To stay tuned on the website as we make more and more progress lets just this in the super bowl city and the nfl will be posted were looking at 9 days of events in downtown San Francisco they will be textbook to twelve hours along longing and free to the public super bowl city is free and the nfl is a ticket event but they have all this in common their meant to be something for the region and the country ill go date by date how that unfolds but some of the key components in those fence with games activations and get toe meet the nfl heros in the past and present and things for children and for diehard nfl fans and shops the hours of those two events are pretty similar in midday to evening to the nfl experience will be starting at tension on sunday and 3 00 oclock other days super bowl city is 10 or 11 oclock in the morning theyll change well working closely with the committee that whether there is concerts this night or that night but the power point of this slide were doing this definitely to make sure the events kick in and go into the night so commuters and visitors how may not be interested in the nfl experienced of super bowl city want to go to some of the restaurants or fun activities will stay until 8 oclock or 9 oclock at night the Host Committee is our partners but we know that between january 30th and february 7th those events happy with a mix of focus on the bay area in the first week and wednesday or thursday is the International Super bowl host event in both cities in the country a concert we know about that will be on saturday night at park i understand more concerts are planned but what is helpful when you talk about the Transportation Services ill highlight here the way that we provide the service matches the programming as we get the details from the host super bowl city is the event people heard about in the chronicle a Market Street festival and it includes little justin plaza within barbara hale and the Ferry Building going to Market Street and from washington to the embarcadero youll see this cultivation in the middle of the street and people coming and going i have to nullification how important safety has been in all this planning especially, after paris and we gather were being smart about an event a safe event that requires a degree of screening and control of the crowd ill talk about that later the nfl experience that is a 2ib8g9 event that has for people that love the nfl and want to meet old stars or current stars oust and games for children and baseball experiences this is in Moscone Center so the boundary are between third street and 4th street what we do with oracle or other events this occupies this real estate this map is faded on the screen youll see the streets that are accommodate are Market Street between the Ferry Building and arena washington to the other street and the south west that block of howard between third street and 4th street the fundamental basis for the transportation as the Host Committee designed those our challenge and responsibility to make sure we accommodate every medians of transportations or for people that want to get to work so with that, these dates become important i talked about the 30th of the starting date and on the 7 that is the day of the big game there is construction and set up time this is the actual week around january if the construction of of us those fun treasures at Market Street or Moscone Center and ant shorter on to february 12th to the transportation challenge is not just for those 9 days of events but the whole book ends january to february period we again have to emphasize how important safety is in all of that a lot of the drills are making sure that any one of those events a big day or construction day were managing the caucus under safety first so that goes into the themes of the transit themes our transportation objectives we have to keep the city save and secure and insuring not only foyer visitors and football fans but people doing their. repeated. the constitution of the united states. Work so we do make this a transit first, we have a big party and want people to come not with their cars well make the option plentiful and well neon were working with muni but with the region all the muni lines operating downtown will run the e line we found tenors to every line at the terminal theyre at or close well working closely with the regional providers you think of bart and caltrans and the ferry like to remind all of us there are regional operators on the streets that are just as important as the local Muni Services so we work with the golden gate transit and other transit and capital corridor to make sure they get around and our transit streets were designing they call get to similar terminals now out of the parking a bit of the graphics that show how that works we found detour routes east west to get around super bowl city and stay out of the way of the buses the buses needs primarily operation thats. Way we hope people are getting to and from the city the water marks the drop subject to change that is a piece of planning that gets more and more detailed as we go along the snapshot is important, important the basics with the super bowl city and the nfl experience the red lines indicate the transit only streets that helps is people bringing the visitor to make the connections and some of the member of the public lines are called out this is Emergency Vehicle streets the streets restored for ambulances, fire engines and the police and regional streets the partners will be sharing on top of that map we relied the traffic to go northsouth through the embarcadero on the western side of the soma those traffic route will be managed by a parking control officers that worked with sfpd and local access on the centers for the throw traffic from the north part of the city or the parts of San Francisco we designed this to support the traffic to circulate so the plans that are underway ive distinctive a snapshot of the traffic the transit and local transit and Emergency Vehicle access working from that to have the bike circulation and pedestrian circulation important for people to walk to the terminals so we crossed those with the super bowl city and the detailed maps i encourage you watching on tv or listening to stay tuned to the marketing and outreach to keep people up to date and for the disabled for the riding zones much like 9 americas cup with the preferential access and taxis have that access theyre aware of need for the tdm like uber and others to make sure their planned with r and not conflicting on top of that overriding message of safety we recognize that thrives need to happen and people need elevators theyll be theyll be allowed to super bowl city well sweep those vehicles to make sure theyre safe but we encourage all the deliveries and this is part of our message especially with the downtown employers and residents encourage the deliveries before 10 00 a. M. Because the big events happen after that that this comes down to the Public Information on point and rolling out as accurately and correctly as possible were right now now the basic steps the traffic is in place the more detailed information coming out this month i have one more big meeting is nailg down the option whether the residents or commuters and were working line by line to make sure overseeing locations are nailed down and theyre well marketed to people that make a choice in the contracosta alameda and by january all in place before january 23rd when we start to notice the changes so as ive suggested to finalize im working closely with the committee theyre an important partner in being your liaison to the nfl and which night is the biggest night and match the services and then, of course, the outreach that is working closely with the mayor and appreciate the cammy offices and theyre doing a wonderful job hosting a blog and tying the information to the Host Committee so with that, im available to answer any questions. Thank you, mr. Albert excellent presentation members of the public. None has indicated an interest. Thank you next mr. Albert good presentation this has caused concern amongst our customers you have a good handle on this and glad you reminded people weve been dealing successfully with the transportation changes with event like this and ill remind people that we use the streets for Different Things for a lot of Different Things we close them for oracle conventions another example of a longer way and again, i really am confident and hope we can minimize the disruption to our service bus rider do we have a plan to ramp up if we need to if we see you know day one has a problem well address that on day two and, etc. , etc. To ramp up the success through the week. Through the chair thats the pattern we vemthd in the plan we did a debriefly to figure out where our projections and people were putting in the parking control officers and the transit routes are staged and been assessed with the debriefs with a better tomorrow that i was combrelsz we get the San Francisco bay area focused in the middle the week and get to nailed down before the visitors show up in the middle of the week. Im sure that will bring spending and poem into San Francisco i assume it will be revenue neutrality to our agency and at least coming back from the general fund an interest in spending, etc. , etc. I dont know we know that to be honest but there will be costs the agency will incur with the traffic manage and other Subway Service so certainly the economy will get a bump from the hosting of the super bowl here and as weve seen each time when the citys economy dos dont well, we cant predict that the predictions for the americas cup turned out to be aloof were tracking our costs alcohol in the ends know what we spend and in time well know what the enact to the economy but as peter said this is the kind of work we do in support of the large events the citys Transportation Agency and fortunate good experience to rely on to do better than we did last time. Thank you very much it is a good report and to echo what director reiskin said this is absolutely something we should support as our overall role and a good chance to show off our super bowl Transportation System on that i want to focus on the specifics i understood the presentation during the life the super bowl city market and mission both close end to the city will be transit only is that the jest of the plan. Peter through the chair yeah thats correct it is approaching the mission and downtown because of the need for mission to carry otherwise on Market Street. To clarify the last two blocks of Market Street will have no traffic unmuni or otherwise fully closed to no traffic. And Mission Transit only on the blocks corresponding to where this is nothing. Director reiskin said Market Street is closed to everything but pedestrians. And then i think you alluded to the transit will include taxicabs or from yrgs. Were looking at the loading zones with the access into the muni uber and lyft and the sidecar dont thats part of what were talking about finishing at the end of this month. Im sorry one point how much work has gone into the planning of curve space with taxis is the the loading zones that are also have great interest to Emergency Vehicles and for super bowl city were working if a more calibrate picture than im describing every linear foot of main and market and even other were on and on strategically of the can be and paratransit and the back operations. The life of this plan is 9 days; is that correct. Actually, the events are 9 days but the impacts from january 23rd to february 12th maybe more than two weeks thats all because of staging that and sort of thing and the structures in the middle of Market Street. Thank you. Thank you, very much. I want to clarify the f line is unaffected. So how is it going to get ohio. Im glad you called that out the castro is concerned ill make a point part of hypocrite of all of this is helping visitors know there is so much more to downtown encouraging people to go to chinatown and other sections this is part of the package the f is an important line with the castro and the plan for the f were sort making the final touches south from the Ferry Building to the loop to the Fishermans Wharf it meets and affirming and embarcadero and it continues to bus up to the castro. I guess there is no way to do some of the f line along the way from the castro to a certainty point. We looked at the briefly the challenge the only place for the f line to pull out it stops all of Market Street at the frequency it stops all the traffic to get out of sub end. So that temporary f line runs frequency. Yes. It is more importantly than normal thats part of reign were not running the e line. And well run incorporate m and t line. Were planning to run the metro where we have a lighter service and the model of at t park we will run extra change as a surface operations that are somewhat rerouted by what happens here. What else to educate the public and the notification because of street enclosures. There is an Ambitious Campaign ill invite up my colleague to talk about thank you for all you do and it is incredible and a great opportunity i love to focus on this people can get to other parts of the city and the candidates to super bowl were pushing people to other parts of the city to watch the game and sfmta has a partnered with the restaurant ending during that weekend of the super bowl with the focus of taking advantage of that activity. Thank you. Good afternoon. Good afternoon candice with sfmta in terms of our communications and outreach plans for super bowl obviously were working with the Host Committee to make sure the plan focuses on fans coming out the city and over plan focused on that as well as people that live and work in the city and so as you can see on the slide that we have a number of different groups were thinking about we are starting to help people understand what to expect that started last month just before the holiday to start to set the stage for what is to come and using the standard channels to do that our website and blog on sfgovtv. Org were also starting to do outreach so a number of groups have starting to reach out how their impacted directly so in cooperation with the Host Committee were doing the outreach hand in hand and it is sponsorly weve been talking about it but more specific information on that was presented by he passport and coming out with more details so also this month as we have more details well be pushing that out through the standard channels the main one i want to talk about our email and text alert were asking people to sign up if theyre interested in this topic specifically well let them know information on a regular basis it will be there but people deeply do interested delivered to theyre in box and then as we get closer to the event in january we will be coming out with those specific details that people need to plan their trip so people who are effected by muni they need to go downtown we come out with the specific reroutes thats the basic plan we can go into more detail and i assume the reroutes i threatening mean there are several theyve be posting in advance of the regular riders sufficient maps of the reroute is that fair to assume. A pretty substantial program both important transit as well as for pedestrians and for bikes and some of the pedestrians and bike information will be coming out later but we know from our reach that most customers get a lot of their information on the streets at the bus centers or the location their macro their decision we are presenting for way finding to be a specific part. With the businesses within a certain footage of where the street enclosures we know there is notice for other kiefsz things i was wondering if they post a design on the spot and some outreach. Some of that from the Host Committee with the adjacent businesses that outreach has been take advantage is our understanding and well be following with address outreach for the transportation closer. A. And how do people sign up. Good to sfgovtv. Org and right blow the transit box a place to sign up when you click that box it excuses for our email you can choose from a large about his list of choices and subscribe to youre line or the update he prefer but you can sign up for super bowl alert it appears on this list. Do you want to go. Look you guys thought about all of this a grateful effort it is appreciated and showing in the plan this is a great chance to show off the city ill make one small point i think especially an event natural for the visitors to turn to taxis and taxi drivers i realize there are some courses within that industry and some south in the industry ill make a request we partner with the industry to get their input how to best serve and give them the information it is natural for the visitors to ask the taxi drivers how this works and i think this is a good time for us to show off that industry in the city and partner with them as ambassadors for the city i know we are going to have muni ambassadors and super bowl ambassadors. Theres a program called my sf to learn about the city to educate the tourists if you want a certification it is a way for taxi drivers and others to learn about San Francisco and super bowl questions and ask and things like that ill recommend that is a great way to kind of you know fresh up on the skills and the taxi drivers to be a resource to come to know about the whole city and dennis and everyone asked all the good questions i have one the evenings shut down. The evening shut down are ending at
