This will be on and off and then by lunchtime were drying out and were mainly dry the rest of saturday. As far as temperatures go, very similar to where we were yesterday, within a degree or so this morning and for the afternoon the same. Theres a look at the radar, you can see a few bits of green popping up on the screen. Well be partly cloudy for the second part of your day. We are looking at the next storm already on its way in. It will hit us tomorrow morning, a colder norm that will storm that will bring some snow. A wet weekend, okay, rosemary, thanks. Now from overnight Fairfield Police investigating a deadly shooting that happened just before 10 00 last night on alaska avenue. Police say a man was found inside an apartment with several gunshot wounds. They havent released his name but say hes 26 years of age and from fan. No arrests have been made from San Francisco but arrests have been made. A shooting that happened around 8 last night, all of the lanes blocked for almost two hours during the investigation. We dont know if anybody was injured. We called the chp to get more information, but we are still waiting to hear back. Police shut down a safe way store last night after a man called and said there was a shooting. Officers received the call about 0 09 30 p. M. And rushed to the safe way on grand avenue. They found a caller in the stores restroom who was uncooperative and that throwed a standoff. Police talked him into is a ren dering and took vendorring. Sur rendering. Surrendering. Happening today there you go, that was the site and some of the sound of work crews demolishing the first pier last november. Hopefully todays implosion will go off without a hitch as well. Chp is warning people to be ready for delays anytime between 11 00 a. M. And 1 00 this afternoon. And they say you can expect some rolling closures on the bridge. We think we can see some of the equipment thats going to be used today in the implosion. They are imploding a pier demolishing whats left of the old bay bridge. Crews were out just two weeks ago demolishing pier e5. Last week they demolished the largest section of the old bay bridge. Cal tran has worked with environmental experts to protect marine animals. From the surface mostly what you can see is a curtain of bubbles as the explosives go off. For anybody traveling over the bridge today, chp will be Controlling Traffic on the bridge from 11 00 to 11 00. If you are crossing the bridge you might expect to see some rolling delays as crews work. The newly opened bike lane on the south sited of the south side of the bridge will be closed all day. This is an ongoing project. The next year we can expect to see 6 more due for demolition, 7 more in 2018. If you want to take a look, a lot of people might be interested in taking a look for themselves. Cal trans is saying theres no great way to watch it yourself. Theyre saying the best way is to check out the live stream. I was out there last year when they were demolishing the big section and theres really not much to see from the ground level. Mostly what you can see is you can see a bunch of crews out there and then when the detonations go off you hear a thud and you can see ripples on the water. Theres not a lot to see. The best way to check it out is check out the live feed. Or watch it tonight. It is pretty cool on video. Youre right, christian. I remember that first one we were trying to figure out what are we seeing. Unless you have a chopper above it or something its very difficult. Clinton supports are questioning the timing. James comey says the new emails uncover an investigation about Anthony Wiener. Jana katsuyama reports investigators dont know whether they contain classified information. Reporter the fbi put the email into Hillary Clintons private email server back in the spotlight friday. His letter said in connection with an unrelated case the fbi has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation. The emails reportedly came to light during the fbi investigation of sexual text messaging by Anthony Wiener, the estranged husband of clintons top aid. Trump jumped on the issue speaking in new hampshire, maine, and iowa. The fbi would never have reopened this case at this time unless it was a most egregious criminal offense. When they arrived they found two men stabbed. The victims injuries are not life threatening and when police searched the area they arrested several people. Police say this man had just come home from a social function when someone shot him to death. Gillians wife was home at the time and heard the gunshots. The man approached the counter at the arcade where a 17yearold de sean wright was working to complain about a broken ticket machine. At one point the man walks away and then comes back and hit him. I was laughing at him the whole time. As soon as the teen walked within reach, the customer is seen slapping him so hard the teen falls out of the cameras view. A few things parents do, plan your route early in welllit areas, know the area youre going to, if its your own neighborhood, your own street, try to get your children to have a costume where we can walk and see be and seen, if they have a mask on, maybe they can take it off when theyre crossing the street, look both ways, make sure theyre visible to the drivers, to other people. If you have to go trickor treating at night bring a flashlight which will just help out overall with the drivers to see your child. If theyre dressed in black because thats their costume,. We talked about it just briefly at the top of the hour, but this is going to lower the snow levels of for the first time in a while here. We have a winter storm watch. It will be in place for sunday down to the pass. We could see anywhere from 6 inches to a foot of new snow in areas along i80 as well as highway 50 and its going to be breezy as well. So getting into the sierra today not so bad, but if youre coming back tomorrow or if youre heading up tomorrow, be prepared for the Winter Weather watch and advisories in place for the sierra. As far as for us at home, most of us will see a quarter inch to a half inch and then our coastal hills as well as the mountains could pick up a little bit more.
