Now, the organization new Sanctuary Movement is a coalition of religious congregations with the aim of promoting positive relations between the undocumented community and Law Enforcement. Today they watched as press Secretary Sean Spicer announced sanctions. They described what life was like for undocumented immigrants in philadelphia before it became a sanctuary city back in 2014. There were immigrants who were victims of crime, who were, like, thought there was crime happening. They were not reporting it because they were afraid that they would be deported, which happened. So there was no relationship with Law Enforcement at all. Reporter so their biggest concern at this time is that if philadelphias status as sanctuary city is revoked, that immigrant communities will be fearful of working with police.
