Shes married to man who was the worst abuser of women in the history of politics. Shes married to a man who hurt many women and hillary, if you look and see a study, hillary, hurt many women. The women that he abused. She was an unbelievably, nasty,
mean, enabler and what she did to a lot of those women is disgraceful. No one should be subjected to it. It was an assault. He start unbuttoning my top. I try to pull away from him. That will be bill and Hillary Clinton. The third piece is drawing the clintons out. He wants to let Hillary Clinton though this will not be easy. I want to get to some more tape from trump. If we have a contest, which looks like well have between two candidates that are both very unpopular, were going to have a campaign where each tries to make the other unacceptable than they are. Also, when you raise the issues of mistreatment of women, i think its an attempt to moderate or minimize Hillary Clintons big advantage among women voters. Make it doesnt make women voters want to vote for donald trump but make some women voters think twice about voting forHillary Clinton. I think theres a voter strategy involved with some of this. When i interviewed trump in 98, he had far more praise for clinton then. Here is what he said about the economy back then. Lets watch. I think its the best thing he has going is the economy is doing great. They talked about the 80s are good and the 90s are much better. The economy, i dont think, has ever been better. Its very minor. Relatively speaking. Its very strong. At that time, trump said he would have a hrd time running for president given what he referenced as his past with women. Lets watch. Did you ever have a flicker when taking a shower or walking to work you say youve run every battle youve fought, why dont you run for governor or president . People ask me all the time. How about me with the women. Michael, there he is chuckling about his swordsmanship, if you will. I dont know if he wants that one thrown around. Maybe he does. Hes consistent. Talk about controversial. Hello. Talk about me with the women. Hello. I think he knows himself well enough to know. Thats something that people like about him. He doesnt hide from that stuff. Hes not trying to mask it or put a bushel basket over it. Except for the fact the one real vulnerability to donald trump, throwing negative information about the things hes said and done doesnt work to destabilize his support. The idea hes a phony. Where is that in here in. All democrats have to unearth that of him saying the opposite. If hes saying the clintons are evil, hes saying he wasnt running against them then. It doesnt make a difference. It looks purely political and looks like it wasnt his authentic thoughts. Did can you ever see two guy, two members of Congress Next door, they get redistricted and have to run against it. They dont like each other. It doesnt help to look like a phony. For his audience this is the one vulnerability that hes a phony. Last night trump defended bringing up clintons past. Here he is defending the fact hes throwing mud. They have been nasty. Shes been very nasty. I dont like doing that but i have no choice. When she hits me, i have to choice. You have to do it. Its unfair. Theyre dirty players. They have been dirty historically and i have to fight back the way i have to fight back. He looks a little different. I look about the same. Im not very happy with these tapes. What do you make of this i have a right to do tit for tat. Theyre not coming at him as viciously as hes counter attacking. Nobody has called him a murder. Its pretty preemptive. Its a warning shot they better not attack him for whatever is in his past. Hes got all this ammunition that he will use back at them. I think a lot of this is an attempt to get under their skin and get them to respond and get them off message. One of the hardest things theClinton Campaign has is to get their message through. It makes it harder for clinton to do that. Let me follow to your point. If you look at numbers that we have came out with, clearly one ofrts probl of the problems she faces is the old likeability thing. Its hard to have a charm offensive. It puts her in the backseat of an argument. How do you win that . Im innocent but also kind of likable. You cant be in a discussion about whether or not you murdered vince foster and make any progress. You have to put that aside and talk about your issues. Its absurdity. Theres something about trumps ability to launch these grenades. The last thing i want to say
is the problem is its not additive. It helps with people who already hate the clintons and will vote for him. At some point he has to do something that involves addition. Some take us as not being aggressive and progressive as they are as if they have a monopoly on the Democratic Party. I think at some point this line here is probably whats going to bring an end to this campaign. A call for almost a messiness and a violence like what we saw in nevada. If thats what he is looking for in nevada, they will say you have raised an important race and addressed the issues. Youll have an opportunity to make the case but we have to move on because we have a serious opponent on the republican side if he wins will undo what barack obama has done. We cannot risk that. Lets talk about how he puts the breaks on. How does he put the breaks on at the speed hes going because hes promising Free College Tuition . How does he back down for that . Lifetime health care. How do you pull back from that . Huge increase in social security. He goes into that drafting committee and how does he come out of it and say ive done a great job here and moved the party to the left and can turn it over to hillary. How does he do that running at this speed . I think thats the huge challenge for him right now. You can also feel that the campaign is trying to figure it out. They have come this far. So many people feel as though he has run a great campaign. How does he land this plane in a way that does speak to the desires of all of his supporters and allows them to get behind Hillary Clinton. Thats not his top prpriority. Its making sure the policies get into the democratic platform. I think compromise will be a big word. Hillary clinton has to walk a fine line. She cant go too far to the left in a general election against donald trump. Shes been pretty clear that shes not going to adopt all of his policy positions. Theres going to have to be a lot of compromise involved in that. I asked him, is he calling for his supporters to protest if he doesnt get what he wants at the convention. He sort of sidestepped that question and said i feel confident that we will be able to reach some agreement. I think that is what hes doing to be looking for. Maybe not all of those policy positions that you just mapped out but a few of those and hes really the lynch pin to rally those younger voters. A lot of them saying they will not support secretary clinton in a general election. Youre reading all this in venezuela, they claim voter fraud. Theres never an election where the loser doesnt say claim voter fraud. When they win they arrest the person who lost the election and throw them this jail. They hang them. You listen to trump and burr kn Bernie Sanders, its beginning to sound like a third world count country. When is the last time you heard a decent concession speech from Bernie Sanders or trump. Why doesnt anybody do that anymore . We lost. Chris, theres also this conceit here. Believe me, i can see how passionate senator sanders followers are. Only people the voting for him matter in this election. I have a feeling that the guys who want trump to win, they think the same way. I keep asking this, whats the end game here. You keep hearing all this third party talk. Doesnt it seem that Bernie Sanders is running a Third Party Campaign already . Yeah. The big difference between trump and sanders, at least trump got enough delegates to
make the case. The scoreboard is clear on trumps part. Hes already in another party. It could be fairly convenient to run a third party candidate. I dont think he will. Its so difficult to run and you end up picking up 7 or 20 of some votes. All you do is hurt your side of the spectrum. We have seen it a hundred times. Thank you all.
