Jackson simpson, ceo of success, and im here to advocate for mr. Andre. Andre has been part of the success in the family for nearly a decade now. And he has helped us to launch so many new initiatives for our reentry population. And largely, they have been in our Training Programs and our transitional programs that have lead to permanent employment. To afford folks that are making a living wage. That is a true festment him as he said been a credible messenger, and thats one of the new initiative in his launching with the District Attorney attorney and with the juvenile department, if it was not noert expertise that there is no way that we would be able to get that program launched and off the ground. And this is part of a National Movement that hails from the folks on the east coast in bringing these initiative to San Francisco to see some systemic change going on. Andre is the first one here every day and the last to leave and has helped to shepherd hundreds of people through training through, transitional employment and into lucrative jobs in the city. Hes proved positive that what he does, what were endeavouring to do is remrikable and sustainable and can help continue the fabric of the city of San Francisco. We encourage him. Hes qualified for three of the positions and qualified for all 3 and we continue to support him through this process. Thank you very much. Thank you for your testimony. Next speaker, please. Speaker morning supervisor my name is andrew, culture district in San Francisco and im here to talk about my colleague jusef and my boy. One word comes to mind, dedication. He tirely learned and thought all of us when things were difficult. He has a supernatural ability to stay calm under pressure and he is always able to be optimistic even when things are hopeless. Jusef has provided that support for me. He wants to provide all the opportunities he had even when all the odds were stacked against him. Supervisors, i dont doubt that he will dedicate that to make that a possibility for everyone who has to reenter and provide hope for those who are hopeless. Thank you. Body worn cameras, third third party commuter cameras by the airport and location Management Systems by the recreation Park Development and said approval. If anyone can give me a hand, my computer is beeping. Should we wait . Pull the plug, victor, pull the plug. While our clerks computer is making that super annoying sound, a couple of weeks ago, we heard a number of policies and had some comments on a handful of others that are before us today. I want to thank those departments ranging from the airport to the department of elections to the recreation [dropped connection] and those are amendments that i have handed to you that i would like to vote on todays subject to Public Comment. There is one other policy which i had some serious concerns with. Having to do with the spotery application used for tennis Court Reservations which i would like to suggest where a Third Party App gets financial profit. That has not been prepared by the City Attorney but i would like that amendment to be prepared. And with that, i say we have, not a representative, we have the head of department of elections mr. John arts. The red line that you sent looks great, we got an ordinance here that incorporates those changes. Youre welcome to say anything, you want. Unless you take your changes back. No, well keep them. Just emphasize, were now regarding any content streaming and well make the notice on the department and on our website so people know this. Sometimes we want surveillance, sometimes we dont want surveillance, this was an interesting one. Thank you. Ms. Hayward, anything you want to add or subtract . No . Ms. Ing on behalf of rec and park, were good with the Body Worn Camera on what you sent and incorporated in these ordinance, and i cannot speak for my colleagues but im not comfortable with the spotery tennis reservation, but i encourage you to go or make or find an application that does not get peoples information for nonprofit or not for profit. Thank you, i heard little bitsz and pieces of it. I did ask coy if they had apps, but were happy to see what we can figure out can koit to see what is possible. Deputy City Attorney, it seems that you were itching. Yes, deputy City Attorney, still in draft and have not been as performed. I just figured that they were ready to go but we learn something then. Next week . Yes, we can talk about the draft amendment, we can talk about the draft amendment right now or next week. Clerk yes, item number 8, administrative code of funding a kissing and use of certain policy Department Equipment approval and approving the Department Police department use of department policy. Thank you, mr. Clerk. Colleagues the Police Department has asked us to continue this item for a week, it is actually pretty fascinating. Ive been reading over the weekend some other municipalities adoption of military equipment policy and encourage you all to do so as well. And maybe ill even add those mr. Young to the file so everybody can see them and look at what other municipalities are doing. And i will be meeting with the Police Department again later this week and did so last weekend, suggested a number of changes particularly around authorized uses and purpose. And the City Attorney just realized that there is already a 96g in the code and therefore today i would like to offer an amendment to change all references of 96g to 96h and change all references to of 96j. 1 to 96h. 1 so i like to make a motion to have that all encompassing that they will have ready for us next week, but i think we can do that right now. No worry, thank you, chair peskin. I just want to, since that, this is in the committee, i just wanted to say publicly i have some concerns about the policies and actually got some clarification for what i understand is that were actually approving the existing inventory of what we already have . Were not saying, which is there are actually 14 categories what were approving is 9 out of that 14 which is what we currently already seeing in customer or we already have them in our inventory and our Police Department. So were just approving the existing ones and moving forward. And with that, said that my then, sort of shifting my concern and i thank you for the continuance that allowed me a little bit more time, is i would like to moving forward one understand a bit more about the annual report that the Police Department will be committing to the board. Supervisor the information that will include im interested to seeing the frequency of use and the actual employment and the purpose of those deployments and the results of those deployments of the equipment. So those are my concerns that i have yet to actually articulate to the Police Department so i appreciate a little bit more time to allow me to communicate those to me and to see whether or not we can have amendments or that we already will be included in the an actual report, thank you. Thank you, supervisor chan. And and what motion to amendment. On the motion to meaned. Supervisor chan. Aye. Manned delman. Aye. Mandelman, aye. Chair peskin. Aye. Motion passes. And the to continue the matter. Supervisor chan. Aye. Vice chairman delman. Aye. Chair peskin. Aye. Motion passes without objection. And we are adjourned. I am iris long. We are a Family Business that started in San Francisco chinatown by my parents who started the business in the mid 1980s. Today we follow the same footsteps of my parents. We source the teas by the harvest season and style of crafting and the specific variety. We specialize in premium tea. Today i still visit many of the farms we work with multigenerational farms that produce premium teas with its own natural flavors. It is very much like grapes for wine. What we do is more specialized, but it is more natural. Growing up in San Francisco i used to come and help my parents after school whether in middle school or high school and throughout college. I went to San Francisco state university. I did stay home and i helped my parents work throughout the summers to learn what it is that makes our community so special. After graduating i worked for an Investment Bank in hong kong for a few years before returning when my dad said he was retiring. He passed away a few years ago. After taking over the business we made this a little more accessible for visitors as well as residents of San Francisco to visit. Many of our teas were traditionally labeled only in chinese for the older generation. Today of our tea drinkkers are quite young. It is easy to look on the website to view all of our products and fun to come in and look at the different varieties. They are able to explore what we source, premium teas from the providence and the delicious flavors. San francisco is a beautiful city to me as well as many of the residents and businesses here in chinatown. It is great for tourists to visit apsee how our community thrived through the years. This retail location is open daily. We have minimal hours because of our small team during covid. We do welcome visitors to come in and browse through our products. Also, visit us online. We have minimal hours. It is nice to set up viewings of these products here. Hi. Im alita fisher running for San Francisco board of edu
