close to the georgia coast this evening and could even make landfall in the carolinas tomorrow. but the big story this morning is the stunning devastation in the bahamas. the landscape was covered in debris, all that's left of communities. the entire town was wiped out with wind and storm surge which reached 23 feet. if you look at the satellite images of grand bahama island, you can see just how much of the island has been completely devour devoured, swallowed up by the atlantic ocean. three-fourths of homes are under water. right now the official death toll is seven but that number is expected to rise. joining me now, chief of fema, larceny anderson, and spokesperson for the american red cross and cindy hughes. lars, you've dealt with fema.
