Passengers who are not hurt were taken to the Alameda County fairgrounds. They met up with family members who were relieved to know family members were okay. We have a lot of slow traffic in the south bay. 280 and 85 are beginning to fill in. Looking at some live pictures you can see traffic on the san mateo bridge looks okay heading out to the highrise. At the bay bridge, traffic is backed up. Had 703 at 7 03, lets get the forecast. We have mostly clear skies, its cold out there. That will lead to some rain in the north bay. They provide homeless with dorm style living taking and 75 people at a time giving them not just a roof over the head, but room for their pets and counseling services. We spoke with a homeless man who has been here for 90 days. He agrees with having more shelters in the city. According to compost, he is also suggesting one of the shelters the allowed to allow alcoholics to keep drinking and allow drug users to keep shooting up. The shelter in the missions does not allow that. The mayors staff is identified 12 different locations where the shelters could be. They have not been disclosed. A powerful storm this weekend called caused flooding and a real mess. Broken tree limbs and debris washed up on the beaches. Storm runoff also sent debris clogging streams and rivers. Those weekend raids rains cause sewers to back up causing massive damage to walls, floors, carpets, and furniture. A contractor did not probably properly close the sewer system. Insurance will not cover the damage. I Insurance Company said the claim was denied. My dad called to see how were going to deal with the situation. The agent said nothing would be covered. They didnt even tell us. We had to call them and find out. Without insurance help, the homeowners may have to get legal help or reimbursement from the city. The company doing the work is called sewer rat. They have not returned our phone calls for comment. A woman was attacked in San Francisco after getting into a mans car by mistake thinking he was her ride. The womans leaving a night club sunday night and got into a car she thought was her ride share. That driver drove a couple of locks before punching the woman in the arms and face. The woman escaped and call police. The driver took off and has not been caught. There have been a surge in the number of people hit and killed by drivers nationwide. The Police Rushed to self third around 6 15 with a report of the stabbing at san jose state. Officer saw the suspect and two victims outside a home. The officer said he fired his gun because the suspect still had a knife. Witnesses heard several shots. We heard five or six shots. Very shocking. Ive never seen anything like this before your. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. The victims are in critical condition. The department of justice is holding another listening session in San Francisco on police conduct. This is in reaction to the Police Killing of mario woods in december. Tonights meeting is at mission high school, the second in a series. Officials are doing a voluntary assessment of policies and procedures. Recommendations will be made on changes. A San Francisco Elementary School went into lockdown after bullet came through a window. Shots were fired near habilitation valley near visitation valley. No one was hurt, the shooting is still under investigation. Chris brown says its not his problem if someone gets shot at one of his concerts. He is responding to a man who was suing chris brown after he was shot a year ago during a concert in san jose. Youre looking at some of the video. A strong increase in clouds and rain setting up in the north. It will start in Mendocino County. How far south it makes it, it looks like petaluma park. Everywhere else should be partly cloudy, mostly sunny. A lot of cloud cover coming across. Colder lows turn cloudy, especially in the north bay. Looks like tomorrow, flow coming out of the north. Cloud cover already screaming in here. That will start to produce rain in Mendocino County and make it into northern sonoma county. Once it stays there for about a day, it a produce heavy rain totals. To the south, hardly even a drop. 30s, 40s, to near 50. 39 lafayette. Alamo, dan ball, all in the 30s. Cloud cover on the way. That has put pressure on 680 southbound. People coming up on this are slowing down. 880 is slow as well. Dunbar and san mateo bridge, a lot of slow traffic. You can see by the time you Reach Mission it looks pretty good heading into san jose. We are also looking at a commute at the bay bridge toll plaza backed up to the maze, very normal. No troubles on the bridge reported. 7 31, lets go back to the desk. Lets go back to developing stories of last nights a Strain Development derailment. Federal investigators from the ntsb are working with local investigators to determine what happened. Just hours ago this morning, a sheriffs spokesman told ktvu alex savidge the a strain hit debris from a mudslide that was on the tracks. There were 214 passengers on the train. Nine people were hurt, four suffered critical injuries. A lot of mud that we had to move away from the track. That is going to take some time. They had to move some heavy equipment and machinery to be able to move the railcars out of the way. It will take several hours. The train was headed from san jose to stockton when it derailed at 7 35 last night. Ace Train Services canceled today. Commuters have to find another way to go around. A terrifying for an frightening ordeal for the hundreds of passengers on that train. Janine de la vega, you are in fremont where some of the injured were taken to hospitals and are recovering this morning. Reporter yes, at least one is left here. A man is recovering at Washington Hospital in fremont. We are told he is in Good Condition. He was one of nine people who were taken to bay area hospitals. Out of those nine, four were seriously hurt. Those injuries are not life threatening. Some of the people injured were in the first train car that fell into the creek some head back and spine injuries,
