It started about 12 30 today, thats when the first report came out that governor mike pence was going to be trumps pick. But by 2 30, Nbcs Kelly Odonnell reported no decision had been made. And theres a divide among the trump family over who should be chosen. Less than an hour later, we heard from one of the family members, donald trump jr. Live on msnbc. He said his father had not made a choice. But would decide this afternoon. Bottom line, were still waiting for tomorrows official announcement, which will happen in just about 18 hours from now. One thing everybody seems to agree upon, one of these three men will be trumps Vice President. Chris christie, Newt Gingrich or mike pence. But the Transit Agency still doesnt know what caused them. Septa engineers used a flashlight and pointer to show off the cracks to the suspension system. A third of septas entire fleet is off the tracks until the problem can be fixed. Meantime, thousands of riders are left with limited service and fewer seats. Under new state guidelines, School Districts have one year to get the job done if they want to be reimbursed for those tests. The new rules were put in place after elevated lead levels were found in water at several schools in the state. The regulations also called for districts to test their water every six years. Help is on the way to clean up the water supply in montgomery county. Thanks to a 10 Million Grant Fund included in the state budget, the money will go to necessary infrastructure, such as carbon filters, to remove carcinogenic chemicals from contaminated well water. Chemicals used in Fire Fighting foam at a former military base near horsham may have leached into the water supply causing contamination. If youre in trouble, you can call 911 of course. What if you lived in Camden County now. You can actually text help as well. The Communication Center is one of the first 911 call centers in the state to have that technology. Residents who cant make a call in an emergency situation or dont have reception, they can send a text and receive responses there emergency operators. The Pennsylvania Health department is debuting a new phase in its fight against zika. Today the department started handing out about 2,500 zika prevention kits for pregnant women. What a lot of the educational efforts have been about is educating the public about things they can do, simple things they can do to prevent exposure to mosquitoes. Those steps include staying indoors when mosquitoes are most active, and making sure theres no standing water in your yard. Where mosquitoes can breed. An official in New Castle County is squashing his plan to fine people for having standing water on their properties. County councilman david tacket has withdrawn his proposal. More horns, more middle fingers, and in some cases even more violence. Aaa said 8 out of 10 drivers said they had road rage. Drivers in the northeastern u. S. , thats us, are more aggressive than drivers in other parts of the country. It makes me nuts when i see people texting and weaving in and out of the lanes. Is it worth chasing them down or riding their bumper . It makes no sense. You just need to let it go. My wife just said smile at them and have a blessed day. Reporter experts say dont go home, call 911 or try to stop at a police or fire station where there will be people to help you. Potentially dangerous, too, which is why we have a first alert out for the heat, feeling around 100 degrees. Not just today, but this is going to continue for tomorrow. If you look at that sevenday right at the bottom of your screen, you can see the heat not just lasting today and tomorrow, its actually going to be through the weekend and even into next week. Now, as far as that feelslike temperature, we feel like triple digits. Feels like 104 in dover. Vineland feels like 98 degrees. Trenton, you feel like 9 degrees with the humidity. So the humidity is making it feel so much more uncomfortable. This weekend, though, the humidity is going to drop a bit. Thats a bonus. Its still going to be hot, though. Temperatures still around 90 degrees. Just a little more comfortable and not feeling like 100 this weekend. Next week, however, the humiditys going to go up again. We have another round of showers and storms. So at least one day the rain will help to cool us down. But thats going to be one of the rainier days. You see how much of a difference the humidity makes, about a tendegree difference for at least most of the area. Thats why were staying this is potentially dangerous heat. Were dry right now on radar. I really dont think were going to see any more rain relief as we go through tonight. The only thunderstorms we have were earlier this afternoon through the Lehigh Valley. Those have quickly moved away. Tomorrow, i really dont think were going to see much in the way of rain relief either. Weve gotten to the mid90s in philadelphia. Felt around 104. Tomorrow feels around 100. I mentioned the humidity will be lower saturday. Thats going to make a bit of a difference there. High of 90 for saturday. Maybe feeling a couple degrees warmer, but not feeling like the triple digits like we are today. As we go through time, overnight and into tomorrow, well be staying mostly dry. Tomorrow afternoon, theres a chance we could see some showers try to pop up. I dont think its going to be very widespread. Then tomorrow evening, were still going to be very warm and very humid going into your weekend. Your weekend forecast going to stay hot. Saturday theres a chance we could have a popup afternoon shower or thunderstorm. But its going to be a mostly dry day with the heat still here, right around 90 degrees for most of the area saturday.
