Kaine vicepresident joe biden democrats hope tonights speeches can match last night s energy. Emotions bowled over as senator
Bernie Sanders
moved to seal the nomination. I move that
Hillary Clinton
be selected as the nominee of the democratic party. Reporter with that, clinton smashed through the gender barrier as the first woman to lead a major party in the race for the white house. Bill clinton turned on the charm, with a deeply personal testimonial for his wife. You should elect her because she will never quit when the going gets tough. She will never quit on you. Hello, philadelphia. Nominee herself tuned in by satellite. We just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling, yet. On day three clintons running mate did a test run ahead of the speech tonight that will put him in his biggest, spotlight yet. Virginia senator tim kaine steps up to the convention stage, as does current vp joe biden, and after last nights focus on victims of the gun violence members of the
Law Enforcement
will have their turn, including former
Philadelphia Police
commissioner, charles ramsey. How do we bridge gap between police and community that does exist in some communities. Reporter it will also be an important moment, for tonights featured speaker, president barack obama. The white house says that the president has stayed up late into the night, fine tuning his case for clinton, as well as his personal legacy. The white house says that president obama called sanders after the roll call to congratulate him on the race, and his work to unite democrats. Now, the pennsylvania delegation breakfast was held this morning at double tree on south broad street, the delegates are excited about
Hillary Clinton
s historic nomination including former congressman margaret margolis, who is the motherinlaw of chelsea clinton. I mean this is so historic, how do we make sure women understand the importance of getting those issues that are almost always back burner issues on the front burner. You can see that, when hillary becomes president. Isnt it about time we have a woman president in the ands have it happened in the cradle of liberty. I could not be more excited. Bernie sanders was addressing the delegation but could not because of the scheduling conflict. The security perimeter, the fence, where secret service tell us that they are charging four people, in connection, to last night where people were scaling this fence, trying to breach the security perimeter. Lets show you the video of it there were four people, at this point, charged by the u. S. Attorney, in connection to a federal charge, which would be attempting to breach this area. They are actually five people in total, taken into custody by
Philadelphia Police
. Now that has been the crescendo, the most visible public problem that we have seen this entire time. All of the demonstrations including black lives matter,
Bernie Sanders
, those folks, they have all been peaceful according to the
Philadelphia Police
department. In fact, one captain told me that people from out of town have been making it a point to go up to officers on the street and thank them, and pose with them, for pictures. So, many, many different tails to this story, the tail you are seeing inside the
Convention Center
where, of course, there was drama for beginning but when
Bernie Sanders
threw his support behind
Hillary Clinton
that some would snuff that out but there continues to be division on the streets, however, it seems to be somewhat, relatively minor. Of course we are out here keeping an eye on all things. Live at fdr park im joe holden for cbs3

Further south you might see a shower or a thunderstorm. In the meantime the rain chances do start to go on a uphill climb here, in the days ahead.
