Has reopened a short time ago after it was under investigation for hours here after a wild sequence of events that left two people hospitalized after it started with a car crash around 11 40 last night. This is in patchogue after he lead police on a chase in a stolen truck. It started with the car accident in holtsville near eastbound exit 62 on the l. I. E. The driver that caused the accident fled the scene on foot running down to the service road. Police say either he was chased by possibly the other driver or someone else, a witness perhaps. But that person running after the suspect was then hit and the victim was seriously injured. The exact condition of the victim is unknown. Then the suspect goes into a yard where he steels a tractor trailer, drives through a fence and leads police on the wild chase on route 112 until he ultimately crashes the trailer into a utility pole. After that. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. Again, the victim who was struck by the car in the hospital. The suspect is in the hospital.
