Reporter initial reports that the passenger tried to storm the cockpit are untrue. This is a serious situation. One Flight Attendant and a passenger were injured when another passenger got out of hand in the air. Tense moments thursday, after an unruly first class passenger forced a Delta Airlines flight headed to beijing, to return to seattletacoma airport. A man aboard delta flight 129 assaulted a Flight Attendant. Several passengers then helped restrain the alleged attacker until the plane landed back in seattle. Sources tell nbc news, plastic handcuffs or a device like zip ties, were used to restrain the passenger. With the incident creating frustration and rattling nerves, the airport released a statement overnight, reading in part, two were treated and transported to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. The subject was taken into custody by police. The seattle fbi says the 23yearold man is from florida, and was removed from the aircraft shortly after 7 00 p. M. Local time.
