For 20 years until I broke my back a 2nd time and just could not hold a job anymore had been disabled for several years my wife was taking care of me like an angel from heaven and she says thanks to Beth and Barb for saving her life he started out this note by saying I'm a 30 year listener of Kerman radio called party line once about 20 years ago but listen nearly every day and I appreciate the fact that Mr Joe Hale sent me a copy of this nomination and he also told me that he sent a copy of that to our u.s. Congressman Steve Womack who I'm sure will be quite impressed with what he reads as I was myself but that's the kind of station that we have that's kind of listeners we have out here and we are certainly interested in what's going on in the lives of our of our listeners I want to take one more opportunity here this morning to talk about. A service that is vital to senior citizens who are up in years and still want to live in their own home a neighborhood we're talking about right at home which is a non medical in the home care and assistance service. And here's how they do it this non-medical in the home care assistant service provides services such as transportation and housekeeping and laundry and meal preparation bathing or personal care they match you with a trained bonded insured caregiver and you can choose as little time as you need or as much time as you need you can choose like 4 hours a week or you could choose $24.00 seventh's now Rebecca McCarthy is director of right at home and she saw the need for this service when her own mother in law was in the early stages of dementia Rebecca has a degree in health and business is a certified private caregiver with a passion for improving her clients quality of life she supervises about 30 of these caregivers who are background check trained bonded and insured equally important they are compassionate and before she matches you with one of these caregivers she will meet with you and your family one on one to determine what your specific needs are and then her registered nurse develops a custom care plan tailored to address your unique needs and she works with all people including those with Medicaid and long term care insurance as well as v.a. Benefits so if you would like more information about this service right at home then call 479-855-6000 there in Bella Vista but they serve all of Northwest Arkansas and here is that number 479-855-6004 the right care which is right at home. Our airlines are. Silent this morning. Waiting for your call 636797 maybe you've got something else that you wish to address here today some other issues out there we would certainly enjoy hearing from you this morning 636797 Einar 80767779 let's go to the phones on the local line this is party line Good morning good morning John yes or. Oh talk a little bit about trade this morning all right. The house is every day version of the Senate somebody is going to pass this trade bill today for Mexico and Canada and I'm not so sure that this is under their bragging about going to be done when it goes back to Mexico and Canada signed. Mexico is saying that. They're loans that the House they're going after Mexico tell agreed to what was what was given names. The Democrats added some. Labor laws in there that Mexico has fully in disagreement with they think they're saying the United States has got no business telling them how much they have to pay and how many people they have to hire and and I know we're so I'm not sure that is done yet. Yes we'll see after it gets signed but I guess what I'm saying is it's not a done deal yet by any means and although China deal. This deal China hasn't agreed. On paper to anything. They have said what they were doing but they have they have not put down in writing that they will spend $50000000000.00 in agriculture. It looks like to me I watch China a lot and and it looks to me like China is going to. Go back and they may buy another $6.00 to $10000000000.00 more than they were buying before they were buying about $16000000000.00 before and what. What I expect them to buy probably is around $2528.00 something like that so it won't be that much more than what they will buy and going we will see an effect on us she heard home. Help treat. China has contract they've been negotiating all through this time with Tyson and Sanderson and producer and and all these poker growers that didn't they've been working on some mega contracts some chicken so free will. Will consume a lot of their money which is good. for BUSY the perfect factory had parked corporations are they going to help the farmers much but it'll it'll certainly help corporations the farmers can't grow any more than are growing now without going further into debt and an. That's a whole different subject but they will also be. Making tremendous purchases of pork. They haven't got to me and harms 200 scuse me 200 meeting all over the last year. They have lost to swine flu and. Be making tremendous purchases too and. That's going to affect test by seeing our prices go up as support goes out of the out of the country so we may be paying T.-Bone prices for pork chops by the in the next year and. I mean there's a lot of I'm not saying these trade deals are bad I'm just saying. If you really look into They're not all they're hyped up to be there when it would they say agriculture China's going to buy millions of dollars worth of hard. Agro and and a lot of other things like that that are related to our farmers but our farmers will get out of the stress they're in but it's not going to be this tremendous boon for farmers like the like they say it's just it's just not there. And that's sad. In my opinion they should have done more. If it was farmers that really got her. They should have done more to help them but this will be better but it's not going to be the great deals that they're they're talking about and. Other thing is that. The inspector general of Afghanistan during the Obama administration turned in a page of reports and he found that out of the. Infrastructure $100000000000.00 of infrastructure money in Afghanistan disappeared. It was nowhere to be found and the buildings that they built all of the buildings that they built over there I think it was like $47.00 or $48000000.00 of buildings razor collapsing under their own weight or were not deemed safe enough to be used and that those contractors that did this were in the same contractors that Cheney had it before he became vice president he stepped out of it when he became vice president but it was his company's k.b.r. And these is kind of means that he had control that got all those contracts and literally this this Afghan thing Israelis kind of the American people ought to be they're going to be upset about this $750000000.02 pay Afghanistan farmers not to grow poppies but to grow food and the majority of that money went to the Taliban it's just. It's amazing but can I just want to talk a little bit about the trade deal and a little saying I learned about the poultry industry if you follow a chicken from but farm to the table the farmer that grows it gets 2 percent of the profit that is made from growing it all the way to the table it's and and those poor guys. Cut the crap elections Mike Tyson Sanderson all of them did they get these farmers so far in this that they can't say no and walk away they say there's everything they got the night absolutely control us and force them into more and more debt abseil so sorry for these folks it's almost I think it's it's terrible they are treated by the corporations. That they have to grow and that's my comment I think I'm well there's no there's no doubt that the farming industry is like a roller coaster and all you have to do is just kind of casually look around you know right now I was at the sale of our Yesterday we had cattle prices which is the going rate right now $400.00 pounds a year maybe bring a buck 30 or 40 maybe. And many years ago that same steer was bringing $3.00 close to $3.00 a 100 weight so the farmer No he's not he's not raising the steer today any cheaper than he was raising it back in those days but like I say it's a roller coaster now right now our economy is kind of a roller coaster and right now you know the president needs to be careful about bragging about the economy because it makes the bottom in the rear in the another year so what's one of the big factors right now that makes this a rollercoaster Well Boeing as you know is going to probably halt production because the f.a.a. Has not been agreed that this plane this represents a 3rd of their business is is flyable and so they're basically going to have to pull the plug on that particular model aircraft now what this mean. Is that tens of thousands of suppliers are going to be affected that Boeing is saying that at the present time no layoffs they're going to pay their people are going up not going to lay off but I guarantee you if this thing is not does not come to fruition through some sort of a settlement that there will be a layoff and just think about what kind of a factor that would throw into the economy to employment figures around the country if tens of thousands of suppliers to Boeing which is a huge huge. Company. Are affected by by them shutting down production it's and I guess what I'm saying here is that we give too much credit to maybe the president when things are booming we get we give too much blame to the president when things are going sour. It's like my dad said it's not that the man that makes the times it's the times that make the man so be careful about extracting statistics on the economy or anything else by saying Boy Look here what is happening is you know this is bonafide proof that that we're doing a great job because the same people can be victimized by something that's that maybe turn sour in the next few months it reminds me of my old saying that realisation is never as great as the anticipation. The the building that went on in Afghanistan the instr the infrastructure money the millions and billions of dollars that we spent. A we had high hopes that this was going to be the cat's meow but it turns out not to be is as beneficial as we thought so I guess all of us. I need to just kind of take pause and back off and in are saying that elude holds was right when he said nothing is as good or as bad as it seems or somewhere in between reality lies I'll be right back get your calls in on. Are Let's get some more calls on here this morning let's go to the local line this is party line Good morning good morning Daryn yes or I would this year pro Bank am that Ok Mike just a little bit really bad know about this just say the bat. Aeration poultry and it's not going to benefit the farmer and I tell you how we'll build them a bit the farmer without additional There is a lot to rent an hour away didn't time a 20 blocks of butter for us is about saving thing days which gives us 7 flocks a year and if I want to output the day can reduce our out time but say to 14 days and so we will. Every other year we get a check since there's a save and with that going in the Anymore. So there is a benefit some of these other companies even have a long time and get these traders set out to get more out without us incur any more so I'm real positive about it and I think. You know that's one of the facts of the eula. Yes 1st on this cattle market has so 65 steers last week for it to trade people this the earliest get well they know where we'd like to say yes but it's in the right direction thank you and I have a good day thank you well the point I was making with cattle prices is that. A few years ago as you'll recall they were way up there compared to what they are now and yet the cost of producing them with for the farmer is no. Is no less today than it was then but the farmers getting a heck of a lot less hate Let me let me tell you I am a sympathetic guy to the farmer and I. Deal with in a hobby type fashion I'm not a serious farmer. But but I have enough experience with it that that I can commiserate with the farmer out here because he's subjected to a lot of factors over which he has no control and he battles the elements in all you've got to do is go out on an icy they like this morning in and feed your livestock and you get some new calves and I had a new camp last night in the rain and sleet and everything and doggone it the mother happens to be one of the only animals I've got that's hostile and I was going to push this little calf back into the barn and she was going to push me somewhere else so I gave up on that but the guy that goes out here and feeds his livestock every day he's concerned about this and that and the other and yet he's facing weather factors and he's facing uncertainty in the market just lots of arable type stuff and we need to empathize with the farmer and thank him for the job he does because he feeds and clothes clothes this nation as far as that goes and I'm for or anything that. What happened give the farmer better income other words you have a we can come up with trade policies that cause him to have a better market situation nobody deserves more than the American farmer on the local line this is party line Good morning. Let me turn to the t.v. It's Deval clear their day you know they didn't fight it the freedom from religion group come down and they're not going to pray anymore what the what they've done their They've given the next thing's going to happen that are going demand they hire certain people to train standards and stuff you for all this stuff all across that was fruited plain and no stumpy reject good as there's many nonprofit attorneys the organization was Jay Sekulow I can't remember then get on the Internet and find him will represent them for free they've done it before so yes you've got a fag I'm just in the Bonin Yeah I feel real bad about that Colonel I really do when you can have one person who's been here thinking we'll its the way we did it north in fact I don't know if it's the truth or not it's no way to touch try to take control of children who want to pray or get prayed for not that they've ever went to church every thing just you know is something that we do did and it's it's a bad thing and as far as all this politicking curly we're getting tired of it well some of us are but this isn't it what I hear is some I believe it's Mr Trump actually wants it to go to outright trial that way we can find out who the whistleblower is the hole in the witnesses. In the Embassador it. Fire. What happened was I don't know if you've heard the as some years ago like a couple she would not issue visas for Ukrainians to come and testify just refuse I didn't know the ambassador that sort of power and then thing I heard every investor that you hired the Hussein Obama fired him I don't know if it is true or not but I find it revealing if it's true just so much politics in the power of an ambassador that's a new 'd one on me lol reason I'm best driver really heard of was Shirley Temple I don't remember that Colonel she was made or nefesh through and I remember this quote deal you know recognition and all in politics a.o. C. She's very confused she was she is to January 1st to get on the Obamacare health insurers analyses and get on the gold card in their 66 different insurance company and she said it was substitute as she said partially such that as it's either subsidized are it not subsidized partially such that as in Obamacare it was written I thought as it's written one health insurance policies for everybody you know whatever min pay for this women pay for the millions thing. Mediately the staffers. My premiums went from $300.00 a month to $900.00 a month so Obama broke the law same with Arkansas schoolteachers when they found out I think it was I said might have been b. B. I don't know while they realize their premiums were going to skyrocket so that's Ok was subsidized by the taxpayer we got all the money and that's the most unfair thing of Obamacare that I see kernel is why the tax payers not only pay for their own pay for school teachers it's not like they don't make any money. It's about all of her I'm Colonel I really enjoyed that Army Navy surely So thanks a lot now All right thank you well you know here's here's all I'm going to say. And I've mentioned this before it's kind of futile to try to have a comprehensive objective conversation with people about the dilemma that we have in our government because I'm You've got people whose positions are dug in and no matter what you say it's going to be altered somewhat by their thinking. I'm just going to say this that it takes 2 to tango and there are people on both sides of the aisle who are at fault in the in this mess that we have here in this country about the polarization that we have in the dysfunctional government that we have. Both sides are complicit with this problem it's kind of like some kids out here in a big argument and you try to find out who's at fault and all of them have a percentage of responsibility in this argument etc That's kind of the way it is a colonel could list you a bunch of things that. Could have been employed by the administration that would leave eate a lot of this problem but you know in doing that you come across as as being somewhat. Disrespectful to the president in the eyes of those who support him fully and so that there's really no point doing that but there's also a lot of things that Democrats are at fault here and I continue to tell you that one of the lasting things that's going to affect the Democrats is who they put up as a an opponent for the next in the next race because if they think that they're going to put up somebody who implements that new green deal and has Medicare for all and eliminates our borders in the sort of thing if they are spinning their wheels I think they're also stuck if they put up somebody who's met married to a man a man married to a man hits now that's only the Colonel's. Biased point of view so there you go it's it's kind of a toss up and we shall see but again think about this the realization is never as great as the anticipation and when you're trying to ascertain the problem realize that nothing is as good or as bad as it seems somewhere in between reality lies and on that note we're going to have to bail out of here we always counted an honor and a privilege to spend time with our great listeners and agree or disagree we're going to be friends take care have a great day we love you.
