Tsarnaevs lawyers are hoping a new Supreme Court ruling can help convince the judge to grant a new trial. The defense team says the Supreme Court ruling requires that 15 of his convictions be tossed out, but they say those 15 counts likely influence the jurys decision to impose the Death Penalty on other counts. Therefore, they argue tsarnaev should get another chance at the penalty phase. Tsarnaev will not be at the Court Hearing in boston today. Hes at a super max prison in colorado. Jahar and his brother, tamerlan, planted bombs in 2013 and killed four people.
