Right now firefighters are combing through piles of scorched stuff in this home. Theyve been at it for about an hour now trying to determine what started this. Theyre focused on this side of the home where the damage was worst. But so far the cause here remains a mystery. Firefighters found much more than just smokey conditions like these when they got to this home here on olympia drive. They say the fire was through the roof. You can tell from the damage how intense it was. Firefighters say they were even getting calls from drivers on reading road and western row roads who spotted the flames. Once crews got the go inside. They made a sad discovery the body of a person in bed in the back of the home. Firefighters dont believe anyone else was inside. Afterward we asked crews about how they dealt with all the snow still on the ground.
