For a second day, police and fbi agents are searching the home of the couple accused in the San Bernardino mass shooting. They were killed m a gun battle with officers. Witnesses shot as police shot a man suspected in a stabbing earlier in the day. Janine de la vega, youre in San Francisco. You say some of those witnesses disagree with what the police say led up to that shooting . Reporter yes. And a witness recorded that confrontation between five officers and the suspect and then he ended up posting it on instagram. Its been getting a lot of negative feedback, criticism of the police department. The department is aware of it and they are examining it. You just heard the barrage of gunshots fired by police officers. The person recording the video ducks for cover. Police say they had surrounded the man at third and holster in the Bay View District because he matched the description of a suspect who stabbed someone earlier that afternoon. The man was holding a knife and officers ordered him to drop it multiple times so they does he employed a bean bag gun. They used pepper spray which had no effect. Then they used a high he powered bean bag gun which knocks him to the ground, but he didnt drop the knife. Suspect demonstrated by committing a felony aggravated assault that he was a danger to others so he could not be allowed to move away from the scene. Officers fired because the suspect moved toward officers and he was Still Holding the knife, but some are calling the actions excessive. After watching the video, it doesnt appear the officer who fired the fatal shots was m in immediate danger of being killed is what the trib said.
