The president and first lady joined members of congress to mark the march in selma, alabama. It commemorates bloody sunday when the Police Attacked marchers. We have more from selma. If we want to honor the courage of those who marched that day, all of us are called to possess their moral imagination. All of us will need to feel as they did the urgency. 50 years ago the protestors marched across the bridge from selma heading to the capital in montgomery to end voting practices. Before they could make it, they faced beatings and teargas from state and local police. Students thanked those protestors for the strength. Because of what you did, we have choices in education. Thousands of people, including some who participated in that march are in selma to commemorate the day. We come to be renewed. We come to be inspired. And relatives of the original leaders say the movement is far from over and everyone has their own bridge. Yesterday evening at about 5 30, a Services Unit responded to a call of a person in the water. He was found near the Discovery Bay main channel. They are trying to determine how he ended up away from his boat. The victim was 50yearold Jonathan Bloom of Discovery Bay. He was taken to a local Medical Center where he died. Stretches released of a man who tried to pull a girl into his car when she walked home from school. It was around 4 p. M. She fought back and ran to a house for help. The suspect is a white man in his 20s. 57 with a tan complexion. A scruffy beard. He weigh 1 40 pounds. He was driving a newer model sedan with a light blue dealer plate on the back. And the incident is another kidnapping. Thats when a girl in that case was able to escape. A person is dead. Another injured in a shooting in the south bay. There were reports of shots fired at this morning on oak street in san jose. They found two adult victims, each shot once. Both were rushed to the hospital where one was pronounced dead. The second victim will survive. No word on suspects or motive. A person with a case of measles may have exposed people at two berkeley libraries. Officials say the person visited the Central Branch on february 27th and the West Branch Library that day and the next day on the 28th. The person diagnosed and it is not confirmed but the people who visited the libraries should monitor for symptoms until march 21st. Five people are in jail after a drug bust at a suspected narcotics operation in santa rosa. They were conducting surveillance on a house. Inside the home they found a pound of meth that was packaged to be sent to hawaii. 15,000 worth of meth was seized from the suspects who ranged from 22 years old to 38. They were arrested for suspicious of meth for sale and conspiracy to sell meth. The weather was perfect for a game of flag football, thats what 40 kids did with help from some pros.
