He said a peaceful moment in the mideast may be passing. And the president talked about why he commuted the sentence of Chelsea Manning yesterday. He said, quote, she served a tough prison sentence and justice has been served. Obama said commuting her sentence should not make people think they wont face for leaking classified documents. Manning served seven of her 35 years sentenced. Took responsibility for her crime. That the sentence that she received was very disproportional relative to what others had received. Miss man handgun been known as Bradley Manning when the former Army Intelligence analyst gave documents to the wikileaks website. And among all the other big topics that president drew special attention to lgbt rights. Obama said he could not be prouder of the progress that has been made over the past decade. We walked through the new day dropping center which provides resources for up to 50 women a day. A place sex trafficking victims can turn to on kensington avenue. They can come back and get food or clothing or toilet i ares. Reporter jamie is the director of antitrafficking for the Salvation Army. Our staff hear stories every day about women being raped, women being threatened at knife point. Reporter the Salvation Army will be the leading Nonprofit Group with a caseworker helping victims alongside investigators at Philadelphia Police and special victims unit. Police, prosecutors, the fbi, and victims groups united in the fight against human trafficking. The task force is getting help through a 1. 3 million grant over the next several years.
