I think you will like it. Thats coming up in a couple minutes. A philadelphia man is still in the hospital after being shot by his 78yearold mom. Police say the woman, who has not been charged at this point, may have had a good reason to pull the trigger. Matt delucia joins us live from the hospital where that man is being treated. Mom and son lived together, right . Reporter thats right, chris. That mothers 45yearold son is here at einstein and is able after undergoing surgery last night. Take a look at video from the scene. Philadelphia police tell us this happened just after 9 00 last night inside that home on the 5700 block of mcmahon. Investigators tell us the mother fired at least one shot hitting her son in the abdomen. A few hours ago he did go into surgery, but police tell us he is stable at this point and now police are trying to put all of the pieces together. They know that the two live in this house together. There may have been an argument just before the gunfire. Now, investigators found the womens gun in a bedroom drawer and they found her son may have had a gun as well. We will determine after an investigation if the shooting was justified and in self defense but right now its an investigation on going. Detectives have obtained a search warrant to get into that home to retrieve the mothers gun and sons gun if they are able to find one. The 78yearold mother was questioned earlier and released and detectives talked with neighbors that heard the gunfire but as of right now, no charges have been filed. I am matt delucia, nbc 10 news. The family of a young man shot and killed outside the Dell Music Center earlier this month is holding a rally today. The 20yearold was gunned down on the night of august 13th outside the music center which was hosting a peace concert at the time. Investigators believe he got into a fight over a woman. Police are looking for this man in the surveillance camera here, and they call this man a person of interest in the murder and if you recognize him call the police. And then the state Police Released this new Surveillance Video as they look for three more robbery suspects. A 16yearold has already been arrested. They tried to hold up a liquor store in wilmington, and the clerk fought back and one of the them shot the clerk. He is expected to be okay. From the south jersey bureau, a purse snatcher dragged a 75yearold woman to the ground and she is now in Critical Condition with a broken hip and dislocated shoulder. They were strolling around the prom annoy prom need. He drug her down. He figured and he did, he could knock us down and we wouldnt give much of a fight. The security guards were distracted while two other men went after the woman. Now to the Philadelphia School budget crisis. As schools prepare to open in a few weeks, teachers are concerned about how budget cuts could affect them and their students. They sat at a table set up outside the School District headquarters, and he listened to teachers concerns about how cuts can effect classrooms and students and programs. They want to know if they can go back to the same school they worked in in the previous year. The teacher could have to go and find another school. Now the teachers concerns will be taken back to the negotiating table when talks resume between the union and the School District. The district is entering the district with an 81 million deficit. The rain has been around throughout much of the morning and its drifting to the southeast, so thats good news. We are seeing periods of light rain over the region, especially in Lehigh Valley and of course around philadelphia. Temperatures are not bad at all. There is a look at the rainfall. You can see its now clearing out from the Lehigh Valley and now its moving to norris town, and we are getting light rain from philadelphia to ocean county and burlington county, too. We think portions of delaware and cape may, we should remain dry, at least this morning. That could change, though, this afternoon. A close look at philadelphia where we had passing showers earlier and now its moving through this morning, and its light rain at this hour, and some of the heavier amounts have now started to diminish.
