But when he started swinging the saber at customers, like he had a bomb, everyone went running for cover. This cell phone video could be straight from a martial arts movie, but its the apple store on fifth avenue. A crazed man with a Samurai Sword brought the packed store friday. In the video, you see police and security follow the man up the spiral staircase. When he pulls out this sword, i mean, im telling you, the blade was this big. He was right on top of me on the glass stairs. I basically looked up and all i saw was him swinging a sword. Reporter luis apollo says customers rushed to the emergency exits when the man bomb. He got on his knees and he tried to puncture himself with the sword and started to count upwards from one to 10. Reporter he snapped these two offduty nypd officers hes been identified as tsu chen, charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. Mayor medics took him to Bellevue Hospital for a psych evaluation. Witnesses say it all happened within a matter of minutes and apples Popular Flagship store never closed. Throughout the evening, uniformed officers and security patrolled the plaza along fifth avenue. I mean, a sword . Down there you see the police still here inside a home there, where a woman was found, the victim, a woman suspect, and a baby born in the middle of all the violence. I seen when they were wheeling her out and had the blanket over her. Reporter the victim, only 22 years old killed by another woman the same age inside 4450 monticello avenue. Appears the two ladies knew each other. Reporter a baby girl was delivered moments after the blood shed. Police say they believe the woman killed is the mother, but the woman arrested claims it is her baby. Bronx city councilman andy king says investigators told him they are looking into one theory in particular. So youre saying that the motive could be baby snatching. Thats possible . Yes, yes, yes. That, that is what is being talked about early on, that it was a baby snatch. Reporter the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. The baby is described by doctors as healthy. Autopsy and blood tests will confirm who she belongs to. Neighbors are stunned by the violence. We were out here for a while before the ambulance took the lady out of the home and then had another lady handcuffed and then afterwards they put her in the ambulance and went off. Reporter police say a key to helping them solve this mystery may be a man who was inside the home at the time, a man they believe may have called 9 is 1. Reporter store receipts and product bar codes usually just contain pricing information and transaction references, but for someone who wants your information, these bar codes can open a window of opportunity. Whether or not youre home at that time, if its a burglar looking, i can change seats, i can cancel flights. Reporter in some instances, they can access your home and e mail address or even steal your frequent flyer miles. Then youll be none the wiser until you go in and look at the account and see. Kind of shocked. I never even, never even occurred to me. That would be a lot of personal information that people have easy access to. And there we go. Reporter experts say exercise caution with your boarding pass. Dont leave it behind or toss it in the trash. And dont post them on social media.
