Patrol car to escape the scene. Police eventually fond the abandoned cruiser and reportedly captured marvin banks. Curtis banks is still on the run. Also, overnight, we learned the names of the officers killed. They have been identified as Benjamin Deen and liquori tate. Now to breaking news out of philadelphia. Two teenagers are in the hospital after a shooting on south street and police are investigating if theres a possible connection to the shooting of a third teen nearby. Nbc 10s jesse gary is live on south street at one of the crime scenes with more details. Reporter rosemary weve been able to learn that the two victims here on south street were both hit in the legs. They are both at Jefferson Hospital, in stable condition, this as the search for the person who pulled the trigger continues. Continues. Dozens of Police Officers and detectives responded to this area around 1 15 this morning. Investigators canvassed the area, collect bullet casings and other evidence from the sidewalk and under parked cars. Police say a pair of teenage boys were shot in the area of 7th to 9th streets along south street. A 17yearold and 16yearold both in serious condition at Jefferson Hospital. While Police Responded to that gunfire, another shooting a short distance away at bainbridge at 9th street. Police say this area attracts people from all over the region. This was no unusual night. South street is a very busy street, especially in warmer months. The third street victim is also a young man. Hes in stable condition a couple streets away at the hospital. Anyone with information is asked to call police as they search for whoever pulled the trigger. Happening now, runners and walkers are assembling for the susan g. Komen race for the cure. Youre looking live at the benjamin parkway that will be packed. A survivors parade of pink will kick off the races. Registration is going on right now. Opening ceremonies are at 7 00 and then the race begins at 8 15. We had some new information this morning out of delaware county, where police say a father accidentally killed his teenage son in a crash. According to investigators, the 17yearold boy was standing near the garage at the familys house. Authorities say the father lost control of his car and slammed into his son. Neighbors tell us the teen was crushed against the garage wall. Neighbors say he was an Upper Darby High School student and had a twin sibling. Nbc 10 was outside of the house last night where friends and Community Members officered support to the family. Upper darby officials expressed their condolences for what theyre calling a tragic accident. In allentown, a baby boy has died from his injuries nearly a week after his mother allegedly threw him from a bridge. Witnesses say Johnesha Perry threw zymeir perry in and then jumped in herself. No charges will be filed in fridays deadly duck boat accident in philadelphia. Police say 68yearold Elizabeth Karnicki was crossing the street in chinatown friday afternoon when the ride the ducks vehicle struck and killed her. This twister touched down near Cheyenne County colorado yesterday. Storm chasers captured these shots. The tornado hit a mostly rural area and there were no reports of any injuries. Not the case in texas. One person is dead there. Several others are hurt after these tornadoes swept through the region. This one was spotted near the town of cisco, texas. At least two tornadoes touched down in the northern part of the state yesterday, leaving a path of destruction behind. We have a busy day in the middle part of our country. We had southern plains, we had those severe storms we had snow in the northern plains, and also tracking the Tropical Storm just off the southeast coast. For us were relatively quiet. We have that fog, just like we did yesterday. Were waking up to foggy conditions waking up to clouds across the area. Its warm and humid. Temperatures mainly in the 60s. It will be hot once again later on this afternoon, and were waking up warmer compared to this time yesterday. Yesterday we woke up warm. Its 3 degrees warmer in philadelphia, 9 degrees warmer in lancaster, and 6 degrees warmer in northeast philadelphia than just 24 hours ago. Mainly putting us in the mid to upper 60s as you step out this morning for your morning jog. Its feeling like 61 in allentown, 63 in lancaster, 63 in Atlantic City, as well as wildwood and 63 in millville, new jersey. Futurecast well see that fog finally burning off this morning, hanging on a little tougher at the shore points. By this afternoon, the sunshine breaking through and that humidity in place. Passengers say they are frustrated and angry after their British Airways flight was diverted to philadelphia and they were stuck here for hours. The flight was headed from london to new york late friday night when fog forced it to land at Philadelphia International airport. After the plane landed it sat on the runway for three hours, until the airline finally canceled the flight altogether. Passengers then spent another three hours waiting in a hallway for customs to open. Many of them including actor jeremy piven of the tv show and new movie, entourage, took to social media to share their frustration. The British Airways diversion was not planned and customs usually opens at 5 00 a. M. The passengers eventually got on buses and trains and headed to new york. Some breaking news overseas that were watching. Several people are dead after a shooting in northern switzerland. Neighbors heard the shots late last night. When police arrived, they found several people dead, both inside and outside of the house. All the victims were adults. Authorities are working to identify those victims and learn more about the shooting. As soon as we get some info we will pass it along. Hundreds of migrants have arrived in italy after being rescued from the mediterranean sea. Four german ships dropped off 400 of those migrants this morning. The number of people risking the journey from north africa has risen in recent weeks. In fact, just last month, more than 800 migrants died during a shipwreck in the mediterranean. A Police Officer killed when a driver going the wrong way hit his patrol car has been laid to rest in pennsylvania. Officers remembered the officer. Hundreds of residents, colleagues, and police from neighbors communities lined the street or took part in the funeral procession. Today is the first day of a threeday, 225mile bike ride for dozens of members of Law Enforcement from south jersey. Its called the rode to hope and it raises money for families of fallen Police Officers. Ive worked in the medical field and ive worked in Early Childhood education as well and i always wanted to be a nurse, so i thought i was going to go back to Nursing School but instead i found occupational therapy. And after two interviews shes landed a job. But graduates may have to apply online to dozens of companies, according to this business professional. Job prospects are middle ground. Philadelphia and the area are kind of dwarfed by new york and washington, d. C. Reporter most grads we talked to admit navigating some professions are tricky while other believes the their colleges reputation. Even though the economy is not its best at the moment because that im graduating from harcum as a hygienist, im very confident that ill be able to get a job. Talking weather now. This morning Tropical Storm ana is close to making landfall in the carolinas. This by the way, is time lapsed video for myrtle beach from yesterday. As you can see, it shows the storm clouds moving in and that rough surf. Experts say the biggest threat posed by the seasons first Tropical Storm, were not even in the season appears to be the dangerous surf and those rip tides. Right now, both north and South Carolina are under a Tropical Storm warning. Ana, by the way, could come ashore later on this morning. Well keep you posted. All right. Were seeing reduced visibilities in some spots, down to a quarter mile. Warm and humid, temperatures already into the 60s. Were looking at a really nice end to our workweek. Down to a quarter mile in wilmington as well as millville and down to five miles in lancaster. Doing much better the further away you go from the coast. Right now, were looking at temperatures may know in the 60s. We have the clouds in place once again. As we go throughout time here were going to see at least the chance for popup showers, possibly a popup thunderstorm. Right now, were dealing with that morning fog on radar. Future weather showing us as we go throughout time humidity is in place and warmth is in place. The chance for a popup shower. Very isolated. Most of us wont see them but some of us have the chance for seeing those storms. More fog forms and well see another soupy day and that will give us a chance for more isolated showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon hours. Today, that morning fog will burn off slowly and then well see some sunshine. Partly cloudy skies, a few showers, 82 to 85. Winds out of the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Tomorrow, another warm day, warmer than today, mostly cloudy skies, a chance for a few showers and a few thunderstorms. 86 degrees. And even warmer on tuesday, 88. On tuesday, partly sunny.
