It ruptured near hunting park and west more land streets. This is second big water main break there in months. Part of it the but that may or may not be the case here but water main break, in question, that what the are main break was built in 1895. That could be an issue. As we will sea Water Department crews are putting up protective barrier here and what used to be the old tastykake factory, parking lot. After that water main crack own opened yesterday evening. Crews are working to wash away debris and effort will continue at least until tomorrow. The break happened around 8 00 s 16 million gallons of water gushed near hunting park and west more land forcing police to close several streets between fox and 29. Water Department Crew as arrived and shut water off before 10 00 p. M. Area residents reported low water pressure but no one was evacuated. Spokesmen john dejulio was on the scene. Step one in a multi step clean up process. The initial steps are make sure that the area is cleaned up, bringing in the equipment to excavate the wash out here. We remove that material carefully. There are several other mains in the area so we have to do so carefully. Once we have a visual we will see what kind of break we are dealing with that was built in 1895, so dejulio says it could take time for crews to carefully make the necessary repairs. This isnt the First Century old water main break in this area. The main broke near bakers Shopping Center which is a half mile away and sent 7 million gallons of water in the street over there. The aftermath of this break will continue, the crews hope to have hunting park avenue opened by morning rush hour tomorrow and also, i should mention that city council has introduced a bill that would help crews inspect aging water mains so that this type of thing would not continue to happen. Manhunt continues this morning in Burlington County for a escaped prisoner. Officers were bringing this man Michael Mimbs in the Burlington County jail yesterday morning, when he slipped away. Police say mimbs escaped into downtown mount holly, still in handcuffs and with no shoes. Twentyseven yearold is facing charges of unlawful handgun possession in delaware county. Anyone who sees mimbs or knows where he is should call 911. In oklahoma, a prison remains on lock down this morning after inmates are killed and five injured during a riot. Police identified that man as six fiveyear old pilot, david seas. Not every day that a good friend crashes their plane in your own yard. Reporter police say seas took off from Camden County airport in his sesna150 and was flying over atco, numbering at 11 30 saturday morning. The moment his plane dipped in the wood add year just behind the backyard and crashed. Seas, the pilot and only person on board, was killed.
