Anniversary of ner9 11 today. John bolton unusual bipartisan cheers. The National Security advisor chair, National Security counsel and distill ideas and options for the president. A list of emerging who could possibly replace bolton. The names so far including major waddell, brian hook, u. S. Representative for iran and general kellogg who served acting security advisoadvisor, Homeland Security tom bossert and ambassador to germany richard grenell. Joining me now our annie carney and our nancy cook. Corey, you got some exclusive reporting between the president and john bolton and what i believe is quite a surprise with who the president reached out to in terms of h. R. Mcmaster, the last one who had the job. Thats right, steph. It was surprising given the way that President Trump unceremofi mcmaster and offered the job to bolton and now he fired bolton. Only several months after bolton started the job, President Trump started reaching out to h. R. Mcmaster telling him that he missed him and he reached out to him other time asking for advise on things like conflict and attention with iran and asking him who should be his next secretary of defense, stephanie. The president just talked about boltons firing. The advisor was not getting along with important people in the administration. Now that hes gone, what are the feelings inside the white house . For months President Trump says it was good that john bolton sort of had a different opinion as the president but at last, that did not work out. That did not work out. We saw it in the faces of pompeo and mnuchin in the Briefing Room, big smiles. This has been a tension between pompeo and bolton as to who is the top dog in terms of foreign policies advise given to the president and pompeos side is i won. There is a lot of relief that bolton is gone. There is concern, bolton was a character who was not afraid to disagree with the president and pushed back. His people are getting up and saying his legacy is saving trump from three potentially disasterous deals that he could have gotten back at bolton pushing back hard. This is someone at the end of his career who did not have much to lose and was not looking to maneuver something higher. Now, hes gone. Thats another check in the white house against some of trumps instances thats no longer there. Are people inside the white house glad hes gone . Yes, there is a scene that played out outside the Briefing Room in front of Stephanie Gresham where she was walking back to her office. Boltons advisor was speaking to reporters and telling them this line of he saved this administration from bad deals and Stephanie Gresham sort of smile, i dont know what bad deal means. You are in the white house and talking to Administration Officials and one of them sort of snarking on the way the other one is spinning the departure. Yes, there is tension and the one whos causing all the tension is now gone. Snarking is definitely tense. Kourtney, here is something that stuck out for many of us. That was regarding north korea and his position on venezuela when he was talking about why bolton was fired or why he left. Here is the thing. Those issues happened month or if not a year ago. It was months ago. It sounds as if there is a series of Foreign Policy National Security issues that john bolton had a different view on than President Trump. The reality is as a National Security adviser, you can make the decision to pursue your own policy agenda or take what the president wants and pursue that. It just became more and more apparent that john bolton was pursuing his own National Security and Foreign Policy agenda and policies that he was trying to enact as opposed to the one that President Trump was on it. My colleague and i reported of the final straw of the whole camp david meeting that trump tweeted about. There was supposed to be a meeting between the te telleban meeting and it came out later after the meeting was cancelled, john bolton was against the idea. That was widely reported and john bolton never disputed those reports. According to a number of officials we spoke to was a last straw. The president was angry as he saw john bolton leaking those stories and he did not dispute the notion they were at odds on the idea of this meeting. Nancy, lets talk about who will get the job. Who do you think has the best shot and who is the most closely aligned with the president ideology . I think brian hook mostly because hes at the state department and hes as pompeo aide. Secretary pompeo is one of the most influential people in the trump orbit at this point. I would argue the most influential cabinet member. What i see whats happening is a proxy battle to see who can take over the slot. I think mulvaney, he would love to stick in that slot and pompeo would love to stick brian hook in there. And so it is really going to be sort of a fight among people to put their person in that slot. I would put my money on pompeo and brian hook just because pompeo has been so adapt at working with the president and managing the in fighting at the white house at this point. I think hell have a key say in who ever gets that position. Nancy. Hes a close ally of kushner and brian is with him. You see it play out time and time again. And i think at this point the people who are close to jared are the ones who are succeeding in the campaign and the white house. Rex tillerson or the former white house attorney don mcgahn or general cjohn kelly, those people all left. Having their support is a key part of succeeding in the trump white house. All right, nothing make my day when three smart women help us. My friend jane harden. Je jane, whats your take on john boltons departure . Let me say first speaking of bright woman. You are certainly one and dkudo to you for speaking out on the forbes matter. It is 9 11 and remember the important thing we should talk about today is what happened 18 years ago and the resilience of your country has not been perfect but no major catastrophic attacks thanks to the work of a lot of people and three different administrations. On the bolton thing, my reaction is everybody knew who he was when we came. Everybody knew he was hard to work with and guess what. Surprise. But, my comment Going Forward is i almost dont think it matters whos in the job. I think what matters is whether that person will be permitted to restore a process where the best in government and outside the government can comment and thoughtfully consider furture action. I think there is been no process for a long time and the absence of process seems to me caused us a lot of worries around the world. Just on the iran thing which i know you were discussing, my own comment is, if we had a better pr process, the president would have done what the majority of congress wanted, majority on both sides and what they thought in the first place is to stay in the place, the jcpoa. I believe having done that, if he had europe and russia and china and us pulling in the same direction, it would be stronger by now and that would have been a great victory lap for him. Do you think the American People think that much about the president and some calls it a revolving door with the amount of National Security advisors he had. To the average american who loo looks at today and says it has been 18 years and we have not had a ner9 11 since then. There is a lot of people should be congratulated with that. This is a sacred day and we need to honor the sacrifice of so many and the amount of treasure that was spent and sacrifice of our allies and the great people who are still there risking their lives and the military folks and diplomatic folks and the Intelligence Community assets that i think are so talented. I think people look at that and possibly think that way. I think most people focus on what the hearing now and they see some chaos obviously in the white house and they worry about the economy and the Economic Indicators and a large extent is the economy stupid and that was the old mantra, thatll affect enormously what happens as it is endless election season progresses. All right, jane, thank you so much. I appreciate you. Jane harmon. Talk about this afternoon and today. Today america marks 18 years since the deadly terror attack on september 11th. President trump spoke at the pentagon about the memory of that horrible day. Every american who lived through that day, the september 11th attack is seared into our soul. It was a day full of shock and his or her row and righteous fury. The future of your people is secured through the vigilance of our people. That was the president. Across the country people are mourning and commemorating and remembering those loss on a bright morning back in 2001. This years commemoration brings the security that they will be cared for after Congress Finally secured permanent funding for the 9 11 victims. Here in new york city, the ranks of the fdny will be joined by 13 children of First Responders who died that day. The largest legacy class yet. From the white house to capitol hill to the pentagon to new york, and in pennsylvania, moments of silence. That was moments ago, President Trump wrapped up where he talked about several issues. You talk a look at what happened with kadafi and what was not a good statement to make. He wanted to do things not tough, hes so tough he got us into iraq, thats tough. But, hes somebody that i actually had a Good Relationship with. He was not getting along with people in the administration that i consider very important. I hope we left in good stead but maybe we have not or maybe we have. I have to run the country the way we are running. We are doing very well and respected all over the world again. Respected like we have been respected in many, many years. Lu you look at iran and other things that are happening. Iran wants to talk, they all want to talk. We are doing well with china. You probably saw the numbers coming out. Chinas supply chain is breaking up. The supply chain of china which was unbreakable and powerful tool that they had is breaking up like a toy because companies are moving out and china wants to make a deal. Well see what happens. China has been taken out hundreds of billions of dollars a year out of our country. I read papers like the wall street journal, they dont have a clue. They have not got a clue. They dont make any excuses to the fact that china has been literally ripping off the United States in the worst matter. 500 billion pouring out of the United States. I hear people do these people have education on anything. It is common sense maybe more than anything else. But, i look at some statements that are made from so many different people and you know john was not in line of what we were doing. Actually in some cases he thought it was too tough of what we were doing. Mr. Tough guy, you have to go into iraq. Going into iraq was something he felt strongly about. We are right now over 7 trillion into the middle east. I dont say it is his decision. He was very out there i can tell you. And wanting to have them do it. I disagree with that decision from the beginning even though i was a civilian and nobody cared. I thought it was a terrible mistake. Many years later, decades later we are still there and we have been acting as policemen. I will tell you one thing, we are hitting the taliban harder than they have been hit. What they did was horrible. When they kill a Great American soldier, when they kill 12 people, innocent people essentially innocent people, if you look, many of these people were civilians. In addition to our great soldiers. When tidhat they did in order to create what they thought of a better negotiating stance, thats the end of them. Get them out. I dont want anything to do with them. They have been very hard. That was a big mistake they made and it was. That was my decision and what we are doing now is my decision. So we have a lot of great people that want that position. A lot of great people that want a lot of position, they want to be apart of the administration, we have done more in this administration in less than three years than i believe any president. You look at the accomplishment , even at what we are doing, these are big things, nobody else would be doing this. Theyre big things. We have done more than any administration, probably the history of the country, you look at one point after another point whether it is regulation cuts or whether it is tax cuts, you look at right to try with these two gentlemen so important where people are able to use some of the incredible innovations that we have developed with the greatest labs and greatest doctors in the world and they can use them instead of being forced to move or lever believer countries that dont have a clue. A lot of things are happening. What we have done for the vets and what we have done for our great military, we are spending 718 billion. By the way, thats also jobs. Secondarily but it is also jobs. Nobody has done what we have done. We are very honored to have done it. We are at a good footing. Our country are respected again. Mr. President i have five people that wanted very much. A lot more than that would like to have it. There are five people that i consider very highly qualified, good people i have gotten to know over the last three years. And, well be announcing somebody next week. We have highly qualified people. We were setback badly when john bolton talked about the libyan model. He made a mistake. As soon as he mentions that, the libyan model, what a disaster. Take a look at what happened to kadafi, hes using that to make a deal with north korea and i dont blame kim jongun for what he said after that. He wanted nothing to do with john bolton. Thats knot a questinot a quest tough. Thats a question for being not smart for saying Something Like that. I wish gone the best, we got along very well. I am sure hell do whatever he can do to spin it his way. John came to see me the night before, i think a lot of you people waiting for me to get on the helicopter to have a shot along the line. He sat right in that chair and i told him john, you have too many people, you are not getting along with people and a lot of us including me disagree with your tactics and ideas. And, i wish you well but i would like you to submit your resignation and he did that. And, i know hes going to do well, i hope hes going to do well and i wish him well. What do you announce on background checks . I spoke to senator murphy and joe mansion of a long time. Just before this meeting, just hung up and we are working hard to get all of this and see if we can come up with something thats susceptible to somebody. It is a subject thats been going on for decades, decades have been looking at putting everything together in a unified way so that we can have something thats meaningful and at the same time all of us want to protect our great Second Amendment. It is all important to all of us. We are now in meetings and well speak with them again tomorrow. Progress is being made. Are you willing to put back checks on all private gun sales. Lewell look at a lot of Different Things and reporting back. There are a lot of things under discussion, something will never happen and some things can happen and some meaningful things can happen. It is gun sense. What we are looking at is maybe is what we should call it, the gun sense. Well have some we are having some great dialogue. Did you tell your chief of staff to disavowal those forecasters no, i never did that. That was a whole hoax about the hurricane when they talked about alabama. It was fake news from the beginning. It was a fake story. While we are here and while we are talking about that, i want to congratulate dan bishop last night on an incredible, dan were 17 points behind three weeks ago, the media thought he was going to lose, they were all set to have a big celebration with their partners from the Democrat Party and dan bishop worked really hard and he made up a 17point lead in a few weeks. He won a great election last night and gregg murphy won a great Congressional Election in North Carolina last night. I want to congratulate between dan and greg, what a job they did. We picked up two seats, greg anticipated by winning one or twopoints. I dont know what the final tab was but he won a lot. He campaigned brilliantly and as well as dan. Thats a tremendous win for the republican party, okay . Now that john bolton is gone, what will change in venezuela . We have a policy in venezuela thats a firm policy. Venezuela really is hurting and we are trying to help people in a humanitarian way. Thats probably not good in terms of crushing a terrible regime but people are dying. This is a country 15 years ago is one of the weltiealthiest coy and now they are dying. They dont have food or medical or nothing. I thought he was way out of line. I think i have proven him. I dont want to talk about it. They become really Rich Companies really fast and the whole thing with vaping has been profitable. I Want Companies i fight for companies very hard. Thats why i am fighting with china. Thats why i am fighting with other countries. If you look at European Union and japan and so many others including south korea and many others were constantly dealing with them to make it good for our companies because i you it as jobs for our country. Vaping is becoming a big business as i understand it like a giant business in a short period of time. We cant allow people to get sick and we cant have our youth be so effective. Thats how the first lady got involved. She got a son together, thats beautiful young man and she feels very strongly about it. She succeeded and we are both reading it. People who are dying with vaping. We are looking at it closely. You know if nothing else, this is a conference thats going to let people know about it. People are going to watch what we are saying and parents are going to be tougher with respect to their children. A lot of people think vaping is wonderful and it is great. It is not wonderful. Thats one thing i think we can say definitely. Commissioner, it is not a wonderful thing. It is a big problem. We have to find out the extent of the problem. It is so new. We are going to find out. I hope that parents that have children and their children are at a certain age, i hope theyll be able to make wise decisions and basedsaid. Commission commissioners will be coming back with some strong recommendations. Can you tell us it will take several weeks for us to put out the final guidance thatll announce all the parameters around the enforcement policies and there will be another 30day delay effective date, at that point, all flavored ecigarettes will have to be removed from the market. They have to file for aprooufpr of fda of their product. Other manufactures can and any time can be filed before approved fda. The Obama Administration had allowed these products to go on in the market in an unregulated way in hopes that people who are considered using tobacco would transition to a less harmful nicoti nicotine. What we are seeing is the data shows the kids are getting access to these products in despite of our best enforcement at controlling locations and at over 8,000 retailers instead of moving products offer shells, they have been going at it. We simply have to remove these attra attractive labor market in the marketplace. Mr. President. I am not looking at anything. Iran is a different country 2. 5 years ago. They were given a lot of mumbai president obama. 150 billion, 1. 8 billion in cash. In actual cash. It is very impressive. They are much different country right now than 2. 5 years ago when i came into office. I do believe they would like to make a deal. If they do, thats great. If they dont, thats great, too. They have tremendous financial difficulty and the sanctions are getting tougher and tougher. We cant let iran have a Nuclear Weapon and theyll never have Nuclear Weapon and if they are thinking about enrichment, they could forget about it. It is going to be dangerous for them to enriched. Very dangerous. You can spread the word to iran. Would you consider using sanctions to make a meeting happen . Well see what happens. I think iran has potential. I think north korea, those are two countries we are dealing with at high levels. I think iran has tremendous potential, incredible people. We are not looking for regem change. We hope to make a deal and if we cant make a deal, it is fine, too. They have to make a deal. They never been under this condition. China is having the worst year than 57 years, okay . 57 years is the worst year they had. It is only going to get worse. They want to make a deal, too. Theyre coming in early october and we are speaking with them constantly. They made a couple of moves last night, they were pretty good, right . They were respectful to our people. You will see it because you are one of the people reported it. China is about having to do with tariffs yet. You saw what they did. They took tariffs and a lot of things. I think they did the right thing, it was good for them. But, they took them off. Yeah, it was a gesture, okay . It was a big move and people were shocked. I like them and i hope we can do something. With respect to iran, they have to do something. They have a potential to have an unbelievable country. The way it is going right now is dissen gra d disenegrating. It is an incredible people and i think they really will and they have this truly unbelievable potential. I think they want to get to it. Well see what happens. Maybe they do or dont want. You will have to see. I believe north korea would like to see something tremendous happens. This could be one of the most unbelievable, you look at a country in terms of upside, this could be one of the most unbelievable experiment ever, north korea. I also say the same with iran. Iran can get back to business and they can do unbelievably well with all the natural things. This is all about vaping and it is a meeting getting off track because you ask us questions about other things. We are better answer it than not. We are looking at vaping strongly and dangerous and children have died and people have died. The acting commissioner is somebody that is a true expert on. We are going to have some strong rules, regulations and more importantly, well have some Important Information come out very shortly, okay . Well be reporting that over the next couple of weeks. I want to thank you you and commissioner, i want to thank you you very much. Thank you everybody. Joining us now kristen welker, our National Security and charlie savidge. There is a lot to go through there. Lets start with the president. Lets start with john bolton. Hess a tough guy, mr. Tough guy, we knew we were going to get those types of things. Did you feel we got to the meat while john bolton did not belong . I think we did, you heard President Trump ticked through all of their foreign policies and north korea and iran and venezuela. He talked about the fact they did not see eye to eye on that issue and i think he made a really interesting point which is he said he did not get a long with a number of the people of the administration. That was an increasing problem for President Trump. Bolton sharply disagreed with the president s plans to bring the taliban to camp david for peace talks. President trump scraps those plans on his own. Bolton clearly want to make it known to the public that he disagrees with that move strongly. You heard the president airs his grie grievance. The president is now moving to find his fourth National Security advisor. We know the search is onto find a replacement for john bolton. Worth pointing out, he was tresztres pressed on another hot topic, issues of iran. Mike nikitas m pompeo says h willing. You heard the president there get pressed on whether or not hes considering easing some sanctions if that meeting were to happen. President trump really dodging that and said well, well see what happens but thats certainly one issue that we have on our eyes today as well. Charlie, your biggest take away. He went through a wide number of topics. I think i would stay with the john bolton issue. I found it interesting that trump was taking a lot of shots at him and making fun of him for being a tough guy and repeatedly coming back to bolton misstep and talking about the libya model causing turbulence with north korea leader. I think trump is aware that bolton has a reputation for being an graggressive person an already in john bolton departure at the white house calling trump a liar by saying he offered his resignation, it is not that trump fired him as trump has been portraying it. There is a potential here for some attacks on trump from the National Security rights if bolton goes rogue rather than biting his tongue the way other people ousted from this administration have largely done. This is a warning of what bolton can expect if he does go after trump. The president was talking about the massive Economic Impact that has been on the chinese economy and china is certainly hurting from it. The way trade war works, it is not one side alone that hurts. We are both hurting. He said we are constantly talking to china about this trade deal. Are we in active negotiations right now . We know there are more negotiations scheduled. How frequently are these two sides actually talking. It is not clear that this is something going on on a daily bases. At some point of this trade war before the economy dozen fact starts to show signs that it is weakening. President trump of course had states reelection on the economy and so he knows if this takes a bite out of it. That could hurt him politically. Having said that, this trade war has escalated and that in part is if something that the president has acknowledged and he thinks that china is waiting for the election is over before they really come to the table in a serious way. President trump acknowledging the political reality that he needs to at least look like hes moving towards some type of a deal even if it is far off. I guess my follow up when i reach out, i would love to know what those active conversations are. It would be interesting tw what are those active conversations that he referenced. Lets talk ecigarettes. It was a reason they came together. The president noted what a crisis at this point and what a problem vaping is. We know it is a multiple death. It is a big crisis. You have six deaths and you have more than 450 people injured across 41 states. Most of the people suffering severe lung injuries are young people who are vaping. People who are under the age of 24. It is extraordinary. Within days they go from being healthy to being on a ventilator. It is that fast down fall that got everybody so concerned. The fda and the cdc still dont know what it is that makes people so sick. The idea now is to try to scrub the market of these flavored ecigarettes. Thats whats attracting young people. They like their flavors like gummy bears and bubble gums and things like that. They want to clear the market of it. Jewel has taken flavors off ecigarettes off retail. It would be other maker. It is a step but it is not as big of a step as it may seem i would argue. And you have seen michigan. The governor there says theyre not going to allow the sales of flavored ecigarettes anymore. You got San Francisco that banned ecigarettes. The federal government is lacking behind here of what local government is trying to do to get them. Thank you so much. Kristen and charlie. Thank you. A lot more discussions that we have. We are honoring the fallen of september 11th of 2001, 18 years after the terror attack. A wreath is laid at the pentagon at ner9 11 memorial. Congress is back in session and the house is gearing up. Joining me now is joaquin castro, thank you for joining me this morning. We heard from the president on his firing of john bolton. You tweeted in reaction of t bolton firing that we need reliable and steady leadership. This president also the way they handle National Issues before and after john bolton have been erratic. He was a third National Security advisor that President Trump has had and now hell have a fourth and no president before has had four National Security advisors. He demonstrated a rash approach. The United States is paying a price for that. What is that price . North korea is closer to a techniques weapon than ever before. That includes further development after President Trump went and met with the north korean leader. There seems to be no coherent strategy with respect to either afghanistan or iran. The president for whatever reason has surrounded himself with the yes man and yes woman like mike pompeo who dont challenge him at all and if there is somebody thats independent and challenges him and does not fit in perfectly with these photos, he gets rid of them. Well, i think it is always better to talk than to go to war. I think we should talk to them first. This president has been half hazard of how he has hahn lndle that. Should we meet with the iranian leader without preconditions. But you have to know what you want to get out of it and you have to allow the professional staff of the state department and others in the federal government to set it up so that it increases your chance of success. The president has no done any of that. He didnt do much of that with the north korea talks. You see what happened there. North korea is closer to Nuclear Weapon than it was before. I want to go back to john bolton for a moment, the president will benefit for someone who pushes back. In the case of the taliban meeting, it was bolton who says it should not happen. In this instance, do you think john bolton was right or maybe right for the job . In that case, i often disagree with john bolton from the iraq war on ward. Bringing in the taliban on the week of 9 11 was obscene. That idea was obscene. I am surprised that john bolton may have been one of the only senior people in the white house that could tell the president that and able to was able to se that. In that instance yes, i think he was correct. The House Judiciary Committee has passed three big measures on gun legislation. Its important people around the country are showing support of it. But if the senate doesnt even pick up their pencil weight the point of this . Well, i mean you could say that with a lot of issues, right, because we do have divided government. You have a republican in the white house, you have a republican senate, and a democratic house, but it doesnt mean that you stop pushing. The house of representatives and the committees of the house of representatives have to keep pushing on these issues because we will come to a point where mitch mcconnell, eat negotiations and compromises, or succumbs to popular will. Remember, on background checks which is waiting in the senate 90 of americans support back grounds checks. You have to keep pushing and advancing those things because there will come a time where they will pass. All right. Well see. Congressman castro, thanks so much for joining me today. Thank you. Up next, other side of the coin. Ill be speaking to republican congressman tom reid with how theyre busy with gun legislation. Is there enough bipartisan support to get the laws through the senate. Welcome back to velshi and ruhle. As Congress Returns to work gun reform is at the forefront of the long todo list. Moments ago President Trump said he is in meetings with some senators to come up with something that is, quote, acceptable to everybody as polls show overwhelming support that his administration take some action. Joining me now, a member of the house weighs and means committee, republican representative from new yorks 23trict to reed. Congressman, i havent seen you in a while, welcome back. Always good to be with you. The president wants to do something thats acceptable to everyone. Theres never going to be anything thats acceptable to everyone, i. E. , the nra and gun control advocates. What does that actual look like . Well, you know, i think its a good indication that the president and many of us want to do something on this issue. We care deeply about the situation and the issue of gun violence and maybe theres some Common Ground if you focus on the who solutions, not the what solutions. Making sure that people dont have access to weapons that have shown they dont have the right to a Second Amendment. So something and nothing are next door neighbors. It sounds like to me that youre alluding to the Mental Illness issue. Are you saying we shouldnt do anything about the quantity of guns and guns that are available to people . You know, im a Firm Believer in the Second Amendment. I stand with the freedom of the Second Amendment and i think you can talk on fine Common Ground of those exhibiting psychopathic indications and making sure they dont have access to weapon, people engaging with a criminal activity with a weapon. Do something about solving this problem. So if you were to sit down with family members of those who lost someone from a mass shooting, in the case when a lot of these shooters werent psychopaths what would you say to them . I would say obviously we care deeply about them and we want to do something about this. Anyone who is going to commit a mass shooting, i would challenge the assertion that theyre not a psychopath. To have that mindset demonstrates to me that theres not maenl stability there. Hold on a second. Neither you or i have the medical training to assess whether or not someone is a psychopath. Its a horrible act, but youre in the in a position to say that someone who commits a crime like that is a psychopath, are you. Thats why this would be a difficult path to go down. If you look at it in hindsight yes, adjudicate it. You kill 100 people, 30 people, 20 people in a mass shooting you are a psychopath. I can make that conclusive statement after the fact. Before you commit that act, how could you tell . Thats exactly why this is hard. That is why when you look at shooters like the parkland, nicolas cruz situation, you learn from it. There are indications when psychopaths like that have contact with the system, thats where we have to focus on in trying to prevent them from having access to a weapon. You did say recently that you would not support universal background checks. Why is that . I believe thats too far going down the infringement on law abiding citizens, folks that are not part of the problem. Theyre folks that have the Second Amendment protection and rightfully so. Going down universal background checks to me is a burden on those individuals thats way too far. So if your kids or my kids were in college you wouldnt want every person that theyre in school with to have got somebody sort of background check because hey, if they were a law abiding citizen and allowed to have an ar15 you would be okay with that without them having a background check . If theyre a law abiding indication with no Mental Illness i would be understand that situation and i stand with the Second Amendment and i have a child and i absolutely come at this as a human being, but i also believe in the Second Amendment firmly. All right. Congressman, thank you so much for joining me. Congressman tom reed. Good to be with you. You too. Before we go, i want to share with you a project im very excited about. Its about the times were living in, complicated times. It seals like america has never been more divided. Were seeing friends and families swear off things from politics to pop culture altogether. In washington where were live on capitol hill. Just a few minutes away President Trump faces a number of difficult headlines that all told paints a complicated picture for his 2020 prospects including a slew of new National Polls that show the president s approval below 40 . Economic anxiety appears to be the main factor for those low numbers, but the president doesnt want you to believe those numbers and frankly why should he . National polls did not predict the eventual outcome of 2016.
