He told her that, if we cant be together, someones got to go. Reporter that someone, 53yearold kevin brown, the young womans father. Police say he was sleeping alongside his wife when screams woke them. Smith had the gun and was ordered by ali they say to go after the family members in the house. Police say brown was yelling from the house for someone to grab a gun. They say he was barricaded on the second floor in his bedroom with his wife and after he was shot, he tried to escape through that window. That was deanna duran gy reporting. Stone was in sacramento when police say he became involved in an argument that led to a physical confrontation. Police say the two suspects fled the scene. Stone is said to be in stable condition with significant but not lifethreatening injuries. This incident is a very unfortunate altercation between two groups of folks who are enjoying the night life in midtown sacramento. The assault does not appear to be a random act. Its believed to be related to a nightclub incident. 23yearold stone, two of his childhood friends, helped tackle a gunman on a parisbound train in august, foiling a terror plot. Dr. Vasamin lives in bethlehem but practiced medicine at several Lehigh Valley hospitals. Reporter the Police Affidavit is uncomfortable to read as it details abuse that stretches over a threeyear period. When he surrendered to authorities on child sex abuse charges it was a shock to those who knew the doctor. The children had made some statements to people that were involved that suggested there was abuse going on. Of course it then led to a police investigation. Reporter prosecutors say the machine room fit is accused of indecent assault of a 5yearold girl and 10yearold boy from 2011 to 2014. The decision to charge was made based on the statements of the child and from what i was told the children are very credible and are able to relay what happened to them. My client claims that he is innocent of these charges. Defense attorney and is hopeful jurors will listen to both sides. Our hope is that notwithstanding the type of charge this is, that everybody will keep an open mind. Reporter prosecutors also want to know if the case against dr. Korapotti begins and ends here. New information on last weeks Sexual Assault and robbery of a Temple University student. A suspect is in custody, arrested on an unrelated probation violation. They say that suspect is the same person seen on this Surveillance Video that they released on friday. Its said volkswagen rigged diesel cars to pass emissions tests. Horn testified this was true and the software was installed in 500,000 cars starting in model year 2009. Horn added that although the vehicles wouldnt pass current emissions tests, they are still legal and safe to drive. New information about the nurse who reused syringes when administering flu shots. Health officials now say that nurses license is temporarily suspended. The Health Department says nurse mary robach voluntarily surrendered her license yesterday. Officials say they reused syringes while giving flu shots to 67 patients at a new jersey pharmaceutical company. The state board of nursing will decide if shes able to practice again. Officials say patients risk of infection from the sir risks is low because the needles were swapped out each time. New details this afternoon from our Delaware Bureau involving a government drug lab scandal. The state Supreme Court is now deciding whether to toss out hundreds of guilty pleas in drug cases because of this scandal. Delawares Drug Testing Lab was shut down last year because of evidence, thefts and tampering. Public defenders are arguing that guilty pleas should be tossed out. They say its not clear whether prosecutors could have ever proven guilt had the cases gone to trial. Its not clear when the state Supreme Court will rule. A local community is trying to find out who vand lighted their baseball field. You can see massive flames, smoke engulfing this warehouse. Took crews over two hours to get this fire under control. The warehouse was empty at the time of the fire and no injuries are reported. Hundreds of roads and bridges in South Carolina will remain closed today as the state continues to deal with historic flooding. The man being hailed a hero for trying to save others is out of the hospital. 30yearold chris mince was released from the hospital last night. Mince, who was also a tenyear army vet, was shot several times during the rampage. He was able to pull the fire alarm during the shooting. This all comes after the shooting left nine people dead and nine hurt last week in roseburg. The suspect in that shooting, 26yearold chris harper mercer, was shot by police before he took his own life. President obama will be in roseburg tomorrow for a closeddoor visit with the families of the victims.
