Overnight carlesha and her family made it home back to philadelphia just hours after the shocking news friends and family had been playing for. Carlesha freeland has been rescued. Reporter police say the manhunt that spread across five states finally ended in jessup maryland, over 100 miles way from where the crime began. Authorities say a tip led them to a vehicle in a Shopping Center parking lot. When the suspect tried to drive off with the kidnapped 22yearold inside, police surrounded the car. When the subject existed the vehicle, he was app hended and thats when miss freeland was recovered. Reporter the suspect in custody identified as 37yearold Delvin Barnes had six prior violent felony warrants out for his arrest including another kidnapping. Police do not believe barnes as prior to his abduction. Hes a vicious predator and hopefully hell be off the streets for the rest of his life. Reporter the search began after the surveillance video. There was the suspect buying groceries and using carleshas atm 75 miles from where she was taken. I think that the best way if folks are serious about getting Immigration Reform done is go ahead and passing the bill and getting it to my desk and then the executive actions that i take go away. What t president is choosing to do a lot of things unilate l unilaterally would be a big mistake. Its in both of their interests. Lets look at the president first. Hes already being called the lame duck. His staff knows hes only got a couple of months to set the tone for the next two years. Theyre important to his legacy. Theyre important to getting things done for the American People. On the republican side theyre no longer going to have the excuse and point the finger at harry reid and the democrats in the senate. Theyre going to show the congress. You list the things they say theyre going to do. U thing its important to point out the things that ire going to do. The president has said repeatedly by the end of the year, hes going to take some action on that. That was never going to go away. When you talk to the republicans and they say theyre going to vote on repealing obamacare, the ten new senators who were elected, who are republicans all advertise that they were going to come here and push to repeal obamacare. You know, joanni ernest, the on who was going to castrate hogs, she said she had a gun and she was going to take aim at obamacare. I think those things while they may cause tension with some of the new members both sides have a vested interest in seeing how things go forward. Lets see what the tone is tomorrow. I think there is an openness that may be born out of necessity on both sides that they want to see where the areas of Common Ground are. I just want to say one thing, tamara, web the last couple of years in congress are the least productionive. It does not behoove mitch mccome to do it. John ernest was on. He said hes eager to hear from the public but the president is ready to use his veto pen in necessary. It was referred to as numb. It was said he was unrepenitent. The tedline on the today show was a mixed med with the president on how aggressive was he going to be. The goals he wants to accomplish in the next few years. Im talking with senior and white house officials, thats the bansing act, right . Thats politics, hes not going to abandon his base and immigration like hes been forceful on. On the other hand theres going to have to be give and take on both sides and i talked to democrats who wish he had been perhaps a little more admitting of just how much of a shellacking that they took in the midterms. Having said that, i think there is a sense here that there are some things on the president s side that he wants to do that they can get done, a plan to fix crumb bling roads and bridges. Again, those issues are out there of Common Ground. I think tomorrows going to be a really important meeting in setting that tone to see if they can move forward. Thank you very much. Congressman, what do you make of the notion there are mixed messages. Someone made it clear the president is not going to abandon his base. It was noted in his comments yesterday. He heard those who voted and he also heard those who did not. The Largest Group who did not show up, minorities, young people, women, the young people who supported the president and who dont want to see Obamacare Repeal and want to see Immigration Reforms. Will the president protect the base and his agenda . Yeah. I think its going to be balancing act. I didnt necessarily see it as mixed messaging, by the way. On the one hand as he said throughout that press conference, hes going out there every day and trying to make life better for american citizens, period. And where he can work with the republicans, he will. And i thought Mitch Mcconnells tone was a good tone. And i think hes opened the door for that dialogue. You know, we need to be concerned. Just listening to the list of the items that boehner and mcconnell have set as their priorities, you know, when you talk about Corporate Tax reform, thats all well and good, but the American People are worried about the tax pie ler. Theyre worried about that individual whos struggling for a job or who has not seen their pay raised in years. And so basically what weve got to be about the business of doing is doing what the American People have said. Basically what theyre saying in this election as i interpret it, as the government we want you to share in the governing and we want all of you to come together to make our lives better. Thats what its got to be all about. Let me go down the line. Here you have this oped from Mitch Mcconnell and john barren. First up, obamacare. How does that play out . It doesnt play out very well. They might reconsider that. But i uchbs theyve got to let the foges who are new to the senate and congress, thats all well and good. But, again, thats going nowhere fast because we know that obama care is here to stay and the president has said it and made it clear that there may be some tweaking that needs to be done. All well and good. I guess what im asking you is with that oped to your point as you said and the president said, hes not going to veto his own law. Does that then equate to gridlock . Will we see another dozen or so votes regarding health care, which, again, equate a log jam in the house, for example . I think that Mitch Mcconnell is too wise a politician to do what weve done over in the house, to vote over and over and over again on the Affordable Care act. I think what will happen is theyll get their vote and then well move on. I think i just believe that weve got to do those things that are practical. This blame game thing, theyre tired of it. My constituents are totally tired. Absolutely. Let me ask you about Immigration Reform. You have the president before tuesday and the latino voters who are tired of hearing about Immigration Reform but in the News Conferences yesterday, Mitch Mcconnell said its like waving a red flag in front of the bull if the president decides to go it alone. I heard those comments. And if i were Mitch Mcconnell and the president i would say, look, weve got a bill through the senate that is a good bill and its a bill that we can start with. Lets sit down. Lets get that done and get it through. Thats what i would do. I mean thats something that the senate has already agreed on and we can get that done now. So this thing you know, i dare you and redlining and im going redline you, dont cross this line, weve got to get away from that. The American Public is saying get together and make our lives better and thats what its got to be about. You do think its important to redline in some areas . Again, theres a redline in health care. You have to remember we have millions of people who have health insurance, people who have preexisting conditions who now are able to get conditions. Thats not going anywhere.
