Becoming a scary norm. Seems like gunshots almost every weekends. Never used to be like this. Officer is a 14 year veteran, married, with three week old child. Theyll be given medical leave and the fellow officers time away for patrol for counselling and evaluation. We dont start our day want to go shoot or hurt anybody. But when you have a situation like that, it is something that we dont take for granted. Now, internal affairs and the district attorneys offers will be looking at these officerinvolved shootingsment also understand police are not able to have released the identity of the suspect just yet. , cleve bryan, eyewitness news. Cleve, thank youment following more breaking news right now. No one was injured after police fired shots at a dog, charging toward them. This happened on the 3400 block of north sixth street around 2 30 this morning. Police shot at the dog but it is not clear if the dog was struck. And
Philadelphia Police
have now charged two people with the vicious attack on a park ranger caught on camera. But they are still looking for at least one more person. Nineteen year old
Curtis Tanner
and 17 year old are now charged with aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, and recklessly endangering another person. This vicious beating here was caught on camera friday afternoon in center citys love park. Police say the attack happened after the ranger approached several skateboarders telling them they could not skate there in the park. Eyewitness news talked to a skateboarder who also says a also a park and recreation worker. This is somebody that i would be working with, these guys keep these places clean, these guys keep these places safe. The ranger is out of the hospital. Police want anyone who knows about the third person seen in this video to please come forward. It is coming up on 5 03. Traffic and weather together. Good morning, katie. blocking torresdale avenue, in northeast philadelphia, you can see in the background here, those little yellow triangles, as police investigate. This is actually where they pick up the bullet casings, and this is at torresdale and magee in northeast philadelphia. So you can see, with the

here, at least through the first half of our morning rush hour, and until they finish the investigation, torresdale avenue will be closed. So your best bet, through the neighborhood, yep, you have all of those secondary roads, the side streets, the gang from the northeast, you know which ones i am talking about, ditman, walker, keystone, but for the most part your best bet stay with frankford avenue. So torresdale closed from levick, over to princeton, frandfords the way to go, and thats going to impact the 56 bus. The route 56 bus runs along torresdale avenue, and we are waiting for word from septa as to exactly what that route will be for at least the morning rush hour. Live look, the schuylkill expressway, common into downtown, no problems at all here near the roosevelt boulevard. Following breaking news right now, smoke from tear gas fills the air once again as protesters continue to clash with police in ferguson. Authorities say they faced outburst from angry crowds, for throwing rocks, bottles, even molotov cocktails. Correspondent

did not try to enforce any kind of curfew overnight. Instead, they formed lines of

ready to responds to violent outbursts. Even as members of the community urged for calm, a bottle is thrown, just over 11 00 p. M. , and police swarm to arrest a man in front of the crowd of protesters. Elsewhere, a protester holds the line with a ripped out street sign. Do not enter. But as more flare ups prompted more arrests, and with reports of people being shot, police started moving forward, launching smoke and stun grenades, and in some gas. ne ukd to disperse immediately or you will be subject to arrest. Do it now. It wasnt long before police started moving everyone. Officer, whats going on . Clearing out this area, not safe to be here any more. Well, a nine year old boy is recovering this morning after hes hit by a driver in a pretty bizarre accident. It happened on elkart street in philadelphias kensington neighborhood last night. Were told that the driver of this pickup truck then took off with the boy, much to the shock of eyewitnesses on that street. A friend of the boys mother spoke to eyewitness news. Mom said like she appreciated everybodys prayers, and julio was in stable condition, and they expect a full recovery. Police say the driver did flag down some officers. They took the boy to the hospital. There is no word on if the man is going to face any charges. It is sentencing day for a former

So i just talk to septa. Anyone going eastbound, the bus also gun levick, to frankford, and back down nor if you are coming the opposite way, will use nor to frankford, and back down. Einstein Medical Center<\/a>, with the latest on his condition. Cleve . Reporter good morning, i just checked in with the hospital. They say that officer has been admitted. He went in through the emergency room this morning, with a deep graze wound to the head. But officials tell us, they believe he will be okay. Now, all this started around 12 45 this morning, officer and his partner, were responding to a call for a man with a gun on the 6400 block of ditman street. They saw the maenades joined as heavy set man wearing orange shirt near the intersection of magee and torresdale, when they tried to stop him, the man immediately fired at police, striking the officer in the left side of the head. He and three other officers returned fire, striking the 40 year old suspect. The mans gun was recovered at the scene, and he was pronounced dead around 1 30, whether medics arrived they found the officer sitting up and talking. Commissioner
