Tonight though the mayor coming out condemning this violence and telling everyone put your differences aside and come together. When you sign up for mayor you get the good and the bad. Reporter unfortunately right now he is dealing with a lot of the latter. Just in past saturday, four people including an offduty philly cop hurt when a group of teens rushed through 16th street and walnut street. He tried to stop one of them and was punched in the face. Our commissioner is quite angry as we are and we will get to the bottom of it. Reporter also late week. Calling someone by any type of slur, defacing a building, participating in a flash mob does nothing to. Reporter the mayor making the comments for a wrapup party for philadelphias unity cup. Its meant to showcase those from different cultures living here in philadelphia. In the past few days there have been hateful attacks, intimidation, damage to public and private property. These acts have no place in our city. Reporter and many living here seem to be in full agreement. This is the time to stick together. This is the time to be unified as a people. Thats unbelievable. The whole point behind this meeting is diversity and inclusion i think we need the media there to be part of the inclusion. Im embarrassed to be living in the School District amidst this activity. Its moments like this that make the white people that i know oh, my gosh this is happening in our Community Like its a surprise. And i think its a good thing to be exposed so we can all work together. Reporter some parents we talk to say this is far from an isolated incident. My kids have experienced things and thats part of why i want to keep it confidential because im working with the School System to make the situation best for my own children. There was a diversity of opinions and per expectatives and suggestions, but i think overall i was encouraged. This is happening at the high school, then its going to filter down, its going happen in the junior high. Im going have my daughter going to junior high next year and its going to happen in the elementary schools. We had a very positive meeting this evening. We had about 50 parents here with us this evening. Excellent dialogue. The superintendent says there will be another meeting on tuesday with parents to continue to discuss this issue. Those guidelines include keeping your drone below 400 feet and within your eyesight and at least 5 miles from any airport. Anyone can fly without any training as long as the drone is registered with the federal aviation administration. You pay 5 bucks, you go on and youre registered and youre good to go.
