Up in many places. Theres some of the activity. Now, most of the lightning strikes are actually down in maryland now. If anything, theyre going to be crossing into northern delaware over the next couple of hours. Heres that storm that just went through allentown. Its right over easton at the moment. And it continues to be producing heavy rain. But only for a short period of time. Because its moving so fast. So right over downtown easton, theyre getting poured on right now. Another little storm in northern bucks county, just south of richland and north of perkesey, producing widespread severe storm damage. Getting isolated spots. Meteorologist Sheena Parveen gets into more detail on those. Glenn, even though some of these are breaking up a bit, theyre still fairly strong. They still contain very heavy rain, even lightning. Like glenn mentioned even damaging wind gusts potentially, even possibly marblesized hail. Take a look now, and were seeing this thunderstorm, it is severe. It is in maryland. But it is very quickly approaching New Castle County. This is one Severe Thunderstorm Warning for maryland. But it is heading towards New Castle County in northern delaware. Now, this one has some very heavy rain with it. Lightning as well. Traveling to the east around 40 miles an hour. Newark can expect 2 by 6 14. Pennsville 6 34. Salem 6 46. That is one strong thunderstorm there. Another one as we look closer to chester county, thorndale can expect this thunderstorm by 6 07. Lionville 6 16. We have some more developing. Theyre very small. Theyre getting stronger in bucks county. Glenn will show you a closer look at the storms for the rest of this evening, all coming up. Other news now, pennsylvanias top law enforcer steps down. This afternoon attorney general Kathleen Kane announced her resignation less than 24 hours after a jury found her guilty on all counts. The shakeup begins tomorrow. Kane is leaving office and her second in command bruce castor is taking over. Nbc 10s Deanna Durante reports tonight in the state capital. Reporter escorted quickly from the courthouse after her conviction, it may be the last time caKathleen Kane is seen publicly in her position. Shes stepping down as the attorney general. I dont have any stake in the outcome of the case. Reporter but with her criminal conviction, bruce castor gets the post he wanted 12 years ago. The former District Attorney of Montgomery County ran for attorney general, and lost to tom corbett. Castor was appointed to kanes top deputy in march, a new post she created. And then he filled the chief deputy vacancy weeks ago. The republican could hold the job until a new attorney general is elected in november. They have no idea the learning curve that it will take when they get here. We have very capable prosecutors, investigators, and staff to help them. But i still think that thats going to be a big job. Reporter castor recently tried to get his old job back, but he lost to his former employee, the man who led the prosecution at kanes criminal trial. Castor said he will take a look at the office, the staffers and those involved in the kane criminal probe. But he said the main focus is to restore order to the office of attorney general. The governor could exercise his right to appoint someone, and if the senate accepts that appointment, that means castors tenure could run out before the voters have a chance to elect a permanent replacement in november. Deanna durante, nbc 10 news. Now, to the push for pennsylvania in decision 2016. For the second day in a row, Hillary Clinton made a pitch to voters here in pennsylvania. She wrapped up her second event of the day in West Philadelphia a short time ago. Clinton has focused on pennsylvania since the Democratic National Convention Last month. Today marks her eighth stop in the keystone state, in the last three weeks. Lauren mayk reports on clintons visit to West Philadelphia today. One of the suspects used brass knuckles during the attack. Police say they have arrested one of two men caught on this surveillance camera, robbing asianowned businesses throughout philadelphia. Theyre still looking for the other. Officers believe the pair is responsible for 11 holdups since may. Norman bowen is under arrest tonight. The other suspects name is anthony campbell. I think it was simply following actually the path that the previous mayor and the current mayor have laid for integrity and transparency. So its going just north of newark, right around 6 23, 6 46 at wilmington, 6 57 at claymont. Thats the strongest storm thats left. We have one smaller cell thats going to phoenixville about 6 42. The heat wave continues. It was another brutal day today. 94 for the high. It felt like 105. Day seven. But were going to be getting relief in the form of lower humidity.
