Reporter oh, yes, jan lots of activity here, very early this morning, 500 men, women and children getting ready to board buses to d. C. Take a look, this is an extremely organized effort here. We have this table set up where people are signing up, and getting assigned to their specific buses. We have all these people here all bundled up with their signs, ready to go down to d. C. And join hundreds of thousands of other people, expect to be there, and this morning, were lucky enough to be here with the organizer, jesse, how are you doing. Good. This is something special, why did you take this huge under taking with all these buses. Well, i woke up, i heard story over and over again. I woke up after the election and i was horrified, angry, and sad and i decided i had to do something. I was never an activist before im a passive activist if you will. I got to get people there we have to show that we can stand together. I have to get people to d. C. So i chartered nine buses and we put out call on facebook and we felt, almost 500 seats, in two weeks. Reporter were you surprised pie that. Shocked. I figured, if i didnt fill the buses we could, you know, tell the bus company and charter the bus for somebody else but it just ballooned. Because i think people are frightened for their rights, and i feel that we should be standing up for each other. If we dont lean on each other no matter our race, religion, background, our immigration status, our gender identity if we dont stand together we will fall apart. Back on Eyewitness News and new this morning a manayunk woman is cooperating with police after they say she shot and killed a man who tried to enter her home. Officers were called to the 4300 block of boone street before 3 00 to this morning. They say a man tried to entered that womans apartment with scissors and she then shot him in the neck. Woman is in custody as Police Investigate and shes claiming selfdefense. Also overnight a man is in stable condition after being stabbed in philadelphias pop lar section. This happened here on the 700 block of north tenth street before 2 00 oclock. The 54 yearold victim was stabbed once in the stomach, fortunately his injuries are not life threatening and there is no word just yet on who stabbed him. Well, reputed drug kingpin known as el chapo is one of the most, is in one of the most secure lock ups in the country. Joaquin guzman appeared in federal court in brooklyn as he he faces a long list of charges including murder, Drug Trafficking and kidnapping. Guzman pleaded not guilty to charges in a 17 count indictment.
