Its moving to the northeast around 35 to 40 miles an hour. Abington, there you see a new lightning strike. So be very careful with this lightning across the area. And as we track this portion of the storm, its moving, again, to the northeast pretty quickly around 35 40 miles an hour. Lower moreland township. Ben salem, 6 16, and middletown by about 6 21. So we will continue tracking all these storms for you, especially as they continue moving through the area. And like glenn showed you, that severe thunderstorm watch, thats been trimmed a bit. But we are still watching a severe thunderstorm thats moving through the major interstates surrounding the philadelphia area from philadelphia to trenton. Now, theres Surveillance Video that shows a suspect driving one of the victims cars. He parks it and then walks away. The attacks hapless thanless than 1 2 mile apart. Rosemary connors live from that neighborhood. And what are police doing today to track down the attacker . Reporter well their main effort today was to circulate that video. In fact, investigators return to the neighborhood here of the most recent attack to make sure that neighbors, they also see that video and come forward if they have any information. Just got to be careful. Watch your back at all times. The cause for concern is this man. According to police a 35yearold woman woke up monday morning in her row home on rosewood street to find him hovering over her bed. Investigators say he stole the victims car and dumped it after demanding money and sexually assaulting her. Very scary. Very disturbing. Were going to each neighbors door, making sure your doors are locked. Make sure your doors locked. He says the warning may seem obvious, but its important especially considering the predator on his block may be the same man in this sketch. Police suspect mondays attack is the work of the man wanted in a similar assault in march. Back on rosewood street investigators return to the block today after a report of a possible breakin at the same house where the victim was attacked on monday. Police are checking to see if there may be a connection. Ive been on this block since 92. Heartbroken because it happened to a sweet girl like that. Reporter neighbors tell me tonight theyre planning to make sure all of their doors are locked they will be going door to door to check on everybody. Nearly two months after a man died in the custody of Vineland Police, family and friends have few answers. It is still unclear how philip white died. Cell phone video taken moments before his death have some criticizing officers for using too much force. One group has evidence that Vineland Police are using more force than other departments. Nbc 10s drew smith is live in vineland tonight with the story. Drew . Reporter renee, within 100 days three people died in Police Custody here in cumberland county. Thats what drove the Latino Leadership Alliance here to Vineland Police. They compared it to larger cities, like jersey city and found that use of force was reported twice as much here. Vineland police are now reviewing an activist groups analysis of more than 800 use of force reports. The Department Says it wants to review some parts for accuracy. But the people who live here say the information confirms what theyre seeing on the streets. Its senseless. And its reckless because ive seen videos. Shes talking about this cell phone video of officers and phillip white. He died in custody back in march. Prosecutors continue to investigate the case. Theres no justice for us when it comes to them. The Latino Leadership Alliance found a handful of officers are using force most often. It singles out the top 11 in vineland. That represents 8 of the total department and theyre responsible for 34 of all the incidents. I dont see it changing. Until some real people come out here and really start digging in city hall and police department. It aint going to change. In a written statement, the Department Said it stands by its officers and their actions unless investigation proves otherwise. Ella georgia says her interaction with police has always been positive and she isnt jumping to conclusions either. So much good they do to overcome the bad. And, i think the bad here is minimal. I sent this report along to the prosecutor. She says shell check it out. The police chief here is on vacation. Morgan sued walmart after one of the companys Truck Drivers crashed into his limo in north jersey last june. The accident killed one person it seriously injured morgan. Terms of the settlement are not being disclosed. And now to a crime investigators describe as a fox raiding the hen house. A former worker for the Philadelphia School district is under arrest. Priscilla wright is charged with conflict of interest and perjury. She steered a contract to her friends and family, wright has now resigned from her position with the school district. And septa plans to change its policy on advertisements. The board will vote on the change tomorrow. This comes after an antiislamic ad featuring adolf hitler was plastered on buses back in april. Im glad i lived here as a kid. Reporter they were born and raised in this neighborhood originally built in the early 1900s for working class families. Youre talking 1940s style kitchen setup with the old gas, and we had an old coal stove initially. But now, this neighborhood is in for a major reset. Ground now broken on the flats over the next decade about 430 homes will be torn down in phases. Some are already down. There are residents relocated around the area until 450 new, more modern yet more Affordable Homes are ready. The homes have been updated over the last 100 years, but the windows are really old, heating and cooling systems are inefficient. Renovating the homes was an option that was on the table. But im told in the end, a rebuild makes a whole lot more sense. The flats is a Woodlawn Trustees project. In the news recently for trying to sell off lots of wide open space. Many others adamantly insist should be undeveloped. This is what we very rarely talk about. This is why some of them are liquidated in order to make things happen on the other part of the mission. Difficult at times, but necessary. Difficult he says to have to sell off valued open space to foot the bill for Affordable Housing projects which are also part of the trustees mission. If residents can handle the temporary relocation and can afford the new rents once the new homes are built, john and harry say the flats could be to some families what it once was to theirs. You can see the conditions are improving from west to east the heaviest of the storms right over philadelphia right now. And as soon as it moves past conditions will improve dramatically. This is the last of the heavy precipitation, comes down from Lower Bucks County through the abington area through philadelphia, and into parts of Gloucester County. It will get to hamilton at 6 32 and then it will just continue to move out. Right over center city it was right here just five minutes ago. So it does continue to move across the river right on camden right now. And the precipitation rates are pretty amazing. 3. 66 inches per hour. So if it stayed in one spot for one hour we get 3 1 2 plus inches of that would cause some big problems. Fortunately, these things are moving. And the one in south philly, 2. 95 inches per hour. And the one near paulsboro, another heavy one moving to the east. 2. 21 inches per hour. Another area up toward bucks county and into Mercer County. That is improving a little bit. Ewing township getting pretty heavy showers now, and theyre going to get another batch thats coming from bucks county. Youre going to get the biggest of the rain in the next few hours. Temperature really dropping behind this. 70 degrees in pottstown now. Got up to 89 degrees today. And were going to get down near 70 degrees in half an hour in philadelphia. Its quite a drop.
