This idea of playing to history of trying to meet this moment at an infliction point in the country is one that they believe is whats carried biden to this point. What his closing message was the message he began this campaign with. The idea of trying to restore the soul of america. This battle for the soul of america. And as the Biden Campaign heads into the final seven days they are competing across the board. Playing offense in the blue wall states to win like michigan and wisconsin. Like pennsylvania. Where biden has been more places than anywhere else since the convention. Its a message playing in the suburbs of places like here in atlanta. And also among the core constituents africanamerican voters which biden appealed to directly with his remarks evoking john lewis tonight. Real quick. How concerned or confident is the Biden Campaign about some of the other votes . Hes doing better with white voters. Hes struggling a bit compared to clinton with latino voters. And there is that issue of trump going after black men. How confident are they will hold the Obama Coalition together in michigan and wisconsin. Thats one of the reasons we you are in nebraska. Theres a very key Congressional District there. It is weird as somebody who worked on campaigns to have a republican candidate closing doing part of the Closing Argument in nebraska. What is the Campaign Thinking . Right. Nebraska is a reliablely red state. Hasnt elected a democrat for president since 1964. The reason President Trump is here this part of nebraska neighbors iowa. He comes here and thinks he gets a two fer. Coverage in nebraska and iowa. Its also true that hes trying to keep joe biden from picking off one of five of the states Electoral College votes. The second Congressional District which includes omaha and the surrounding area. Nc1 trump is campaigning. Trump is campaigning. Even though joe biden leads battleground states. The Campaign Says our polls tell a different story. The gop is closing the gap with democrats and voter registration. In pennsylvania and North Carolina and florida. Packing state upon state into one day. Tomorrow hes in arizona. Trying to defend his turf. Mainly states he won in 2016. He won michigan mean a lot comp to the state polling average. Back in 2016, at this point in the race, it was essentially tied within the margin of error. Biden is at that magic number of 50. When you see a republican candidate trying to to do a two fer in the iowa media market. Being in nebraska. Does that tell you that they are right to be so joe biden had a consistent lead for seven or eight months. If you go back to 2016, two weeks ago the gap between clinton and trump was four points. The week out is now as you showed 2. 2. Joe biden was at seven points two weeks ago. He was at seven points six weeks ago. So the point is the voters in large measure have made up their minds. And you still want to turn on out election day. You want to do that. No one should be complacent. This is not the same race. And i think its important for people to understand that again not to get lack days cal. You cant sit in the corner and cower. The dynamics are different. Typically voters of color vote closer to election day. Voters of the color have in large part been day of voters in a will the of states. Its hard to tell. To congress than have ever been there before. He had lost women the largest gender gap since we started recording the gap and so much is on the issues of morality. Empathy. Character. But fst so important to not discount how much women have been radical women. Of all races have been radicalized by this presidency. Just the callousness. If you want to appeal to women, maybe dont joke about a woman governor being threatened by domestic terrorist. Your governor, i dont think she likes me too much,. Im the one it was our people that helped her out with her problem. Well have to see if its a problem. People are entitled to say maybe it was a problem. It was our people, my people. Our people. I think voters first of all are reminded that we have the power to choose who the leader of the country is. Also choose who represents us in congress. And what im going to be conveying to voters is remember, carry this as yet another failure from trump, mcconnell and republicans. To meet your needs in present day. Another failure if you are black, a person of color. A person living with preexisting condition. Or disability. As an attack on civil rights. Carry this with you to the poll and stay motivated to bring three people with you. This is a turn out game. Your vote will decide the civil rights and democracy our nation has. I dont understand how the gop sees it as a political asset. Its not for the women who left of the work force. Black and brown communities who have been affected by covid19 and um employed.
