She is charged with inducing panic, making false alarms and obstuction of justice for sending authorities on yesterdays wild goose chase to find her missing baby who was never police. Bentons ford focus was eventually recovered after the juvenille suspects crashed it along prosperity place, not far from Western Hills high school. Today in court, her attorney told the judge that benton never told 911 dispatchers her child was in her stolen car. And that because she was so upset, things may have gotten miscommunicatedi spoke with one her relatives who was in court today. She describes benton as a good mother. She added that she has no connection whatsoever to the two teens arrested and now charged with receiving stolen property no she do not know the people we do not know the people just some little thugs in the neighborhood. I have no idea on that no comment comment the judge gave benton two options either a 20thousand dollar or electronic monitoring. This case now goes lamilyan and two other children ages 5 and 7 are now being cared for by a relative. Benton is only allowed to have supervised visits at this time. There is new information at this hour in the case of a missing indiana paramedic. Charges are being filed against craig whitham. You recall he was under investigation for taking over 100thousand dollars from his employer. The aurora Emergency Rescue when he vanished. Now he is charged with theft. We asked the chief about the investigation into what led up to this crash. 10 23 there was no evidence at the scene i saw of drugs. I looked inside the cars and didnt see anything and the drivers they said they had no known history of using drugs. So right now still a mystery on what led up to this crash.
