Reporter good morning, jan , police say 58 yearold woman who happens to work in security at family court is recovering at the hospital from at lee a couple of gunshot wounds this all happened at 8500 block of somerdale avenue in northeast philadelphia, police say they responded around 12 30 this morning. They say victim was in bed when she noticed her window was open. When she closed it she heard several gunshots and she was shot once in the left arm and once in the abdomen and once near her chest. Suspect then tried to get inside the home but was unsuccessful. That 58 yearold is listed in stable condition at jefferson hospital, her husband luckily was not hurt. Doctor george fuks of the Philadelphia Police said suspect had to put in some effort to fire those shots. Right new we dont have any suspects. We do have a scene, we have the actual screen, the big hole and it appears that someone would have to actually climb on to a chair to actually fire into the bedroom area. Reporter police did find one of the bullet holes went through the pillowcase of that victim. Shes recovering from this Home Invasion, police are saying they are looking for Surveillance Video that may help identify the suspects, but if you have any information, call the police. The chaos unfolded outside of the bustleton avenue tarring, gunfire erupted in the parking lot sending one man to the hospital. Eyewitness News Reporter alexandria hoff has details. I went to the back of the store. Closest exit that is where i was going. Reporter brittany, her four yearold son and grand mother were among dozens blind sided by sound of gunfire. While shopping inside target store on bustleton avenue around 3 30 p. M. The alarms go off, police come in and we waited. Reporter three sheltered in place in the stockroom in the back of the store, police and swat units arrived and placed the property on lock down. We have one victim shes in stable condition at aria torresdale and it began with the fight that was outside and not inside. Reporter according to commissioner richard ross a fight between three to five males in the parking lot led to the shooter firing five shots, one struck the victim and unclear if he was intended target. That shooter we believe, did escape but there are no other shooters that the time. Officers approached the man who had stolen a car, they say that suspect tried to take an officers weapon but then started to cooperate, however, Police Say Suspect then started to fight with a second officer, shots fired and suspect was killed.
