we didn't do a whole bunch of studio pitches. we just started to think about who were like-minded individuals, organizations, that were interested in this kind of fair. and we came up with a few voices. at the ford foundation. and the melinda gates, and like-minded folks that are interested in this. >> it's awesome, because it has the look and feel and aesthetics of a big film. >> it is. it's a film made by philanthropists. >> exactly. the unlocking moment in that book, which i hadn't read, and i had wilkerson in, it's this -- the expense of slavery, for obvious reasons. but the experience of hierarchy according to caste is a much broader and global phenomenon through times and space in different history. what do you want people -- that to me was the juxtaposition i walked away with, how do you think about this hitting your audience? >> i just think, you know, the knowledge of the interlocking
