So were 31 degrees warmer. 54 to easthampton. So this warm air is creating fog. 7 mile visibility at white plains. Youll see in spots, look at thats sussism, even to summer set. Take your time if you are heading out because of that fog. 4 32 and developing overnight, another possible subway attack. This time, the weapon is a needle. The Police Commissioner has a warning for subway riders. Dray . Reporter good morning. Police are looking for a man in his 40s that may be connected to the most recent subway attack at Seventh Avenue and 49th street in the heart of midtown. The victim, a 37yearold woman says she was going through the turn style last night around 7 00 when she felt a slight poke. She took a look at her right shoulder and saw a puncture wound. She went to the hospital and was told she may have been poked with a needle. Meanwhile, Police Released a sketch of this man who is accused of attacking a man who woke up to find a manned the man. He is wanted for another attack on the c train that happened on sunday night. After 10 stabbings and slashings so far, the nypd is increasing patrols and they are ordering you to wake up sleeping passengers because more than half involve passengers that are sleeping. Subways are not sleeping. I know a lot of people are tired and work hard, but our officers are going to be ininstructed to start waking people up. I think its good that the involved. I think its risky to wake someone up when they are sleeping, but its a lot safer. Im not too worried about it. The new pictures of the east river streetcar. Good morning, mallory. Reporter lori, good morning. Were standing in one of the most congested areas in brooklyn. The mayor says his goal is to ease up transportation. The projected costs to do that, 2. 5 billion. I want you to take a look right now at these renderings. It shows where we are standing. This is what the proposed streetcar line would look like. Because the project would operate on city streets, its not expected to need state approval, meaning it would not require the blessing of and west and this would provide a north south. This connector would run from sunset park to astoria, queens. It would run along the east river connecting the subways, ferries, bus routes and city bike stations. The three cars would travel 12 miles per hour, a trip between there and brooklyn would take 27 minutes. From what we understand, the project will wrap up in 2024. An eighth Grade Student from new jersey claims Undercover Police officers roughed him up for no reason and dislocated his shoulder. 14yearold Jamod Watkins was leaving a bodega when several cars with lights approached him. The teen says he ran because wees frightened. Moments later, the officers caught up to him. Ground, pulled my arm back. My arm popped, and then they picked me up and threw me on the car, put me in handcuffs. Watkins says the officers never identified themselves and never even showed a badge. He also says when he asked for medical attention, the officers left him in the middle of the street. Internal affairs is trying to determine if it was newark officers involved in the incident. Police are looking for a team of gun toting robbers who are targeting Cell Phone Stores in the bronx. In the past two weeks, they have hit two stores getting away with cash and phones. One store was on west tremont avenue and the other on white plains road. One case, they kicked the clerk in the face before leaving the store. That creates some issues overnight for tomorrow, which well talk about. So the fog burns off and the temperature drops a little bit. Well hit our High Temperature right now at 58. You have the level of the clouds thats midway of the buildings on up. The pressure is falling to yesterdays high 59 degrees. It low 28. So were at 58 with 38 degrees warmer for this time of the year. So the rain is tapering off of the showers in long island. Clouds are clinging today. Well look at rain and snow for pardons of the area. Then colder and stormy next week. 56 around sayerville. 57 wrightstown. Numbers to the north 50 around monticello. 56 around poughkeepsie. Should be 27 here, 17 here, and 12 here. So its way warm with the southwest wind and warm air that is surging up. Visibility, as you see, 7 mile visibility at white plains airport. Always a tough spot with the fog, but darker shades is where the fog is really thick. Morristown reporting a. 3 of a mile visibility. You have a 2mile visibility at islip. So the visibility forecast as we go through the morning is we are to stay around a mile at morristown as we go through the morning commute. You see we really clear out as we go through the day. No airport delays are showing up anywhere with that fog, by the way. So today, we are looking at a few showers here in eastern morris county, Suffolk County. Bridgeport out toward new haven to groton. Behind that, weve got clear skies. Before that gets here, there is a slug of moisture that comes up tonight. Were looking at temperatures that start to drop. They are not dropping a whole lot. By the time we get to 4 00, were seeing 53, 54 degrees. Here comes this rain tonight. The rain hugs the coast. You see the temperatures are dropping, and then overnight, this is going to change to snow for the morning commute right at the coast. Right at the coast. So were looking at a trace to an inch of heavy, wet snow from the city could be 1 to 3 inches of very heavy, wet snow toward the east end. So we are looking at a few flakes tomorrow morning from the city east and jersey shore. Then tomorrow afternoon, the suns out, and we have a gorgeous weekend. Well have a lot of sunshine. Temperature is 46 on saturday. 48 and mostly sunny on sunday. Well look at the snow for tuesday. Well keep an eye on that. Will we talk about it in a negative way like maybe it wont happen . Coming up on Eyewitness News this morning, a man is thrown from his truck during a wild police chase, but the crash doesnt stop him from trying to get away.
