More on the rain timing and how cold it will get in a few minutes over the weekend. The suspected organizer of the paris terror attacks is dead, thats according to the paris prosecutors office. They say Abdelhamid Abaaoud died in yesterdays raid in an apartment in a paris suburb. He was identified by fingerprints. Frances interior minister also revealed this morning that officials did not know abaaoud was in europe before the attack. As nbcs keir simmons shows us, authorities stopped him as he was poised to strike again. Abdelhamid abaaoud is believed by the french prosecutor to have been killed in the raids yesterday. He was 29 years ole. He was variously described as the mastermind, the linchpin, whatever word you use, he is the man that french authorities believe was behind the attack in paris, the massacre that killed 129 people. Yesterday they raided that third floor apartment. Two people were killed, a woman and a man. They were not able to identify the man because his body was so badly damaged by the fire fight so they had to use fingerprint identify diagnosis establish that it is, they believe, abaaoud. Its a very, very Important Development not least because the french believe that terror cell was planning another attack in paris and at the same time, they will be stunned he managed to make his way to the center of europe. Prior to that Intelligence Services across europe believe he was with isis in syria and that he perhaps planned this plot from there. Instead it now appears he had managed to make his way right to this capital city of france and himself orchestrate those attacks. The vote would continue to grant Police Expanded powers to carry out arrests and searches and restrict the publics movement at certain times. A group of airport workers are on strike at Philadelphia International airport and those workers are set to meet mayorelect jim kenney in less than an hour. This is one of about a half dozen airports where workers have been on strike during the morning rush hour and theyre set to come out again at lunchtime. Six middle School Students were cited for drinking alcohol. Allentown police say the students were drinking vodka at the middle school. Police were called to the school earlier this month to break up fights there. Remember when this happened last month four allentown officers were hurt in fights at nearby William Allen high school . The fight started between two girls and went viral on social media. About 200 students in all were involved and police in allentown have dealt with several violent incidents at schools recently. Two weeks ago a student at a high school allegedly pushed a teacher down some bleachers during a pep rally. Yesterday a Charter School student allegedly punched a School Bus Driver and in nearby Bethlehem Police say nine liberty high School Students were charged with fighting. And Philadelphia Police hope this new video will help them lead to a man who they say stole 37,000 worth of items from a home. Authorities say the burglar got in through a rear window of the home in olney some time during the day on tuesday. He spent about 20 minutes inside the home gathering computers, watches, cameras and jewelry in a basket and then he walked out the front door. Crews in philadelphia put out a fire on the roof of an applebees restaurant on city avenue. Everyone got out safely. Officials are looking for the cause of the fire. And everyone is back inside a recycling plant in grays ferry after Philadelphia Police checked out a suspicious device and found it was a fake rocket roe pelled grenade. Skyforce 10 flew over the scene at grays ferry avenue. No one was hurt. Happening today, the secret Service Agent accused of sexting an underaged girl while on duty has a Court Hearing in delaware. Lee robert moore is due in federal court in wilmington this afternoon. Hes accused of soliciting someone he thought was a 14yearold girl. The prosecutors say he sent lewd photos of himself and they say some of the sexting occurred while he was working at the white house. It turned out he was chatting online with a Delaware State Police detective. He is currently suspended from duty. Feeding the parking meter . Theres now an app for that. Starting today the new app to pay for parking goes live in parts of philadelphia and its called meter up. Heres how it works. No more searching for change. The picture of the bomb or the purported bomb was published in the terror groups online propaganda magazine. It was disguised inside a soda can and the magazine says the bomb was smuggled on the plane after isis discovered a way to compromise airport security. The photo has not been verified by nbc news but experts say a bomb that small could do a lot of damage. If the bomb was real, the can would have to be packed with an efficient explosive. It could be any kind of explosive but the more reliable, the more efficient it would be, for example a military type explosive. Here in the u. S. Experts say a soda can would likely not get passed a tsa checkpoint but the biggest potential security gap exists in catering carts and cargo that are not always 100 screened. A bomb Threat Forces a flight to egypt to make an emergency landing. The airplane was heading from warsaw, poland, when it was diverted to bulgaria. Small Planet Airlines says a passenger said something to the crew about the explosive he might be carrying. They say he later admitted it was a joke. No bomb was found. The airline was set to put the passengers on another plane so that they could complete their journey. Former subway spokesman jared fogel officially pleaded guilty to child pornography and sex crime charges and now hes awaiting the judges sentences. F fogle agreed to the plea deal in august. He admitted to paying for sex with girls as young as 16 years of age as well as receiving child pornography by the director of the jared foundation. Prosecutors are seeking a 12 year sentence while fogels attorney have asked for five years. In western pennsylvania, a stolen school bus crashed into a store. And some georgia residents are cleaning up this morning after strong storms and possibly a tornado that tore through their town last night. Its actually a General Program that were doing but we are specific to our liberian women because we know they are holding on to so many things and we are telling name its okay, you can open up and speak out. My experience with the group has been greet because with liberian women, because of our tradition and where we were brought up we were kept in the home just to take care of the children and bring our children not to go throughout to represent families the way the men do.
