Weve imposed sanctions for years yet kim jongun acts badly. High arent they working . 85 to 90 of north koreas trade is with china and china hasnt clamped down p until we get china to do that on oil and other critical matters, they probably wont. Remember, they have the materials to fight a conventional war and build additional weapons. Weve also seen them be aggressive on the cyber front as well in the u. S. And the region. So sanctions keep us vulnerable as well. This is why you hear people say these are bad options, sanctions and military strike, so what about diplomacy. Why dont we sit down facetoface with north koreans and talk about these issues. Isnt that what kim jongun is looking for . He probably is. Were getting closer and closer to be willing to. I think at this point we cant get into his provocation. On that front we have to make clear were going to continue this training with the south koreans and show we are one because kim jongun wants to separate us from south korea.
