It is hard to tell at this point. This is a high stakes gamble on part of the president. He had a lot of people nervous. Corporations and some senate republicans, of course, stepping up and standing up against them and condemning the threat of the tariffs. Because of the indications that the u. S. Economy is slowing. The jobs report was weaker than expected is a big red flag for the fed.
