Two cars collided just before 3 00 this morning at roosevelt boulevard and fox street. Were working to get more information about the victims and the cause of this accident. Also new from overnight, Philadelphia Police are investigating an assault in center city. This happened at 15th and market streets. The victim was taken to hahnemann hospital. Within the last 30 minutes, the Philadelphia Fire Department has returned to an auto body shop after we spotted a flareup there at the scene of last nights fire. Nbc 10s matt delucia is live in frankford. When you were there earlier, it looked like a calm scene. We saw just a little while ago there are more hot spots. Reporter firefighters are back at the scene. Im going to step out of the way. They have arrived and are back inside. Weve been moved back a little bit because of the firefighting effort. A source tells me its the third time this has happened since last night. A tough fire indeed. Take a look at this video from skyforce 10, inten flames coming from this building. It took about an hour to get it under control. Now were told a garage here contained ten or more race cars. No one was hurt and fortunately, despite the strength of this fire it did not spread down the block. A firehouse is just up the street from here. The firefight this morning are crediting the quick thinking of a neighbor who lives close by and several ran outside to see what was happening last night. There was smoke everywhere. We came out the house and looked down, it was like, whoa. It was just like an inferno, up in flames. And back out here live on the scene, again we did see small flames and told police out here who then called the Fire Department back to the scene, you see them working again. Several members of the Philadelphia Fire Department are facing disciplinary action in an alleged sex scandal. Weve learned some of the employees are Leaders Within the department. The Firefighters Union says four employees are accused of having sex with a paramedic. Three others are accused of sexual harassment. According to Union Officials theyve only seen an edited version of the citys investigative report and they want a complete one. The Mayors Office has not yet commented on this case. In the absence of a fraternization policy having an offduty consensual relationship is no business of the Fire Department. The sale of the former revel casino could possibly be in jeopardy after an Appeals Court ruling in philadelphia. The court sided with nightclub owners at revel saying they could not be stripped of theirju rights in the bankruptcy sale. The clubs owners fear they could lose their 16 million investment. Meantime, the florida developer set to buy the property has said that the nightclub issues could force him to back out of the deal. Earlier this week, two young girls on their way to school fell through a hole in a sidewalk in trenton. A 15yearold boy in Montgomery County is suspected of having the disease. His case has not been confirmed yet. Still, local day cares in that area are taking extra precautions because kids cant be vaccinated until they are at least a year old. In the week of this measles scare, doctors say part of their job is to educate parents about the benefits of vaccinations. We try our best to work with parents, convince them educate them of the benefit and minimal risk of these vaccines. Five infants tested positive for the disease this week. None of these cases have been connected to the outbreak in disneyland. Parents by the way can have their kids opt out of vaccinations for schools in pennsylvania new jersey and delaware, all three states permit refusals if its based on religious beliefs. A food inspector report from october shows that rosas restaurant was cited for hand washing violations. A month later, a worker tested positive for hepatitis a.
