Officials have identified the pilot as 41yearold Jacob Rosenberg of spring valley. For the Coast Guard Auxiliary when it went down in a field in cresskill yesterday afternoon. He and his passenger injured. Both men are expected to survive. Ntsb investigators are working the crash. New details on a deadly fire in new jersey. Investigators have ruled the death of a couple and their two young sons found in a burning home a murder suicide. Firefighters found the bodies of 35yearold linden b. Hairy, 29yearold Amanda Morris and their two sons, 4yearold brian and 7yearold brandon in a second floor bedroom in long branch wednesday. Investigators believe he shot morris and their children and turned the gun on himself after setting fire to their home. Detectives are still piecing together the details of a shootout. The shootout happened on jefferson between evergreen and bushwick avenues in bushwick. Dray clark with the latest. Neighbors say it sounded like the wild wild west as police faced off with a suspect who would not back down until he was put down with a bullet. The gunfire started at 1 14 this morning, all of it captured on this home summers camera. Dozens of shots in rapid succession exchanged between police and a 27yearold suspect that police say was using this 40 caliber handgun. It was very scary. We rolled off the bed and we stayed down. It seemed like it was right outside our window. Two officers in plain clothes riding in an Unmarked Police car rushed to the 1200 block of madison avenue where a 52yearold man had been shot in the arm. The victim described the shooter to the officers, and jefferson and bushwick avenue fire. This picture shows where one of unmarked car. At first i thought it was fire crackers, and it was probably like 15, 20 gunshots. Dozens of shots fired. The shell casings spreading over multiple blocks, and when it finally ended, the officers were left standing but the suspect was lying on the ground, shot in the leg. And it smelled. Neighbors say violence is not new to bushwick but this time was different, so many bullets landing so very close to home. I couldnt believe how long it was going on. It just kept coming, kept coming. I was like is this really happening. And that 27yearold suspect was taken to kings county hospital where at last check hes listed in stable condition and in police custody. Two couples have shown up for licenses. All but one worker at the Clerks Office planned to uphold the law. It feels very comfortable outside. Even though these clouds could hang around for much of the afternoon, the haziness to the atmosphere. The cameras already bouncing. Theres a little breeze which adds to the comfort. Were currently at 80. Winds are calm at central park and the pressure is on the rise. A front came through here and has changed the winds really to the northeast, and so thats going to keep us cool for the rest of the afternoon, normal high is 80. As far as clouds go, a nice patchy in monmouth county, union beach, sandy hook, some of these spots are cloud free for now. Theyve got a little bit of haze, none of the heavy clouds hanging over. As we go throughout the afternoon, consider yourself lucky if you get the clouds parting and a nice little sun break. Other spots could see sprinkle south and east of the city as we get through the afternoon. High pressure builds in, hack to beautiful tomorrow, sunshine and beautiful conditions. It began when four girls in a car got into an argument with a worker at the mcdonalds on louisiana. Police say one of the girls, 17 yearold Kaitlyn Holland grabbed the 16yearold victim. She pulled her through the small window and punched her several times. The suspect then posted a video of the incident online. Holland and three other girls were promptly arrested. A California Family comes home and heres some rattling from the window sill, an unusually long rattlesnake made its way into the house, possibly when the family was loading the car earlier and left the front door open.
