers admitted they threw the rock and that they are sorry. Happening today, a transient who was accused of killing crafts in the south became is scheduled to enter a plea. Robert farmer faces several counts of animal cruelty. When Police Arrested<\/a> farmer, there was a dead tab by cat next to him in his car. Police also recovered two cat collars and are now trying to locate the animals owners. Time is 5 35. Police release surveillance pictures hoping to find a man accused of groping a woman last month. This man grabbed a woman at a laundromat near arena boulevard near washington avenue on november 13th. The woman threatened to call police, and that man ran away u. Hes described as being latino, about 5 8, in his mid 20s. Police say he drove off in a white honda civic. They say he may be responsible for similar crimes in the east bay. Well, crews are continuing to clean up a mess left by a cargo ship when it lost a dozen shipping containers in rough seas near the Golden Gate Bridge<\/a> over the weekend. At least two of those containers and debris washed up at baker beach in San Francisco<\/a> and pacifica. The ship left oakland headed for seattle on friday night. Strong winds caused the containers to go overboard. The container slid off even though they were strapped down. We had 29mileanhour winds in 19foot seas. And its funny you bring that up, pam. We were just talking about that actually before we came on. And the family tells me that this is not the hoverboard that caught fire last night is not a brand that they recognize. Not a brand name. So that may be one of the issues here. And that is what amazon and others are looking at here is part of the issue. Here is the hoverboard in question sitting right outside of the front door this morning. And you can clearly see the damage that was done. It was destroyed by a fire last night according to the family. And this particular hoverboard. This was an early Christmas Present<\/a> for one of the girls who lives here at this home. They had ordered it on amazon a week ago and last night, suddenly it just caught fire. This all happened just before 1 00 last night. This twowheeled scooter had just finished charging. One of the sisters who lives here at the home got on to it and it started to make noises and spark and before long, they say the board was on fire. Someone grabbed it and then moved it from a carpeted area over to some tile. Another relative poured a pot of water on to the hoverboard to douse the flames. Eventually, the family did contain the fire, but part of the wall inside the home was blackened. And of course, this has been an ongoing issue with hoverboards. There are reports of at least ten of these scooters catching fire around the country in recent weeks. Of course, this family didnt expect it would happen to them. You never think oh, that might happen to us. You hear all over tv and hear different reports and you never think oh, thats going to be my family. I personally was kind of nervous about them.
