Reporter good morning, it was a really close call for this clerk who put up the fight of his life, those robbers fired two shots before fleeing this conner store last night, it happened at the copper grocery here on new lots avenue in East New York, look at this video, from inside the store, you can see the clerk struggling with one of the robbers who has a gun pointed in his face. The robber fires two shots and both of the men take off out the door. This happened after 11 inside the Grocery Store. One man emptys the cash drawer, the other keeps the gun focused on the cleg. The clerk decides to put up a struggle and fight back, the robber fires at hims hitting him twice. The 35 year old clerk was hit in the happened and the hip. The suspects did flee in a black honda. The clerk was taken to brook dale where he is listed in stable condition this morning. Police are now looking for those two men. Anyone with information is asked to call crime stoppers. Developing in jersey citying as suspect accused of stealing a car is in the front of a police station. Officers tried to pull over the suspect after they say he stole the car from a nearby parking lot. He crashed in to a Police Cruiser and other parked cars in front of the jersey city South District precinct. The drive ran out of the car when engine caught fire and later caught. One officer was hurt but expected to be okay. A 32 year old man is dead after four nypd officers shot him sunday morning. Police say they approached the man after they noticed he had an open container in queens. Family identified the man as George Tillman from maryland.
