It sounds like a big rig was driving on northbound 680. Spilled some concrete off its load. Was seen swerving according to witness reports. Then the big rig caught fire. Northbound 680 near south main. Lets go to the picture here. Ill explain what is going on. The crash is on 680 out here basically just south of our picture. Right just around the corner. The big rig is involved in the northbound direction, and all northbound lanes are blocked. I am going to draw a line where northbound traffic usually is. We usually see headlights here. There is not one door car getting through. I am tracing this whole thing. They are just not getting through. They have stopped all traffic. Southbound 680 looks like a stand still. There are several crashes in the southbound direction as well. This is a huge delay. I want to put up a map of the area. So 680 is now quickly backing up almost all the way to concord and northbound 680 might be backed up to dan have beenville soon. This is a good area to avoid. If you are on highway 4, you normally take 680, you might strongly consider staying on highway 4 and getting on to westbound 80 which is already slow because of an earlier accident in richmonday.
