I guess that items were so heavy they dropped a flashlight and left it behind. Of course, that will be one of the things police will be focusing on. Maybe their fingerprints on there. Not sure. And im wondering, paul, i am sure the police will tell you what was taken is probably so rare and so valuable, whoever tries to sell it might run into trouble. Its not an iphone you can sell on the street . I. Reporter exactly. These are items dating back to 17th, 18th century. As i said earlier, they are extremely heavy. Thats another thing that you might want to be looking out for. Those are not like an iphone or silverware that people have in their kitchen. All right. We will see you again this morning. If you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably maybe she wasnt allowed to have anything to say. You tell me. Plenty of people have written that. And donald trump is also not happy with the schedule of the upcoming president ial debates. Christian fisher has the latest from washington, d. C. Reporter so were nowlis than a hundred days way from election day, which means from here on out it is all about the battleground states. Right now the latest polls show trump and clinton deadlocked in states like ohio and pennsylvania. Donald trump is kicking up bipartisan backlash on the first full week of the general election campaign. His comments about khzir khan who spoke at the dnc, his wife and their army captain muslim son killed in iraq are being criticized by everyone from the Republican Leaders of the house and senate to Hillary Clinton, who was asked about this controversy repeatedly yesterday on the campaign trail. And then to launch an attack as he did on captain khans mother, a gold star mother, i dont know where the bounds are. I dont know where the bottom is. Reporter as clinton wraps up her twoday bus tour in two key battleground states, ohio and pennsylvania, trump is preparing to hit the same states today. His campaign is planning to meet with the president on president ial debates after trump claimed two of the debates are at the same time as nfl games. Hillary clinton wants to be against the nfl. Like she did with bernie sanders, where they were on saturday nights when nobody is home. Reporter but the bipartisan Debate Commission is pushing back. They claim the schedule has been set since september, and so was the nfl, who trump claimed sent him a letter. Over the weekend a spokesman tweeted out, quote, while we wish the Debate Commission could find another night, we did not send a letter mr. Trump. Something its to watch out for. A possible october surprise from wikileaks. The founder said it will release more documents about clinton sometime between now and november. In washington, kristin fisher, fox news. With the controversy over the date of the two of the debates being at the same time as an nfl game our question of the day is this. Would you watch the nfl game or the president ial debate . Let us know what you think. Post a comment on our ktvu Facebook Page. Wikileaks founder Julian Assange will not reveal how or from whom it received internal Democratic Party emails. The emails indicated that the dnc, which is supposed to be impartial during its own partys primary race, favored Hillary Clinton and possibly undermine bernie sanders. Those nearly 20,000 emails led to the ouster of dnc chair congresswoman Debbie Wasserman schultz. U. S. Officials say the russians were behind the hack attack. Hillary clinton says that would amount to russian interference in our elections. We would not tolerate that from any other country, particularly one with whom we have adversarial positions. And for trump to both encourage that and to praise putin despite what appears to be a deliberate effort to try to affect the election, i think raises National Security issues. Now, Julian Assange responded to Hillary Clintons statement saying, she is trying to undermine our publication, trying to draw attention away from the fact that she confider with Debbie Wasserman schultz to subvert an election in the united states. Time is 7 09. Happening today a big announcement is expected about the future of the track and Field Program at San Jose State University. The sunny side always on the sunny side keep on the sunny side of life keep on the sunny side always on the sunny side keep on the sunny side of life a police chase went through three counties in Southern California has ended peacefully. It started after 4 00 this morning in los angeles and it continued into orange county. You can see the car driving there. A woman behind the wheel got onto the freeway, led police to long beach. This morning hundreds of employees who work for the Santa Clara Court system are protesting and say they are fed up with low pay. This is not a strike. The workers are telling janine de la vega who is there in san jose what they are doing next. Good morning, janine. Reporter good morning, dave. We are hearing that a strike is imminent. Let me show you what it looks like here. We are at hays mansion right now. They are picketing and protesting for the next two hours. Now, they chose this location because there is a judicial conference happening today here, and the chief justice, who is in charge of the court system in the state of california, is here, and they are hoping that they can approach her and intervene and hopefully make some sort of agreement happen so that a strike wont happen. To learn more about this situation, i am joined with tom sago. You are representing the union. Tell me, how could this possibly impact the court system today . They are supposed to be at work in a couple hours. Each person here today that is phoned into their supervisor letting them know they are going to be late today. Today is a precursor. If we are not able to come to an agreement, these folks have authorized a full strike, which would shut down the entire court system in santa clara county. Reporter tell me about what they are so upset about. They have gone eight years without a pay increase. As anybody that lives in this area knows, this is one of the most expensive places to live. They have folks that are literally couch surfing with co workers. Have lost their homes. Are really having a hard time making ends meet. And eight years without a pay increase is unacceptable. Reporter these are court clerks. What do they do . They are the folks that work inside of each courtroom. They gather up all the paperwork. They make the filings. They process the judgments, the court orders. We are finding the staff has been cut so dramatically. Eight years without a raise, they have lost a lot of workers. Piles and piles of documents are going unprocessed. Reporter thank you very much. Coming up in the next hour you will hear from somebody else from the union. We are also going to see if they do run into the chief justice while they are out here this morning to see if there is any sort of interaction, if there could be any stop to this because, as theyre saying, they are prepared to strike. Back to you. Janine de la vega. Thank you. We will check back. 7 16. Sal castaneda enjoying a day off. We turn to alex savidge for a look at the morning roads. Good morning everyone. In the south bay 280 and 880, that interchange right there, you can see it. Traffic moving along quite nicely at this time. It could certainly be busier than that. Now that thats weakened, its allowing that fog bank to lift. Its now more of a cloyd deck. Not just fog. Low clouds a decent push inland for some. Water temps pretty warm. They came up. San francisco buoy is down one. But then overnight lows are running on the warmer side. 20. Gusts to 2829. Thats not bad. Vacaville west wind. That will bring in a big cooling trend. Gradual for a couple of days. More noticeable by thursday, friday. Fog is there. It will turn back. 60s, 70s. Ukiah, vacaville, 70s.
